Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - thousands of rigs available!

Yes, but it is still in testing phase and I'm not in a hurry to release.  My programming skills are minimal compared to many software gurus here so my method is most likely not a good approach but its good enough for me.  I'm simply using shell script and Qt to work with JSON data.

would you be willing to share any of your code? I'm using pycurl but I dont know much about ssl, so the certificate issues are giving me a headache

has anyone had any luck with using the api? I'm trying to use it with python but keep getting SSL errors, and cloudflare 403 errors when trying to access the data or change my rig prices

It does not work with the CGWatcher-1.4.0.1 Any idea why?
CGWatcher write
Quote
exception: additional text encountered after finished reading JSON content: ,. Patch ", line 30, position 2.
I tested using http://json.parser.online.fr/ And there are no errors

cgwatcher does like the use of "profiles", so everything after your pools you should put into a separate file and then "include" that file into the pools config file

all of my bin files are being created inside my cgminermonitor folder (instead of my sgminer folder). Is this normal? Or is there a way to have them only create in the sgminer folder instead?

is it possible to integrate the lasybear x11 and x13 builds of sgminer:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623409.0

id love to jump on the multi algo mining train, but the traditional x11/13 miner builds have been much slower than the lasybear option

I jumped on this coin about 12 hours on dedicated pool, with about 6mh/s. over that time, ive only pulled in 1 FRAC (.5 confirmed, .5 unconfirmed) which seems kinda low for getting in on a new coin this early. is this normal or have I just screwed up some settings somewhere?

ive been mining on the proxypool and I seem to be getting more mon than vtc. is this normal? I figured it should be the other way around given the relative low difficulty of mon right now compared to vtc

my miner reports ~1.3mh/s but suchpool only reports ~650kh/s

is there a reason for the difference? or are my miners not set up properly?

example
same rig /2x7970/ :
vert /cgminer or vertminer/ 520 kHash = 500W
hiro /sgminer -darkcoin alg/ 3,6 - 4Khash = 310W

hiro wins
I have plugged rig into digitally Wattmeter, scrypt takes 580W +

sure. I wouldnt dispute the power efficiency compared to scryptN coins, but more about the actual value of the coin itself given vert is seeming to be the first point of migration for gpu miners due to its popularity

would hiro be worth mining over something like vertcoin? people are starting to consider moving away from scrypt because of the asic market and it seems their first stop is vertcoin just because of how well known it is.

thoughts on vertcoin and hiro long term?

does anyone have thoughts on mining a scrypt N coin like vertcoin vs. mining a X11 coin like hirocoin? X11 claims to even out the playing field moreso than N factor coins, because once the N increases, even normal GPUs will be negatively affected by that

in terms of the influx of asics now and in the near future, what is the difference between vertcoin and an X11 coin like Hirocoin? I know this is a vertcoin thread, but what is the reason behind supporting vertcoin over hirocoin?

I have no idea if this is even related, but its strange given that I see these threads pop up now and I saw a similar issue when I woke up this morning

Im currently mining at coinshift and about 6 hours ago all of my hashrate disappeared from the pool stat page but my 2 rigs were still hashing away like normal. This happened until I woke up and restarted cgminer - everything seems normal now.

The really weird thing, and again, Im not suggesting anything but just telling what Ive observed, my hashrate at ghash went UP. I mined with these guys during their 2x week and havent touched them since. This is weird because on both of my machines ghash (LTC) is at the bottom of my failover pool list and I imagine it would be highly unlikely that there was 0 response from any of my 5-6 pools that were higher up in the list. Maybe its just a weird coincidence but its strange that id be hashing at ghash, on 2 rigs, without having touched the pool in a number of days

If it helps anyone, I'm running windows 7 with sgminer, and my other rig is running SMOS (bee edition) with cgminer-kalroth. I have no other monitoring software besides what smos offers, and the smos machine has nothing else installed on it. Since the day it was put together I haven't installed anything new on to it.

The only thing I have running on my smartphone is the Mining Pool Status app, but I only just got that and haven't added any pools to it yet.

Another quick thing, since I'm sure there are people out there scraping our stats page for it (our heaviest page to load of course):

http://wafflepool.com/stats_api
Index is # days ago.  So first index (0) is "today", 1 is yesterday, etc.

is there api access to the pools current profitability anywhere? i.e. BTC/MH/day at the current moment?

for my own personal use im interested in a few things:
1. the ability to provide api with a certain daily hashrate and power consumption, then have it return:
2. Revenue BTC for all coins (at a hashrate of 1MH)
3. will there be a limit to the number of api requests made per day? at the very least I would like to be able to call the api every hour, but higher resolution is always good

any chance you could add other exchanges on there? for example, bitfinex and cavirtex?
