Why do people need to pay for porn in this day & age. It's 2015 not the mid 90's or early 00's. All you have to do is search on google for free porn. Unless people want some sort of specific porn that has to be paid for, I don't know, I'm not exactly an expert.
You pay for premium or exclusive content, or higher quality videos. You also pay so you can download them. If you want to watch porn in HD or 4K, you can't get it for free. Legally anyway.
In my opinion not many people are going to pay for something you can get free online. Some escort agencies (hookers) accept bitcoin now though, now that kind of service you can't get for free so people will be willing to pay for that, the anonymity would be perfect.
100% agree here. Bitcoin is perfect for escort services, both for the hookers and for the guys hiring them. Guys cheating on their significant others would significantly lower the chances of being caught because of the anonymity.
As well, banks aren't too happy to deal with people in this business so not only would the escorts save on fees but it would be less likely the banks would catch on to what they do for a living.
Don't forget that the porn industry is part of the reason why we have VHS and BluRay instead Betamax and HD-DVD. The porn industry is often the trend setter when it comes to emerging technologies becoming prevalent.
I agree. I think the porn industry saw the potential in Bitcoin before it had become as mainstream as it is today.
i think somebody who is already using a porn website that they like, should send them an Email with this suggestion. they should explain to them the advantages of accepting bitcoin and tells them about how they can do that. this way we might see them start accepting bitcoin as payment
Porn websites already know about the advantages of bitcoin. The advantages mean nothing if people aren't spending their bitcoins on the sites.
Porn websites are much more smarter and tech advanced then we believe and people have started using bitcoin on the porn websites and they would attract their customers by showing some promos that makes the customers to spend more and more bitcoins on the websites.
That's a good thought. Incentives to use bitcoins would entice people to buy and use them on the websites. Because right now, other than anonymity, what other benefits are there to a customer going through the trouble of buying bitcoin to spend on the website when other easier options are already available?
Demand is the big thing.
Back when the silk road was around there was millions of dollars of bitcoin going through there and driving the price up.
Silk road was abolished and a lot of the demand for BTC went with it and the price slowly went down since then.
I'm not saying Silk Road was 100% responsible, but it certainly played a big part.

This might look like a big list, but let's not forget the sites on this list are owned by the same big company. So from the dozens of really big porn company's, there are only a handfull that have implemented a payment gateway that allows bitcoin or altcoin payments...
Aside from this list other big players in the industry have opened up to BTC/altcoins as well. I think the bigger problem here is people using the cryptos - it's still a bit of a process to get bitcoin before you can spend it and even then it's just easier to use a credit card direct on the site. I see you can use Paypal on a number of adult sites now too.
I think its more about getting people to use cryptos, other players in the industry will open up to it quicker when they see it is being used more.
Makes sense really, it is the obvious choice. If anybody has had an eye on the altcoin scene over the last year or so there have been coins created specifically aimed at the porn industry, some of these more obvious than others. We had Tittiecoin, Sexcoin and so on, I don't think there was ever an Adultcoin which would make more sense and would probably have more adoption as it is not as in your face as some of the blatent porn named coins.
Right now, there are dozens of porn websites which accept Bitcoins. But as of now there is not a single one, which accepts any of these shitcoins. Many of the coins which you had mentioned, are not even actively traded right now. We don't need a separate coin for porn, another one for online shopping, and yet another one for gambling. Bitcoin can be used everywhere.
Which porn sites accept bitcoin (just out of interest?). Are there any camsites that have adopted it yet? I think they could benefiot greatly from bitcoin.

It's time to sell of my mining gear. I've got 6 Antminer S3+s, 2 Antminer S3s, 6 Ultra 750 Watt PSUs, a 16 port switch, as well as ethernet cables and about 5 antminer switches so you don't have to short the PSUs. I can update on the exact cables and such when I get home later tonight.
I'd like to get $1000 USD plus shipping or thereabouts. Shipping I will only charge exact and we can calculate what it will cost depending on where the items are going. I ship from Canada.
The S3+'s all mined consistently at 500 g/h slightly overclocked, and the S3's consistently mined at around 400 g/h or slightly better with some tweaking. One of the S3+'s ended up with a faulty control board but I have a replacement received from Bitmain but not installed. One of the PSU's is still in the box.
