post your prediction now!!!

Please vote for your prediction range @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3167130.0/

Kung bababa sa 8k $?
Hmm..
As the chart say, Yes.

The Philippines’ Coinvil

While Coinbit, Jibex, and Kenniex have already launched, this next exchange has not. South Korean blockchain technology and services company Glosfer and Coinvil have agreed to collaborate to build and launch a cryptocurrency exchange in the Philippines. Glosfer will build the platform while Coinvil will operate the exchange. Coinvil CEO Park Rae-hyun commented:

"The Philippines will become the largest cryptocurrency trading market that connects Europe and Asia."

Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency?
by

on 02/04/2018, 14:14:27 UTC

Seems many people treat bitcoin like an asset given how much it's gone up over the last year or so. But some academics disagree with that assessment. If it is to be treated as a currency, it will need to stabilize to be of use.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/24/nyus-dean-of-valuation-says-bitcoin-is-a-currency.html

I considered it as an investment or an asset rather than currency.

Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children.
by

on 14/03/2018, 18:13:05 UTC
Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh

I don't have a child yet, but I am saving a quarter of each profit I got and put it into another wallet where I wrote the password username and email address and email's password onto back of my portrait picture with a note "Your fortune is here" and I told to my mom in case I die without having a child or I died first. Yeah I know it is kinda weird and very futuristic but I am just making sure I won't regret things if I end up with no money in my pocket and leaving my family/child helpless and no foods in his stomach.

Re: Do you think twice before paying with Bitcoin?

I found it kinda hard to pay with BTC few times. Because the volatility so high, many times I 'm feeling FOMO and I actually use fiat instead.
Does it happend to anyone else here?

Same here, I also felt the same when I'm paying using BTC, like paying it now then tomorrow btc price went high. I would regret a lot for paying btc.

Re: BTC Mining vs Buying
by

on 12/03/2018, 18:34:54 UTC
Is it better to get BTC via mining or buying now?

It was no longer profitable early this year for mining. However, with the recent price surge, does mining becomes profitable now?

If yes, any suggestion? There are quite many cloud miner in the market.

Thanks.

I prefer buying bitcoin rather mining it due to its difficulty to mine and you need atleast 6-8 months before you could recover your initial investment. Buying bitcoin then start trading right away if you already knew how btc and trading works.

Re: Government's corruption using Coins

I was just wondering, what if Government officials will store their money from corruption in the Cryptos? What if they'll invest all their money in bitcoin so that no one will know about that corrupted money? Will it be possible? Is it really safe for them to use the virtual currencies a store house of their evil money? Because rather than having bank accounts, putting it on a wallet or investing all of it on cryptos will be safer. I want to hear your opinion.

Hmm.. Yeah? I think they will invest or put it in a wallet so no court or government can trace if this person have cryptocurrency, because it is decentralized.

china is one of the powerful country in this world.they are in a high position in economy.and also china is well developed country.but they still don't like bitcoin revolution.what is the main reason for that?

Because they want to pirate(copy) Btc and make their own style(crypto). We all know china like copying things and pretend that it is their own idea like what they did with Apple Technology Company.

Our country just recently held a seminar introducing bitcoin in our country. The said seminar were facilitated
by bitcoin experts and government officials in pursuit of using bitcoin as another form of payment and regulation of it as well.

http://www.wheninmanila.com/5-things-i-learned-about-bitcoin-and-cryptocurrency/

This is a big news to know but I hope Philippine media will not spread bad news about bitcoin such as it is the medium of terorist, drugs or so. Philippine media are bias they don't want the Pinoys to see great things like this, they usually spread negative news and their basis is "No one wants good news".

Re: What do you want to Buy with Bitcoin?

on 05/03/2018, 14:29:31 UTC
Reading a lot of New Year Resolutions, and I can understand many of you here have some resolutions that involve crypto and bitcoin. Maybe you want to earn a bitcoin, multiply your  bitcoins or become a crypto millionaire.

