Hi Tytanick, thanks for keep updating this awesome OS.

About the poll I think I need to vote too many features Tongue

IMHO its very needed:

- OC profiles
- Any kind of tweak to update miners fasters. Its a bit annoying every claymore update, or just adding new coin miner write command line it if from 0.
- Public IP info
- Identifying GPUs position in motherboard slot <--- This is an awesome idea. When you got a lot of rigs and are trying to repair one riser in the middle of the hell of all rigs heat, this would help a lot.

regards

Hi, Im getting this error since day 19, I tried a lot of possibles solutions but I cant fix it. Also Im trying to fix it with devs of simplemining and they cant fix it neither. Could be a claymore bug?

OFC I tried to reinstall simplemining, low OC/UV etc without luck

Thanks!

If you're not getting answers email admin@simplemining.net.  You'll probably get a quicker response.

Hi ne0x86
Please do so, please email me at admin@simplemining.net and please ask that me "Tytus" should be assigned to your problem.
I will take a look at this.
Please write in email also those:
what rigs have this ? all right ?
Please tell me miner name and options that are you using when you have this problem.
But please email all those informations to email and not here Smiley

Hi, first thx for your fast support. Yesterday I sent one email but you can ignore, because now I just send one updated with more info. On subject I wrote "Tytus" like U said me.

Thx again

Please HELP. Previusly I wrote a post asking for help, I tried a lot of things with no luck, now I will explain all details. This is getting me crazy.

I have 24 rigs. All working fine until last friday. All rigs are working fine but suddenly appears this on SM dashboard:

https://i.imgur.com/Pwdw1rK.jpg

When I check console appears this:

https://i.imgur.com/C0ZgjZA.jpg

or  this:

https://i.imgur.com/oai9ALG.jpg

And it stucks here untill reboot. If I set -minspeed on claymore, itself usually reboots, or sometimes freezes my rig and I need to reboot manually from power. It happens every 40 mins aprox. and totally random, sometimes rig1, rig 6, rig10 etc...

So same rigs, 1 week ago I had 0 reboots on 2 weeks, they were running perfect! but now, I got 10 reboots every night.

Things I tried with NO LUCK:

- Format all pendrives and created from 0 with etcher.
- Change pendrives for SSD.
- I tried 2 SM images: 15.2 & 16v kernel.
- Turn off 16 rigs and leave only 8 rigs running to check router is able to handle all rigs.
- Reboot, and restore factory defaults of my router.

All rigs (less 2) are running same mobo (gigabyte h110 D3a) and 2 rigs are running asrock btc pro. Error happens on both mobos.

PLEASE Tyanick, take a look, this error is getting me crazy, cant run my farm well and I dont know what can it be and seems to be a kind of bug of SM.

If you need some info, test or whatever, please, tell me.

All help are so much apreciated. Thanks

If undervolt is not working you should use offsets custom bios.

Re: [DIY] auto-hard-reset mining rigs with Raspberry Pi

I've made a remote power rig manager, so i can send commands to my pi, that send command to my relay and the magic happens
I can press the power button for soft On/Off, i can pres the reset so the machine shut off and turn on again, or i can press Hard button, for a hard reset if the machine is stuck( it ill hold power for 6 seconds, wait 10 seconds, and them start the machine again

the design is pretty bad , but it works

Hi,

Since few updates I saw data on  field "miner program started" doesnt match with real data. For example, one rig has a reboot, appears (1) in status, but miner program started still stuck on few days ago.

Hi, yesterday I build some new rigs and firsts boots of simplemining (afterupdates ofc) screen stays on check simplemining conection for a long time and after that it starts very very slow to start miner and show text lines on screen. After some reboots didnt happened more, but is very weird, and I asked some friends and they said sometimes happens to them too.

WAN connection is not the problem. anyone happens the same? Thanks

I have exactly the same issue @tytanick any plans of fixing this?
I have also exactly the same issue.

And this is the reason that I am changing my AMD rigs from SimpleMining to Windows.

Same. if undervolt worked correctly I'd love SMos for my amd rigs but windows it is for now!

for uv bios with -100mv offset, mp me.

Hi, any way to save logs on claymore (for example)

I get some many reboots on 2 rigs and for sure riser is the problem, but I cant see log and know wich gpu fails.

I saw -dgb and -logfile commands, anyone tried it?

Thanks and thanks tytanick to your hard work for more frequency updates on SM, this is what SM needs for a long time ago.

Great job!

@tytanick on your roadmap exist the possibility to add different custom oc/uv profiles? Now is very annoying when you got some rigs and wanna change algo.

Thanks!

Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform
by

on 30/01/2018, 09:36:35 UTC
Hi, a simple question.

If I got some rigs and I make usb with hive os. How I can setup rigID + password without connecting a monitor? I think join via SSH and editing a config file, but I dont know IP, and for sure there are easier way.

Thanks a lot.

You can create a file call rig.conf including (ID / Password set for the RIG / Wallet)
Then after create USB key put the file on the root of the HiveOS partition on the usb key

Rig.conf example:

#URL where hive server is
HIVE_HOST_URL="https://hiveos.farm"

#Id of the rig, numeric value from admin panel
RIG_ID=The-ID-of-rig

#Rig passord as in admin panel
RIG_PASSWD="the-rig-password"

#Rig hostname and worker name for pool
WORKER_NAME="name-of-rig"

#Selected miner
MINER=""
MINER2=""

#Wallet
WALLET="wallet-assigne-to-the-rig"

#Watchdog
WD_ENABLED=

-----------------------------

Plug the usb key and boot.

But I can access to this partition from windows?
