Re: This is not the end of bitcoin
by

on 18/11/2018, 07:04:35 UTC
Recently, I have been seeing a small spike in the number of posts about bitcoin prices. Most of them seem to be out of fear bitcoins end.

But I think bitcoin will survive. Here is why I think so.

First let's take a quick look at the price charts.

Now the prices for BTC is depicted for a day. Seems like BTC is falling fast right?

Now let's look at another image.

Now this is the price chart of BTC for a month. Doesn't look that great does it. I mean the prices were volatile and seem to now be falling.

Lets take a look a the last image.

In this image can you spot the fall that easily?
Not really. It does look highly volatile. But then the prices seems to be stabilizing. The spikes seem to be reducing and there seems to be consistency.
The thing is we have looked at bitcoin up close and that's why we say things like:

Bitcoin prices are falling

Bitcoin down by 20%

Is this the end for Bitcoin

But when we start looking at the bigger picture. We can see that bitcoin has come a long way and the price chart if seen up close might show a trend towards the end. But sometimes the bigger picture needs to be seen. Don't panic bitcoin still has a lot left. It will keep fighting.

If not the price chart. Think about the fact that countries like the US and India have noticed bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and have planned to provide a verdict. I will admit that it has been delayed but the mere fact that the SEC in the US and the Supreme court in India are providing a verdict means bitcoin might just be a step closer to becoming a global currency.
At least it keeps the Hope alive.

This is just my opinion. I would really like to know about yours.
If I am wrong please prove it to me.
I am always happy to learn more.

Your positivity in this forum is greatly appreciated. Surely, bitcoin can still fight but I am not expecting anymore that bitcoin will pump this year. What I can onsetve is that its price will be stable for the next 3 months. To change the price is not caused by the whales but it is caused by the panic sellers.

First of all, the government cannot do that. Because the government doesnt own the bitcoin. But if the government in philippines will ban the bitcoin in here? They will not ban because it will help us to improve the society.

I think we can use bitcoin as a practical currency. Bitcoin is a online currency, it is not a touchable currency. Converting your cryptocurrency to digitial money can be done by your fingertips.

Based on my research, satoshi nakamoto is the one who developed, authored, deployed and created bitcoin. He's the one who is behind the bitcoin project. Satoshi nakamoto is the father of bitcoin in short.

I strongly don't agree that the other coins move faster than bitcoin. First of all, bitcoin is the father of all coins. Bitcoin has been on the top since the start. I am not sure if any coin can beat bitcoin. But im sure that in the end, bitcoin will be in the top always.

For me, i think bitcoin will be very difficult to get because the price will be super expensive. And many cancer people will join the bitcoin. So i guess in the future that bitcoin will be harder to access.

Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand
by
mxyzptlkof6th
on 07/09/2018, 09:03:56 UTC
I think for the beginners it will be very difficult for them and they will spend a lot of time on bitcoin. But first you have to understand what is blockchain and then you have to see the market. So my advice for the newbies is search or read some information the blockchain and understand how bitcoin works.

For me, i think no one is controlling the cryptocurrency market, even the government. Because it is not owned by anyone even the government. The cryptocurrency market is a free market, it never gets price but sometimes it's  called price.

I think why bitcoin is better than banknotes is because bitcoin is more versatile and bitcoin has a futuristic system called blockchain. Being a bitcoin user it is secure, easy to transfer anywhere and anytime. And bitcoin can not be tampered thats why bitcoin is better than bitcoin.

Re: Bitcoin is one and only no matter what
by
mxyzptlkof6th
on 04/09/2018, 03:13:44 UTC
In my books bitcoin is one and only no matter what people say and or how they try to manipulate situation. I KNOW what bitcoin is what it stands for as for rest ... meehhh...
I will take into consideration something else when I can exchange it 1 bitcoin = 1 (something) .... but until that day Bitcoin is the king baby Smiley
I strongly agree that bitcoin is the only one that can hold a very huge value. Regardless of it being the first crypto to become famous, its mere beauty resides within its usability and foundation. Although some say that eth is better, I'll still stick to bitcoin when it comes to long term because the bullrun always happens.

Re: Your investment strategy?

on 03/09/2018, 10:51:57 UTC
Hello all.

The current situation of the market is not so good. I believe that some of you are panic, some are giving up, some holding to die.  Cry

Could you please share with us your current investment strategy so that everybody can learn from your good practices and overcome this tough time?

My advice is to not do any investments if it is still bear season. Just participate in bounties and only invest your efforts and your time. The perfect time to invest on ICOs and many other things associated with cryptocurrency is on the month of October. It is because that is the time where the hype of our society sparks up again.

