Re: [ANN][QTL] Quatloo, A DarkWaveGravity Scrypt Coin Mandatory UPDATE to v1.2.1

Hi everyone, I have developed an arbitrage trader (Bittrex & Poloniex) based on similar logic of Quatloo trader. I'm busy with the ping pong partion and hope to have this finished soon. It makes some money for me at the moment. There's no UI yet but should be simple to add. The database design are quite rock solid. I may consider a commercial version if there are lots of interest. Let me know your thoughts.

Is the globecrypto network still running? Wallet not refreshing and I noticed the globe.suprnova.cc pool hasn't found a block for 2 days.

Hi everyone, great to see some postings here, especially the developer sphere and pnoch.

I also believe in this coin. The network is healthy, the name is great, etc. I certainly don't believe relaunching the coin and being ASIC resistant will make a difference at all. In fact I believe that marketing this as an ASIC coin can be beneficial! e.g. Don't forget there are lots of 'older' ASIC mining equipment out there which can still be used to mine Globe. I think the key will be to attract those miners. I'm one of them. It doesn't make any sense for me with my older Ant Miners to go and mine something other than Globe.

Look at the POS (Proof of Stake) coins on http://coinmarketcap.com/. ALL of them increase in value? Why? It's worthwhile to hold on to them rather than dumping. Let's see if we can update the current wallet to have this functionality!!! I'm not 'coin technical', so I don't know the implications, e.g. can POS mining with the wallet be done in conjunction with ASICS? If yes, then let's go for it. How much will it cost? Let's talk about cost. I'm always looking for ways I can invest in new ventures.

And I like the name GlobeCrypto. It sounds profressional, unlike the other crappy names out there. It's definitely something that can work.

I couldn't agree with you more! :-) The only issue here though is the 'perception' that the tax isn't used for anything. It's kinda like a catch 22 situation, e.g. the value of GlobeCrypto isn't high enough to use tax in order to further market and improve the currency. That's why the tax hasn't been used so far. What I suggest is as follows:

1) Let's use some of the tax to give away to people on the street, e.g. same way as premined coins are given away as part of pre-launch to attract interest.
2) Let's update the wallet for POS (Proof of Stake) mining. e.g. % interest per year. e.g. this will encourage the community to buy coins and use wallet to earn interest. Also a great way to secure the network. DarkCoin, CryptCoin, Vericoin are good examples of POS mining! Their value are increasing by the day.
3) Once 1 and 2 have been successful and if price rise as a result then Globe will be valuable enough so Sphere can 'afford' to pay people using the tax.

I believe the price of Globe will rise once the 3 points are in place. Let me know if this makes any sense.

STAY AWAY from this coin! It's shit. I mined for 12 hours at http://cx.cryptopools.com. Mining worked ok but NO coins were created or transferred to my wallet. I think there's something wrong with the network.

This coin is going to fail! I have solid information to proof this! 'BenjaminsBaby' launched 2 months ago, with a 10 minute block time and 10 million total coins. Everything started off very well but the difficulty climbed very quickly until all the miners left and stuck with a very slow blockchain. 10 minute block chain is guaranteed failure.

Just following the following thread and see how 'BenjaminsBaby' failed miserably.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=444543.0

On the other hand please continue mining this coin so people like me can mine real coins and mining with a difficulty of less than 20,000. When you realised you've mad a mistake then jump onto the GlobeCrypto band wagon and mine a real coin with potential. http://www.globecrypto.com

I think we should remove Benjamins from Coinwarz and related sites. Some miners get onboard when things going well but don't stay when things are going bad. I think miners should be motived by long term value and usage of the coin, not mining when difficulty is low.

Does that mean all the unconfirmed coins in the current pool will be lost??? If yes, please let me know asap, don't want to waste my time. I can use these 2 miners more wisely then :-)

I followed this thread for the last 3 weeks and would like to help out :-) I've just dedicated my 2 180 GH Antminers to this pool. Let's hope we can get this moving again. I understand one of the Benjamins developers are from Australia? I live in Melbourne, let's catch up for a drink mate, and cheer one up again. Where there's a will there's a way.

Hi,
I've started to mine this coin but will probably stop soon, because I'm not impressed with the fact that the Windows wallet isn't downloadable from www.versioncoin.com website, this simply is lame. Also, I found another link to the wallet and this is even lamer, look at message when I try to sync with network:

Checkpoint is too old. Wait for blockchain to download, or notify developers of this issue.

Absolutely, lets rather adjust the difficulty and perhaps the number of coins instead of merged mining.

Something has to change. I withdrew my 400 Giga Hash miners from BEN - Pity the Pool until the issue has been fixed. Still has 3 Giga Hash at this pool. I really didn't want to do at this stage but someone has to convince me otherwise.
