I was expecting a bigger drop in ETH price after news broke, but it has been pretty stable.
(I also doubt the whole "I'm a newbie theory").

he ethereum holders will have to suffer from that mistake.

A newb turned a smart contract into a multi-sig wallet, declared ownership and suicided it destroying the library that multi-sig wallets depend on making all the ETH frozen for good.

And with newb I mean; yes, litterally a newb. Apparantly he isn't quite aware of what he did and I think he's scared because he basically just burned like 500k-800k Ethereum (100-300 million USD)

Holy Cow! How is something like this even possible? Thought the whole point was so no one can itnerefere?

Is it profitable to try and mine BTC with a computer? Seems to take forever to earn just 1 Satoshi.

im new to this field and hope to invest on my first ico.i dont have huge capital.so i like to start with a affordable good ico.i hope to invest with in 1 week.can you please tell me your ideas about running/upcomming icos

Collectorcoin looks extremely promising and they launch ICO December 1st 2017.

I actually already invested because It is the First ICO I have ever seen that already had businesses ready to accept the coin.

They also aren't offering their token at $1-$2 (those ICOs leave a lot of potential for loss) I usually stay away from those.

Look for an ICO with a vision that you like and support. This always helps.

Re: how to predict bitcoin price increase or decrease?

We see sometimes bitcoin price increase or decrease. How I can predict whether bitcoin price increase or decrease.Again, who controll this price.I appreciate if you kindly share your experience.

The price is controlled by the market. Like a stock in a company except in this case it's a digital stock in a Limited Coin.

If it has market acceptance via businesses or peer-to-peer transactions then it has demand.

Supply > Demand the coin will not have value.

Demand > Supply = increase in token coin value

Re: Right time to buy altcoin
by

I wouldn't buy altcoins right now, because I want to gain the new "Bitcoins" on hardfork in October and November. But if you don't care, it would be the right time to buy alts. They will for sure go up, after the Bitcoin "show".

I agree with both of these statements but mainly this one. Bitcoin is on the rise because everyone is moving funds there for the fork. However I think any good ICOs coming out will have a lot of new Life coming their way after the Fork.

People are just trying to get Bitcoin into their wallet for the fork coming up. I also think as more investors come along they are becoming more educated and not just buying into any old ICO. Let's not forget what happened with GAW Miners.

If every ICO were a scam then things like Litecoin, Doge and Ethereum wouldn't exist. Now that does not mean you should go and invest in just any ICO. I would do your research. I followed quite a few before I started investing. The problem is they usually make promises to what they will do after their ICO. I try to find ones doing something prior to their ICO as this usually establishes credibility IMO.

Re: Mining on Mobile Phone

I have been keeping my eyes out for mobile mining cryptos. Unfortunately a lot of ICOs are not offering it. I saw that Electroneum promises it but they have yet to deliver or follow through.

I am not sure sure they are actually mining the node either. From what it appears the devs can limit what you make to a certain amount. I do not think phones are actually mining and is just a disguise to giving away coins.

Re: What are the best altcoin to hold for long term and why?

Holding AltCoins long term has always been hard for me. I tend to sell when I 10x or 25x my original investment. I recently did this with Waves and hoping to do the same with Electroneum and Collector Coin.

Was happy enough to invest in them at the ICO! I did end up selling all of what I had invested but not until after I had 10x my money!