Re: EDUCATING PEOPLE ABOUT CRYPTOCURRENCY
by
mxyzptlkof6th
on 03/09/2018, 09:42:18 UTC
If you take an assessment, a lot of citizens are not yet informative what is cryptocurrency is....like bitcoin and other altcoins. One proof is that others can be deceived by swindlers because of lack of knowledge regarding crypto currencies. . They invest with the wrong people because of considering in unfounded information and hearsays.
Educating people regarding crypto will not make them to mislead. Educators can teach about crypto inside school especially in economic subject/s because it has a big role nowadays.
As Tom Emmer stated, “ People tend to fear what they don’t know. If people sailing the oceans at the time of Columbus had believed the world is flat, we wouldn’t have had the great discoveries of the New World.”

Yes and that fear should be overcomed in order for ourselves to grow. The reason why crypto is not being educated to the people is because the governments holds the curriculums of their respective nations. But, in my opinion, I think this is better that only a few knows how to invest so that there will be less rich people around the world.

Re: How do you think blockchain can benefit healthcare?
by
mxyzptlkof6th
on 03/09/2018, 00:30:10 UTC
So with blockchain technology growing and adoption coming quickly, we are obviously going to see large industries like healthcare, banking, and law enforcement begin to utilize the strengths of blockchain.

Curious your thoughts on how blockchain could benefit the healthcare industry and why.

A great use case that I can think of right of the bat, is protection of patient data, making it immutable once stored.
What you said is already existing because of many ICOs related to healthcare. Blockchain can also help in the quick process of finding the most suitable doctors for a patient. Lastly, medical prescription data can also be placed on the blockchain so that it will be more efficient because you wont need to go to a hospital.

Re: How can we make people accept bitcoins as a currency?
by
mxyzptlkof6th
on 02/09/2018, 14:12:02 UTC
A lot of scams have caused the fear of theft among people and they are regarding bitcoin and its trading a scam. People seem to be reluctant towards investing in bitcoins. How do we ensure them that bitcoins are not scam but the people are. Undecided

There are no more solution because this problem manifests from their minds. Even if we say that the verdict are the criminals, techincally, bitcoin still played a part in the said scam. To that end, what all we can do is to spread the positive side of bitcoin and keep quiet about its flaws.

Re: Most Crypto investors are Cowards
by
mxyzptlkof6th
on 02/09/2018, 12:58:41 UTC
The answer is just simple, we all are cowards  Smiley. Everyone will like to wake up one day and find out that Btc has reached 50,000. All these people are scared to invest hugely in bitcoin but want to become  Crypto millionaire and Billionaire. You ask them why they are scared and they are like crypto is volatile and so on. This is the time to set the record straight make people realize what they are into. If you are scared then there is no need for you to join this amazing fraternity Smiley.
You know what they say: "no risk, no reward". Most people just want easy money but they don't know that it requires great amount of sacrifice. Only those who bought bitcoin in 6k and still waiting for the next big pump are the ones who will earn the largest this year. To that end, I hope this will be an eye opener to most of the investors and a warning that we should not panic sell.

Re: Is there a disadvantage in the publicity of cryptocurrency?
by
mxyzptlkof6th
on 01/09/2018, 15:16:40 UTC
Cryptocurrency is now an established medium of trade and has been profitable for most of the members of the community. I know that most people have heard of BTC in different avenues of communication may it be in SNS, blogs or even news the only thing that's keeping them from really utilizing crypto is their fear of it. Still, Crypto has been advertised and made known to the public. We all know that advertisement is a necessary method to invite investors. What could be its negative effect to crypto?

The one main source of negativity is the media. The media always tells to the public the drawbacks of bitcoin and never mentions its advantages. In my experience, I'd say that from ages 20 to 50, 90 percent of those do not trust bitcoin and only thinks of it as a scam. To that end, we must be the ones stopping this bad actions so that the reputation of bitcoin will improve.

Re: Are old coins no more profitable
by

on 01/09/2018, 14:28:19 UTC
There is a lot change going on in the coin market cap top 200 this days and I don't know if I'm the only one who's aware of it. Could you believe new (4months-7month ago) listed token/coin claimed much slot in the CMC top #200 list. Are those old project which belong to the spot claimed no more profitable?

Your opinion Smiley
I actually think that this is only the effect of the bear season. There will surely be a huge configuration in the order of the top 200 coins because most of them are proof of works. Needless to say, there might be some other factors which affects the whole market and that includes a decrease in the number of investors and buyers.
