Re: When the crypt-currency becomes a disease
by
nickmax
on 01/06/2018, 12:52:56 UTC
Would the dependency on crypto-currencies become a real disease? This is what the Castle Craig Hospital in Scotland thinks. Indeed, several patients would be dependent on the trading of virtual currencies . Doctors compare this addiction to gambling dependency. They therefore use the same methods to treat them, thus helping them to take a step back from their behaviour that is not normal.

I think this news is exaggerated. Crypto currency has no relation to gambling. This is just hilarious news for the popularization of some Finnish clinic. I do not think that someone will go there Grin Grin

What so special about ethereum is, that make it so popular to cryptoworld ?

Ethereum was not only the first crypto currency, which provided the opportunity to use its blochein to create new altcoins, but did it very professionally and qualitatively thanks to the brilliant programmer Vitalik Buterin.

Would return Ethereum to 1500 $ ... 15000 $ it certainly is abrupt, but it is unreal in the near future. It is not known how the Casper update will affect the exchange rate and the transition of the miners to Ethereum Classic. Let us hope for the best...

Bitcoin price is constantly dropping for the last several days. What effects are putting it on Altcoins ? Is it bad or good ?

While bitcoin is the number one on the crypto currency market, and unfortunately, usually, if bitcoin falls, then with it almost all the alcoins fall. I hope this situation in the next few years will change and the course of bitcoin will not affect the altcoy so.

Re: The HODL strategy is not actual
by

on 29/05/2018, 13:13:20 UTC
This morning I saw an article where a guy made a simple calculation through Google trends about HODL strategy, and it showed that call to HODL used less and less from February of 2018. Popularity of word Bitcoin and crypto currency is also falling down.
Why it is so? Do not people believe in Bitcoin and it's bright future anymore?
No matter on such tend I am going to HODL my founds till bitcoin will not come back to 20k$ Grin

The fewer people believe in HODL, the more profit will be from those who did not succumb to everyone's opinion and followed their strategy, of course, if you did not buy bitcoin for $ 20,000. The issue of bitcoin is finite and the price will rise in any case.

Re: bitcoin vs world economy
by

Hi everyone

I'm pretty new to all of this and thinking about buying some bitcoin.

I have some concerns about the world economy influence on bitcoin.

For example what if the US decides to put restrictions on bitcoin? will it have a chance to not fall apart completely?

do you think Bitcoin is strong enough at this point to be self-sustaining?

thanks for the help

Now is a good time to buy bitcoin for long-term storage. I do not think that the states will be able to come to a common opinion about the crypto-currency. If they ban in one country, in another country they will be allowed. Bitcoin is gaining great strength and it will not be so easy to win.

Re: Binance! Attention! Be cautious!
by

Binance users are receiving letters with an invitation to test a new application for Windows for a reward of 0.5 BTC, which 'will go to your Binance account. All you need to do is download and enter your data.

This is phishing! Attackers try to get personal data in this way, to access your money. Binance does not distribute 0.5 BTC for testing Windows applications. Be careful!

It's time to remember that no one and never just so much bitcoin or Ethereum does not distribute. Who has been in crypto for a long time, has seen more than one such fraud, and there are always too gullible people, and then everyone is told that crypto-currencies are scam.

Re: Bitcoin Market Manipulation
by

on 28/05/2018, 12:35:06 UTC
If you've been around the cryptosphere, you've probably heard both camps on whether BTC is manipulated. Many say it's the "weak hands", others blame large institutions, while other's say it's all that MT GOX guy doing another dump? What do you think? Is it manipulated? Please include your reasoning on the matter.

The market is still very young and easy to manipulate. I think large investors will not deny themselves such an opportunity. The cost of the whole market at 300-400 kk $ is not that much. Moreover, there is no clear legislation for crypto-currencies.

Some altcoin got 51 percented and now bitcoin is at danger?  Roll Eyes
Nothing has changed, bitcoin has always been vulnerable to it in theory.

I do not think it's real for BTC, show me a man who can buy as much power for an attack of 51%, it's impossible. Bitcoin Gold always has some problems and this is not the last. And why, then I'm not surprised that this is exactly what happened with this coin.

Re: Does bitcoin has any intrinsic value?

on 25/05/2018, 13:05:22 UTC
I am really thoughtful to know that why btc has so much value than other cryptos. Does it has any intrinsic value??
What's your opinion??

