Will the net decrease? however this is forking time but i heard that there is already some fpga able to mine this algo.
I have been tired of mining ethash from the beginning. I hope this algo will be better. As usual it will be more profitable the altcoins forked from this algo for little miners. i never unserstood the people that continued to mine ethereum also if it is not profitable . you are losing money. the net is safe . so why continue to mine.
Good question.
Maybe I can post some comparison about ProgPoW and Constantinople but I wouldn't do it to avoid confusion.
Instead I recommend you to spend your time researching about the effect of Constantinople Hardfork and ProgPoW algorithm, issuance reduction on Ethereum , etc.
Note that ethereum is paying a lot of inflation toward miners, if this discontinues, it will effect other GPU mineable cryptocurrencies in a bad way so there is no way going out from this.

I've found out this would be helpful for AMD card detection problem.
Yes I will update my miner to support ProgPow when ETH will be ready to switch to it.
Will you still support ProgPoW for your miner if Ethereum Foundation doesn't accept switching to ProgPoW and therefore some new Ethereum Hardfork coin launch with ProgPoW switch?

Is there any coin that can currently mining with this software for real profits (which is not experimental)?
Bitcoin Interest is using progpow for mainet, check any calculators online for profit.
Progminer wouldn't work for Bitcoin Interest since they use their own version of ProgPoW, we are based on the latest specification of ProgPoW ( v0.9.2 )