So here is one similar question that does not necessarily has to be achieved in this year.

What are the things you want to buy with bitcoin?
Whether its a House, your favorite car, a yacht, a jet or a ticket to Mars. Whatever you dream, list the things you want to buy with your bitcoins (crypto).

Firstly, I want to buy more AntMiner to multiply my profit. When I have greater profit I would like to buy a battleship and live like a boss.

Re: Criminality and Bitcoin

https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

Let say BTC played a role in criminality but is it the only reason or factor why it's getting worse? Lets remove BTC on the picture, does UK metropolitan Police doing their job properly? If the population is growing the crime rate also grow.  I think instead of looking at the bad side of the picture (cryptocurrency) look at the brighter side of it.

Re: Do We Need Social Media Promotion
by
nandamo
on 05/03/2018, 13:49:17 UTC
Does Bitcoin Need The Social Media's Help To Promote Itself?

Well, Bitcoin needs all the help that we can get. With its current situation, Bitcoin Foundation is just thinking out of the box to help Bitcoin recover and might even succeed.

With the help of Social Media, bitcoin can attract new and young users. Learn about bitcoin and eventually adopt it.

Maybe this is the first step of mass adoption.

What do you think?

Yes, we need Social Media Promotion to neutralize or to balance all the negative information given by Media, saying, BTC is illegal and the real reason are to be used in buying illegal things such as guns, drugs and for money laundering.
With the social media, even commoners like us can share information and view information.

Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin!
by

on 02/03/2018, 17:47:13 UTC
Check out my YouTube video where I dive more in depth : BREAKING NEWS KFC is now accepting Bitcoin, and Smart contracts might be legally binding!

Is this just a bucket of chicken, or a bucket of publicity stunts?

You will be able to buy a bucket of chicken in Select Canada KFC's. However you will have to order it online using Bitpay, and have it shipped to you.

Cost : Around $20 + $5 shipping + Taxes + Any other blockchain fees

What do you guys think about it?

This is a marketing scheme, I rather use our country currency than using BTC for ordering these.

I love the concept of Bitcoin. I believe the Internet will redefine currency as we know it.  I hope this helps the Bitcoin community to develop a currency that's really resilient to attacks.

But, is it possible?

I guess not, due to highly develop and still growing Blockchain (btc) Technology, Btc is secure. Though exchange are attacked yet didn't affect BTC.

Re: Your cryptocurrency biggest regret?
by
nandamo
on 28/02/2018, 19:59:24 UTC
Hi guys ano-ano mga regrets or mga bagay na pin angina yang an nyo Simula hung nagstart kayo maginvest or maging cryptocurrency enthusiasts?

Ako I'm a gamer since high school, sobrang attached na ko sa computer gaming and online earning.

And Napa participate na din ako sa airdrop which I hope someday worth a fortune in the future he he.

Re: Bitcoin to Game Developers

How do you think can bitcoin affect the companies/developers who manages online games if they want to be part of this? Will it be alright if they  use this as part of their payment option on the game even if the rate of Bitcoin isn't stable?

I think they don't want to be part of this due to lots of controversy and unstable value of BTC that could put their company at risk. Though, they also might earn bigger profit from BTC.

Re: Bitcoin Mining , Is it worth it?
by

on 28/02/2018, 19:34:19 UTC
Hello guys, I have a friend who told me about BITCOIN MINING.

What do you think? Is it worth it ? Buying Hardwares / Mining Rigs and plus the TIME to be consume.
I'm not even familiar with it , so I'm probably asking for advice on for those old miners.

Electricity here in PH is so expensive. Do you have some tips and tricks?

Thanks in advance guys !  Wink

In the PH (NCR), electricity cost around 0.19$ per KWh plus the difficulty of BTC so you are losing money than earning if you mine BTC.
I know you are a filipino too, I highly suggest to look for the filipino inventor who invent (recently) a self-efficient electricity generator which produce 1000W.
