IF the miner is connected to the internet and mining, you are online. My educated guess is that you fucked up your VPN config. It's also highly likely that your pool info isn't valid. That's why the miner isn't working in your other tries.
Do us a favor and
0) Reflash with the factory image
1) actually read the manual
2) connect to the Apollo via ethernet
3) configure the mining pool settings
4) wait for the miner to start mining
5) OPTIONAL: Start tinkering with the device once everything works.
6) Check if the node sync works
I did a bunch of things, like install a VPN and a system monitor and also clicked on 'Software Update' which downloaded and installed about 250MB of updates. Now it is running Armbian 22.08.4 Focal.
Not sure if installing the 250 MB was the best idea. A shitload of things could be installed now that interfere with the miner.You also didn't mention what settings (mode, fan settings) you are running the miner with.

Adapter file would be appreciated! As others suggested, you can upload on Thingiverse or Printables. If you get enough downloads on the latter page, you will get free filament, too.

Fyi, now with 1 merit you can become Jr. Member and post images. Just the typo is preventing your image to show up. I can see that ttyACM0 IS NOT there. All I get is this short message in dmesg after plugging it in:

Again, do verify that power connectors to the board (2x 6-pin) and USB are all good. There were users in the past with (semi-)broken-off microUSB connectors.
I believe there's no flimsier connector than microUSB; its surface-mounted nature means it is fairly easy to rip.
The tty device isn't there either. I created a few close-ups of the board and connectors. Something that seems to stand out vs the full node Apollo is the blinking VD5+ led here:
Everything else looks fine imho.

Figure out whether it's a problem with the hashboard / standard unit or the controller / full unit.

It's a brand new batch 1 device that I unboxed a few days ago. Setting up a dedicated rpi zero for testing will be the next step that weekend. Hello, now that’s it’s getting cooler outside I’m going to turn the apollos (BTC and LTC) back on. This time I’m thinking of solo mining. Is direct solo mining still planned for BTC? Anyone doing it - is CK pool the best?

I have a brand new batch 1 standard unit that isn't picked up by my full package unit at all. The red front led is blinking and turning solid red after a short while. The standard unit hash board isn't visible in the UI
What I tried already past weekend:

What else can I do to troubleshoot the function of the device on the hardware / software side?
What I tried already past weekend:
- Flashed a new OS image to a new SD card
- tested the sdcard with https://fight-flash-fraud.readthedocs.io/en/latest/usage.html
- Swap USB cables and ports multiple times
- Restart full unit and standard unit in different orders with wait times from minutes to hours in between
- Swap & replace power supply. I tried both devices on one (750W) power supply and both on a separate, dedicated power supply

I was looking to the 2 options for Staking PIVX. a. hold PIVX coins in a Staking wallet or b. run a Masternode where you stake 10K PIVX.
My expectation is that with option A, the staked coins are pooled to a Masternode. I don't see anywhere in the documentation where this configuration mapping a wallet to a masternode occurs. Is this not how the coins in Staked wallets get deployed?
Staking and masternodes are a completely different things. No masternode is deployed automatically, you have to install PIVX on daemon mode on a dedicated system. After that, you can create a masternode config on your local wallet and activate the remote masternode by linking the 10k PIVX transaction in the config file and starting it.My expectation is that with option A, the staked coins are pooled to a Masternode.
