I'm selling.  Doubled my money from purchase this morning.

The price on Mintpal and Cryptsy is going back down steadily.

Doubled your money? lol

Nice exaggeration. Your post history suggests otherwise.

The big pump and dump going on.  Who's going to be left holding the bag?

Never understood why people buy when they see the price rocket up.

This is no pump and dump ...

The market is reacting to another successful test of Darksend.
Are you in or out? Do you really think you can buy lower than
0.001 now that the scammer has sold his takings ...

And now that Darksend is just hours away from going live?

Oh yeah ... while I'm at it ... another question.

Which coin, in the top 25 has more potential than DRK?

In the near and long term?

Pump and Dump my ass.

I suggest learning how to clone the git repository and compile it ...

I think I would rather just be lazy, and take a precompiled version
with the bits and pieces. Learning Linux is not a high priority for me.

I'm a Windows guy, but I just love the idea of a USB stick OS. lol

ozkraut - I would still love it if you could zip the source / binaries
so I can run it out of a separate folder. That would be awesome!

I can get you a zipped version with source / binaries you can run out of a separate folder from the standard sgminer on BAMT eg it the won't mess with any other configs you may have. But you then have to execute from the command line. BAMT stop / start won't work then.  Just let me know and I shall zip the thing and upload it to Mega mining and post the link here

That would be awesome!

I don't mind so much about manually starting the process.

My system is pretty stable, so that would save me a lot of reading Smiley

I think it's a good step towards mining DRK under BAMT, and I can
continue to learn from there. Thanks so much for your help!

I really do appreciate that Smiley

Just about to buy another 1,000 DRK.

This coin has so much more potential than the other scrypt coins.

Thanks for that Smiley

Unfortunately, I am a true noob ... and I have no idea how to download/install/compile that under BAMT.

I think I may just have to take the time to install Windows again, and use that version.

I wish someone would create a BAMT installation for DRK, like the Vertcoin guys did Smiley

Hi guys,
Can anyone point me to a DRK mining guide for Bamt?

I recently installed this Vertminer BAMT installation:
http://www.reddit.com/r/VertcoinMining/comments/1ylpku/new_rbamt_and_v152_release_can_now_swap_between/

And I've managed to get sgminer to work great on Windows,
but I'm not sure how to get the DRK sgminer to work in BAMT.

Does anyone have a BAMT installation that is ready to mine DRK?

One of the biggest advantages of mining DRK, is the lower temps.
This is a very real benefit. I'm hoping to start mining under BAMT.

Thanks for your help Smiley

Darkcoin is now the 11th highest volume coin traded:
http://coinmarketcap.com/volume.html#drk

Not bad, considering the size of the exchanges!

We have also moved into 19th place, overall for marketcap:
http://coinmarketcap.com

Almost 4 million now ... and doubling every few days Smiley

Test tomorrow ... expect the coin price to triple this month Smiley

Where did you hear there is another test tomorrow?

The developer said so, in a forum thread a few pages back, and I noticed people talking about it in the shoutbox on C-Cex

hi!
how much darkcoin i mine for day with 550kh/s? (pool mining)

About 5 DRK per day, at current difficulty.

Your GPU that normally hashes scrypt at 550 KH/s, will actually hash at around 1,500 KH/s for this algorithm.

You can then check here:
https://www2.coinmine.pl/drk/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

And compare to other people. In your case, you would get around 1,500 KH/s.

I believe that is about correct.

In all seriousness, darkcoin needs to get all its features implemented by march or its good as toast.

As good as toast? Is that good, or bad? I love toast ...

There is no rush to perfect this coin. It is quite new.

Bitcoin, Litecoin, Doge, Vert ... blah blah blah.

They won't be able to fork, and implement anonymity anytime soon.
Darkcoin has a lot going for it, and it's not even on a major exchange.

Test tomorrow ... expect the coin price to triple this month Smiley

why should they dump it? it turns out to work the will be more value and more miners i think

The dump was orchestrated by a single buyer, who sold
NONE of his own coins. Not a single one. He just dropped
8000 at 0.00179 ...

Noobs panicked and sold low - straight to him ...

And then he disappeared.

Anyone selling below 0.0022 is very foolish.

You are selling to the 8k wall owner. As soon as his wall
is threatened, he will pull it ...

In the mean time, he got all your coins cheap! lolol

Anyone running on a Gigabyte 7970?

Config and hashrate?

I am running two Gigabyte 7970s in a normal computer case,
with the side removed. I have a box fan pointing at my cards
and I am getting around 2 MH/s per card for a total of around
4 MH/s together.

This seems super high, in relation to normal Scrypt coins,
but of course ... DRK is no "normal" coin ...

This is my SGminer configuration:

Quote
color 06

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 200

setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

timeout 10

sgminer.exe --kernel darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://drk.coinmine.pl:6090 -u username.here -p password -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --shaders 2048

The two cards run around 20 degrees celsius cooler than
normal scrypt coin mining. This is absolutely amazing ...

I don't know if mining DRK is as profitable, as other coins
anymore - however, I can't imagine the price going down.

If anything, I think DRK has a lot more potential to explode
upwards in price, compared to other coins like Vert, Doge etc.

Once it hits larger exchanges, it may sky rocket - especially
if the new tests work out well. This is everything Litecoin was
supposed to be ... and everything Vert/Panda wish they were Smiley

https://poloniex.com
is down Huh?…>>>

Trading 500k doge for ?? dark? Pm me plz. Will use "coin-swap" and I will pay fees.

Why don't you simply sell your Doge at the best exchange,
grab the BTC, send it to Poloniex/C-Cex and then start buying?

I can't imagine anyone giving you a good deal by swapping out for Doge.

That sounds risky, and I suppose you want a great rate as well?

Better off playing the exchange game, and finding some clown
who wants to panic sell, because he didn't triple his money in
five hours. The longer you wait, the more you will pay ...
