This is definitely a result of some sort of personal grudge. I doubt that you (those who consistently post items that get deleted) all care about the community and their investment.

VC translates into the company answering to a entity they may not have the best interests of the company but more so for the bottom line- which can be misleading in regards to running a successful project/effort.

When is the final date of ico? I have been seeing this thread from last year November. It's too much time and how much tokens are left?
April 9th will be the last day of the token sale as I know. So there are still 6 days to join this project.
Progress bar is still at 16,6% on the website, so it makes over 100 mil tokens sold. The ICO has been going for quite a while, I think everybody who wanted to join has already done so, now I'd like to see some results, some statements from the team.
It's safe to say that there won't be big increases in tokens sold any more but the project will continue as the soft cap has been reached.
According all info the softcap would be enough to continue the project.

As for me, I would rather prefer Sphere to be known for its distinct features as social media platform rather than capitalize on Facebook's blunder and I had high hopes they can do it.

Well that's not quite right... if the data would be encrypted and that info is stored in the blockchain it would be pretty private.

As for your question regarding the remaining tokens, they are going to be added into the "user acquisition pool". That pool is then going to be distributed amongst our users in the future both as incentive, and as a token of gratitude.
With 'users' you mean people who are selling their data to you, not only people who invested in your TGE, right?
I would assume 'users' are people selling their data as well as companies/institutions that want to buy data. But maybe dev can clarify.
It can lower the price, but I hope the team will evaluate the situation before releasing the tokens from the acquisition pool, so it doesn't influence the price much.
Burning always rises the price but giving them away as an inceptive is also a good idea. For me it's the same.

The platform is just a presentation from what I see. It would have been a good thing if it was functional. From what I saw on the Roadmap, they will launch the Cryptoflix Alpha Platform in the third quarter.

No, it's better to improve living conditions, maybe have some birth control, so the population growth goes down.
At the current state there will be never something like birth control out of different reasons. China tried it and failed with it. Reason? People wanted more children, or wanted to get a son instead of a daughter so they killed sometimes their daughters after birth or other things.
I also assume that it is hard to make something like birth control because how do you want to control it? And when someone has more children how do you want to punish them? Prison? A fine?

Yes i also think that decentralized social media can disrupt this industry. With all the recent scandal people will want more transaparancy, maybe with some time, sphere can become a huge social network, of crypto world continue to expend its not impossible.
Maybe Sphere can become a starting point or escape point from Facebook with the privacy options which sphere has.
I kinda hope this is the case. Facebook isn't doing very good things lately.

Maybe we have a chance now for crypto social media. A lot of people and companies starting to delete or at least stop using facebook for advertisment thanks to the big data abuse scandal.
I have been thinking about it too, but some websites that needs to be login with facebook. So Im stuck for a while. Maybe remove personal contents.
Will gladly move to Sphere after this.
I only use Facebook because of my spotify account, besides that i stopped using it and i have so many people around stopped using facebook due to some privacy concerns, which seems true after latest news. So Sphere can thrive with the privacy side of social media.
I must say it's quite naive to just now find out Facebook knows too much about you and isn't always using it respectfully

I am seeing more and more projects postponing or extending their token sales. I am starting to wonder what we are waiting for. G20 is over and it was not horrible, but people are still scared to invest.
That is also my observation. I think most of the crypto community got a little bit of trauma with this highly volatile market and I do hope it will recover very soon.
What could start a bull run?
Before I dived into the crypto ocean a year ago, I was watching the price of Litecoin on BTC-e (what a popular site that was) until I saw it jump from $4 to $50 after a few boring years and of course Ethereum from $10 to $90 which could be mined with a GPU instead of an ASIC and enabled a platform for startups.
It will be very hard to get a situation like that again.
1. Sudden price increase after years of boredom.
2. New way to acquire coins.
3. New way of using crypto.
Right now, I am happy when the market does not go down any further. But you are right, it's not that easy to turn the switch and everything is going up again.
IF all the rumors are true, then a lof of capital will enter the cryptoshpere in the next couple of months. We will see

No no no way, you don't have to spend $1 to transact erc20 tokens, but you know what? FLIX is an erc223 token, which is even way cheaper to transact because it use one function (transfer) instead of two (approve and transferFrom, that's the case of erc20. I copy paste from Dexaran page on github:
- ERC223 transfer to contract consumes 2 times less gas than ERC20 approve and transferFrom at receiver contract.
- Allows to deposit tokens intor contract with a single transaction. Prevents extra blockchain bloating.
- Makes token transactions similar to Ether transactions.
Oh yes, you're right! I totally forgot that Flix is an ERC223 token. The advantages over ER20 token you mention are also described in their whitepaper.