Bitcoin has its own intrinsic value due to the huge amount of equipment for mining and spent on the extraction of coins of electricity. In addition, the number of stores that take bitcoin as a payment for their products increases day by day.

just another crash i suppose?  Shocked

It's not a crash, but the next opportunity to buy another bitcoin at a low price before going to the top. The collapse of bitcoin will not happen, because so many people, technicians and shops use it. As well as a large number of large investors, they will not sell to themselves at a loss.

Re: Will bitcoin win?
by

Similar to what Gandhi said
At first, they ignored the Bitcoin, then ridiculed him for "how a digital coin does not have a physical presence" to be a substitute for paper currency and a system called the Blockchain, an alternative not only to the banks but to the entire institutions, then they fought him and tried to cast suspicion in the ranks of those who pursued him To 20 thousand dollars in less than ten years from the way he described the bubble and the closing of the trading platforms and then enter the market and try to control it as it is now.
Now only victory ...

I hope that it will be like that. But I think, crypto-currencies will take their place among other means for payment. And the medium of distribution will be the Internet. You need a more understandable and easy-to-use coin that will not be as volatile as bitcoin or Ethereum.

Re: Why do thousands of investors hold bitcoin on troubled days?
by
nickmax
on 23/05/2018, 13:53:27 UTC

The goal of many traders is to increase the amount of bitcoin in their wallet, because to save funds, most use bitcoin, and do not withdraw to Fiat, because they do not want to pay extra taxes.

Re: why more red days than green days
by
nickmax
on 22/05/2018, 13:06:10 UTC
Two days greenery then suddenly 4 days red. I think this happened due to money makers. Most are coming to money making from fluctuation. Because of this fud or any bad news there , these people get panic and selling their portfolios so the  whole market crash.

But people like us , invest to the technology. What ever the thing has happen , we think that this has good future. so we keep our coins for long time.

This is my opinion. Why more red days and few green days

The reason for the fall of the market is not panic. Regulators came to the market and there will not be such big leaps as before. The main crypto-currency events are planned for the autumn of 2018, then we will see good growth.

How much would you make as first amount? I was thinking  £50 bit even if this times by even 10 that's only 500.

Would 300 be a more realistic start

It all depends on how much you can afford to spend. Start small, and when you study the market of Crypto-currency, you will increase the amount of the deposit. Do not worry if the course falls. You have not lost anything until you have sold it for less than you bought it.

Re: When will Apple accept bitcoins?
by
nickmax
on 21/05/2018, 14:02:24 UTC
When they really need to. But they'll fight it hard! Apple's business model is to lock everything down -- very closed indeed. This does not align with the goals of bitcoin, at least, how I perceive them.

tl;dr Apple = closed. BTC = open.

I don't think this moment will happen. Bitcoin and Apple have a different uniques style.
Bitcoin has no rules, Apple rules everything that they got, including its patents etc.

Why what you say can prevent taking bitcoin as a payment for your products. Bitcoin is a means of payment and no matter what goals it pursues. The biggest problem is the enormous volatility of crypto-currencies, because of which many companies refuse to take bitcoin.

How much, in your opinion, has international relations influenced the world economy and what do you think about it?

International relations and the world economy are closely connected. This is particularly noticeable in the confrontation of powerful powers. Recently, economic sanctions have become one of the methods of influence, which have a negative impact on the economy.

I've been keeping up with Bitcoin and investing for the past year, and Im wondering if anyone thinks it will drop back down to 6 - 6.5k in the upcoming months?
I've read a lot of projections and there is a mixed consensus but several "vets" agree it's due for a big drop.
What does everyone think?
bitcoin will not drop below 7k in the next few months. Mostly during the summer of each year, Bitcoin prices will increase sharply until the end of the year. so i suggest you to hold and wait

Growth in the summer will be, and it needs to be caught, because also in the summer there will be a big correction, because most people go on holidays in summer and the activity in the market of crypto-currency will decrease significantly.

What?  Did you asking a question? Well, anyway the economy in my country was terrible, so many corruption even the people who worked for the government did that. I don't know how to fix this problem,  but I'm pretty sure if bitcoin has it legalize in my country would be change a lot of things about the economy which is good movement.

I know what country you are talking about. And the legalization of bitcoin will not help the financial system in the country. It can only be changed by new people in power, but nobody will let them in. But maybe after a while everything will change. I hope so...

Re: Before Investing in Cryptocurrencies
by

In order to start investing in crypto-currencies, you need to create your investment strategy. Select the amount that you are ready to lose. And strictly follow the strategy and not panic during the fall.
