Re: Most important things to look for in an ICO?
by
neuronchain
on 23/11/2018, 11:35:22 UTC
One good criteria I can recommend is checking if an ICO has already an alpha product they can show you. It's a very good indication that they're not making promises with just raw ideas.

Re: Some ICO is not scam

Great list you got there. Since it's getting hard to determine what's scam or not, it is better to look for a working product first before investing in one as this gives more assurance that they're serious in their goals.

Re: Are you picky with ICOs?
by
neuronchain

Everyone must be selective in choosing where to participate unless you'd just want to do charity to scam ICOs. It's important that you determine whether the project has a good foundation or not. One strong foundation that builds a promising project is a team with great experience and public track records. Another important aspect that you must check is their whitepaper. It must make sense why they must do it in a decentralized way and it's always good if they can show an alpha product.

Re: If an ICO team is anonymous, is it a scam?
by
neuronchain
on 19/11/2018, 05:06:04 UTC
If they're very evasive about giving out their team info then it must be scam because first of all, the team behind the project plays a very important role in the project's success. If they have such a great team then they must be open in sharing info about them.

Re: Guarantee of an ICO

Before investing in one, aside from doing your research, it is always better if an ICO project can show an already working product for added assurance. It's harder to trust these days as scammers are drawn into taking advantage as many investors are now interested in ICOs each day.

Re: Why People Choose Cryptocurrency?
by
neuronchain
on 15/11/2018, 08:36:38 UTC
One reason that people choose it is because of the ease of use. All you need is a smart device, an internet connection and instantly you become your own bank making payments and money transfers. Though cryptocurrency might be good, there are still plenty of rooms of improvement. It's up to the new projects to improve it when it comes to speed, scalability, energy usage and many more.

Re: New Projects

It is true that many ICO projects are emerging each month and the pool of investors that are interested in this kind of opportunity increases as well, which makes it enticing for scammers. Despite that, you'll just need to determine which is promising and has great potential. It is always better if an ICO project can already show a working product as added assurance that they are indeed serious in achieving their goals.

Re: Is investing on ICOs still profitable?
by
neuronchain

Yes but it is important that you check the ICO project carefully first before investing. It is always good if they can show an alpha product already as it can add assurance to investors like yourself. It is also important to check the team behind it if they already have a great experience in this industry already and has proven themselves as they play a great role in the ICOs success.

Re: Too many ICOs
by

You can start looking for good ICOs here in Bitcointalk. You can judge a good ICO with the Announcement post they've made, their whitepaper, and the team behind it. If their whitepaper does make sense and you agree that what their goal is needed then there's a possibility that it is a good project.

An ICO with an already working product gives assurance as well instead of ICO projects that just give promises with a whitepaper.

Checking if an ICO project has already a working product is a good criteria. Most projects only make promises with just a whitepaper and most fail to produce a product. Having a working product you can test is a good indication that what they're aiming is achievable.

Re: Do you think this year will be bad year for ICOS?
by
neuronchain

I can say that it will depend on the ICO itself. Many scam ICOs are released that's why one must always be careful on where to trust. It all comes down to your thorough research. You shouldn't forget to check first the team behind the project and its whitepaper. It would be so much better too if they can show a working product for added assurance of the ICO's success.

Re: Should I invest in BTC, Altcoin, or ICO

ICO can be a good investment as long as you chose the right ones. One important thing that you should consider is checking if the team behind it has a good track record in the industry. Aside from that, one must check if that project can show their minimum viable product versus just making promises with a whitepaper.

That's a great list you got there. I agree with them as they're all very important points in evaluating an ICO. These days, many scam ICOs have emerged with unclear goals, team, and can't show any MVP that's why one must be vigilant before doing any move.

A good sign that a project is great is by checking if they can show an alpha product. Try reviewing NeuronChain though! It has been around since 2016.
