Always down before up we are not going to new ATH until $600 is tested and can prove to be a new floor. Until the $450 will always be in the back of the markets mind from the crash last month. Look at the charts, post bubble pop, dosnt matter what pop bitcoin when through. Look what happens after the pop to find your answer.
No way, wait for a very good news and you see the price break up if we go down it will be on the 31st, how much I don't know but $600 is a bit pessimistic imho

None of them should be added really but I voted for WDC, it was a super instamine but at least these guys are now putting their face forward and do some FIAT business. Not sure the hype is here to last tho

Yes a paper wallet, as the name says itself, it's a paper with the private key written down on it. You can print fancy paper wallet from i.e. bitaddress.org and encrypt the key with bit38 to add an extra layer of protection.
i'm getting reaaaaaaaally tired of saying this but bad news doesn't 'force in a downtrend'. that's simply not how price behavior works.
so you think News like
Quote
FBI will sell BTC of the SR Raid
or
Quote
USA will shutdown BTC Exchanges
won`t affect Prices? Not really,or?
i never said it doesn't affect prices. i said it doesn't "force in a downtrend".
first option: it does, because the market cannot absorb it, the rest will panic sell
second option: it does, my estimate is beyond $1...

It's not really difficult to create this kind of app, it's all about scanning the blockchain and update the balances but then how do you group addresses hold by the same person/company?

Re: Taobao (China's version of Ebay) bans bitcoin mining hardware
Does anyone qualified know whether the "Bitcoin mining" ban refers to Taobao only or whether it is an order from the PBOC to the whole of China?
I looked at it in Google Translate yesterday, but it looked unclear to me. It would surprise me if they really banned Bitcoin mining nationally.
Blitz , I wondered for one month , why the hell we have a Chinese subforum when we can't get any accurate translation or news of what is happening there. After the first announce in early December it took almost a week to get a poorly translated text which didn't clear anything.
This, exactly this! Any news coming from China stays in the uncertainty limbo for a while until somebody on the west decide to look it up Sometimes I wonder if all this China craziness is completely made up, seriously how is it possible??

Re: When is it better to solo mine than to be in a pool?
250kh/s is really low nowadays, difficulty wise it should be of an almost dead coin. Mine on a pool, do you have any concern?
I was wondering since I decided to try solo mining a coin with 25 MH/s net hash rate and I appeared to be doing better than in a pool.
Leave it for a day and see how many coins you get and compare it with the pool. It's all about luck, you might find many blocks in an hour and nothing for a few hours and this is where the pool helps to normalize payments

Re: If tax calculators are to believed, staying in the UK means getting robbed
All things considered UK is actually not that bad in comparison with other nations.
ROFLMAO. You get persecuted for having screwdriver in your pocket while criminals use pistols. There is higher rate of some criminal offenses in London than in Cape Town. And yet they keep robbing you saying how much they take care of you and how they are ensuring your safety. Sure, not bad
Right, I guess I can find the same job in Cape Town and get paid the same NET amount right? So easy to throw shit and use stupid cases to justify your opinion.
Best time to buy is at the bottom when the shit hits the fan. Nothing beats having your position secured with a 25% profit an hour after you buy.
And how do you know if you just clean your face and the fan turns around at your direction AGAIN? Aaah it's so easy to talk hindsight :-)

Or you can ignore short term bubbles and crashes and invest long term, maybe for a couple 2/3 of years. Agree with post above, it's all up to you and how much you can lose! good luck :-)
I usually invest when BTC crashes and gets down to $500.
Yes, that is the correct way. 500 would change, though, I think we are already past that, so the only question that you need to answer to profit from BTC speculation - is when the "crash" is over.
You can't really predict the bottom (Unless you used the empirical rule: bottom is 2*previous_ATH) But I agree with you, maybe $6-700 was an easy entry point
