I prefer you go first, as your post count and registration date don't give me much confidence in sending first.

Re: [BETA] SMPAKE.com - we wait, so you don't have to [MTG deposit W 1 confirm]
by

Alright guys, another major-ish update. MagicalTux finished a special bit of api for smpake and new rules were implemented.

1 confirmation deposits are from now on for MtGox verified accounts only.
Unconfirmed accounts will wait 2 confirmations.

There is no loger an option to choose number of desired confirmations, this gets assigned automagically.
Links that have been created so far will remain 1 confirmation links regardless of verification level.

No verified account and need 1 confirmation deposits?
Even if you do not have a verified account there is still a way for you to opt-in for a 1 confirmation link. These are approved on a case by case basis. OTC ratings help a lot.
Best to find me on IRC: irc.freenode.net, #bitcoin-assets, search for kakobrekla.

Also, on this occasion, transaction limit has been raised to 100 BTC.

Just sent you a PM about an issue I found on the site.

Signed up through your link, neat service, dunno how I missed it.

Two cool apps I found on their sidebar that people might miss:

https://github.com/firat/PutioFS - Allows you to mount your storage on Put.io as a Windows readable filesystem.
https://github.com/ybrs/putio-ftp-connector - Access your Put.io storage via FTP.

Cool project Smiley

If you don't release the source for the project, you'll find it'll be hard to convince people to generate addresses that they'll use - it's too hard to prove you aren't sending the private keys to yourself.

Not really, just hook your phone up to your computer, open Eclipse (make sure you have ADT plugins installed) and watch the ADB logs for anything outgoing. But for non-Android developers, I guess. Smiley

What permissions does the app ask for? Sorry, re-read OP, what are the permissions that are "forced" from the APK.

Decompiled his APK, definitely doesn't seem nefarious from first glance, and he's definitely not lying about what permissions the app actually asks for. (Meaning, since it doesn't request network permissions, it can't send your addresses anywhere.) Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

His AndroidManifest.xml file:
Code:

  xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">

Re: Sell 10K twitter followers for 2BTC & facebook likes

Over 9500 out 10000 purchased followers delivered in less than two days. I have no doubt 10K will be hit. Satisfied customer.

Now I need to figure out what can be done with my legions of acolytes....
Thx.  What's that, btw?

Acolytes is a synonym for followers, it usually connotates religious following. Neat service, Facebook doesn't flag mass / abnormal likes in a short period?

Haha, no I'm not upset, and I certainly am not punching kittens.

I was super bored yesterday while waiting for some stuff to compile, so it was a nice break for me. Plus, I figured if you didn't want to pay me for it, whoever is going to end up doing it might be able to use the sample I made as inspiration.

Anyways, cheers and good luck!

Professional Mobile & Web Design/Development Services
by
nhodges
on 25/08/2012, 22:52:21 UTC
Hello,

I am currently accepting new clients for mobile and web design/development work. I have been designing and developing websites and web applications professionally for most of the 21st century, and mobile website and applications for the last five years. I've worked with several users here on the Bitcoin Forum that I'm sure would be happy to recommend me. If you'd like to see my portfolio, please request here or PM me, but ALSO INCLUDE a rough overview of what you want me to do.

My standard rate for consultation is $25-$100 (payable in BTC) per hour, depending on the type of work involved. Also dependent on the type of work you have in mind, I would be happy to provide a lump quote for the entire task.

Is your website broken? No problem.

Have an idea for an awesome new product? I'd love to help you make your dreams come true!

Design Services:
  • Business Cards
  • Logo Design
  • Print Media (Banners, Flyers, etc.)
  • Video Production (Scope Dependent)
  • Website Design

Development Services:
  • Broken Website? We'll Fix That.
  • Databases: MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres, SimpleDB (and more ...)
  • Programing Languages: (Android) Native [Java], PhoneGap [HTML5/JS] (Web) JS/NodeJS, PHP (and more ...)

Thanks,
Nuri Hodges

@Taz, for artists a place like Rugatu is great, because they have the assurance of getting paid for their work, so I recommend you trying it out and you will be amazed with the received feedback and art.

We had our logo made by some awesome artists that signed up with us right away. They realized that making profit for their work just got easier.
Here is the contest of our logo http://www.rugatu.com/questions/452/can-you-pimp-rugatus-logo

Except in this case, the artist is not getting paid for their work, this job is pretty much pro-bono as stated in the last reply by the OP.

Haha, that's brill Jasonlee.

Hey nhodges, your style is great, but I've got a friend offering to do an animated version of it.
I'll go with them as it will be easier to share and he's closer to my typical Irish budget of BTC0.00001
Thanks for the effort you've put in so far, sorry to waste your time mate.

Haha, no problem. Curious to see this animated infographic. Lmk if you change your mind.

Well, I got bored, so I started a rough draft of a style that I think works for this infographic, there's a thumbnail below, the full version is 600dpi @ 8.5" wide, will probably end up 20" tall. Can be scaled down for web publishing or you can use it as is for print. If you dig it, I'll finish the design for 6 BTC.

I'm not trying to be harsh or anything, but IMO you're going to have a hard time finding someone to do it at that price, unless they're willing to do it pro bono already. Your mockup is already worth 1 BTC in time.

Don't know if you find yourself technically savvy, but this could easily be done for free by yourself using Project SIKULI. It uses screenshots you provide and instructions you give it to create automation scripts.

If you don't feel up to it PM me, I might be for the right price lol.

Re: [20 BTC] Professional Personal Website Design
by
nhodges
on 24/08/2012, 04:18:33 UTC
I am looking to develop a personal website for myself.  I am a Ph.D. student who will be looking for academic jobs in the near future.  Therefore I am looking for a "professional" design.

Unfortunately I am not very creative, therefore my attempts have fallen flat.  I am looking for an overall layout, I will be providing the content.  Either clean HTML/CSS or a CMS theme is okay.

The website will have several categories:

  • Hobbies
  • Education
  • Research
  • Teaching
  • Publications

Several of these categories will have sub-categories.

I am not set on a particular layout or color scheme, however I can provide a pictures of myself that should be included.  I am hoping for something with a clean layout.  Besides that, I leave it up to the creative types.

I have allocated 20 BTC for this project.  If you are interested, let me know and we can workout more detailed terms.

Dan

Heya, never heard back from you the other day. LMK if you want to take a look at my portfolio.
