Looking for some help... I've got an ooooold wallet
   $ noblecoind --help
   NobleCoin version v1.0.0.0

It probably goes without saying that when running noblecoind there are zero connections. I see a lot of things have changed, primarily the switch to pos and a bunch of upgrades.
How would I migrate this to the latest wallet? Any help would be appreciated. Just want to keep it alive.

How do you use escrow to purchase the s2? On the website I only see the option for direct deposit and btc.

so is xpm being pool mined/bot mined now

no solo's anymore ?

i'm still soloing on a dual core laptop and a single core vm and I get the occasional block every 1 - 2 weeks. its no much but i dont pay for electricity so it doesnt hurt for me to just keep running it. either way, still able to solo mine on some crappy hardware.

Re: [XPM] Primecoin High Performance Linux Compilation Guide

Here's what I get:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
build-essential is already the newest version.
libssl-dev is already the newest version.
libboost-all-dev is already the newest version.
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libdb++-dev : Depends: libdb5.1++-dev (>= 5.1.25-2~) but it is not going to be
installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

How do I fix this? o.O

libdb++-dev  without a version number assumes version 5.1 but if you're on ubuntu 13.10 , you'll want version 5.3  so just change libdb++-dev to libdb5.3++-dev and you're golden

on the first step, I am getting this :
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libminiupnpc-dev : Depends: libminiupnpc8 (= 1.6-3ubuntu1) but 1.6-precise2 is to be installed

I guess i already have libminiupnpc8 installed but just the wrong version? someone know what i need to do to correct it ?

thanks in advance

The guide is for Ubuntu 13.04

the steps are the same except during the apt-get install ... libdb5.3++-dev  should be changed to libdb5.1++-dev

ive got primecoind running on my 12.04 laptop

Re: [XPM] [FASTER!] Mining PrimeCoin using DigitalOcean (VPS)

so ive got 5 droplets running now. All are 1core/512mb getting about 100-180 pps on each, 3 in SF and two in NY with no discernible performance difference. one of them has been running for about 2 days now, found 1 block, the rest are around 18 hrs and zero blocks.  I also have my own vm running with 1core and getting about the same speeds as the droplets, but in the last day and a half has found 3 blocks.  Strangely my 4 core i7 t420 lenovo getting 500-600 pps has only found 1 block in the last day and a half.  So that 1 core vm is tearing it up for me Smiley

the strangest thing is, ive got an ubuntu vm running on my macbook pro 13 getting around 500-600pps and its found 5 blocks in the last two days, which is awesome except they keep becoming orphans! 4 of the 5 now are orphans, and the 5th is still immature and im afraid its going to be an orphan too. I think there might be an issue with the clock because primecoind is reporting the error "Warning: Please check that your computer's date and time are correct! if your clock is wrong primecoin will now work properly"  . when i first adjusted the clock, the first two blocks i mined became orphans. now the clock is behind again somehow, which is probably why the later two became orphans too. waiting for the last one to mature before messing with the clock.
