It seems to be difficult to investigate about that without outright asking, as all Doge communities/forums are (of course) dominated by memes. Wink

Discussion on https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoindev/ are good imho (I do moderate that sub).

Here is also a cool alternative to OP_RETURN messages to store data (haven't gave this a try myself yet): https://opreturn.net/p2shdata/

Crazy to think at one time this thread was the central hub for all things Dogecoin. Now its become something of a ghost town, along with most of the forum

That is ture... unfortunately I joined to late (:

If you are into the tech stuff you can try https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoindev/

I do moderate that sub, so I am a bit bias... but this is where I look out for most news or get in touch with the devs (:

Board Mining (Altcoins)
Re: a little help for a new dogecoin miner - with CPU

I'd appreciate some advice on how to actually USE cpuminer, (or is there something else I can use?), also, advice on what's the simplest and best pool to join...I'm a brand new dogecoin miner (potential) and am still learning how it works...

You can't mine meaningful with a PC/server. Your CPU or GPU won't give you a good hash rate on scrypt and you will never exceed the payout threshold on any pool or find a block mining solo.

If you are only here because you want to learn about mining, you can get cpuminer up and running on the testnet like I described here: https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/mtjbpb/solo_merged_mining_doge_and_ltc_local_cpu_and_asic/

Yea SD cards dont like hard shutdowns. Always turn off the miner through the shutdown interface. This will be especially important with the Full Node update coming out soon.

Do you plan to have an API for this? I'd love to schedule a python or anything alike to do the "turn off" and combine it with an electricity timer for my power supply.
