Re: many companies only use the blockchain and no bitcoin
by

on 19/06/2018, 01:57:34 UTC
It will effect it but we won't know how exactly. I think the changes will be positive because the more people that learn about blockchain, naturally will learn about Bitcoin. All of them may not invest but if only a small portion say 10% of them invest then this is a net positive. I doubt all 100% people who learn about blockchain will not invest in Bitcoin, seems highly unlikely.

Re: What is the future prospect of cryptocurrency?
by

on 11/06/2018, 20:35:38 UTC
It really matters what kind of success you want and how right and wrong are defined for you. I define success as having a great work life balance and crypto allows me to do exactly that. If you want success only in dollars then measure that way if you made the "right" decision. To each their own but if you look at what pundits are saying about this space, it is bound to blow up in the next 10 years, the only question is which trajectory will crypto take?

Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC
by

Not fair indeed, but sending in KYC documents that aren't your own are either illegal or should be illegal. I know you feel screwed over and rightfully so if you got surprised with KYC but stooping to their level won't help the situation. Besides being a bounty hunter you should now expect that you won't get all of your assets because things like this are going to happen. There will be scams and there will be surprise KYCs, this is the life of a bounty hunter sadly.

Re: Is it safe to join Bounty Campaigns managed by the ICO team themselves?

I would say those are the most likely to scam you because they don't have a reputation to maintain on this forum. The legendary managers have the most to lose and that is why I prefer to use those managers for bounty campaigns.

Re: Will Ripple Price Reach $ 5 Late This Year?
by

Not possible unless Bitcoin booms up to 35k+ and I don't know if that will happen this year. If Bitcoin reaches that price then Ripple has a chance to make $5 a pop, but I wouldn't bet on it (and I'm a betting person).

Re: John McAfee Announces 2020 Presidential Bid to Serve Crypto Community.
by

McAfee charges $105,000 for a single tweet about your coin. His followers blindly lap it up. He is orchestrating a massive pump and dump and getting paid for it.

He is fully aware he will never get elected - he is likely just going to use the platform/publicity to further increase his pump and dump scams and get richer from idiots that believe him.
Basically this. I think he did run in 2016 though or had some debates back then so it isn't a 100% a farce. But I do think he is leveraging his position with his following to use that in order to make him some money. Whether he runs in 2020 well we have to wait another year to see that.

Re: What do you think of Eth?
by

on 05/06/2018, 15:51:59 UTC
The coin circle has suffered a new round of black swan events. What do you think of Eth, whether to continue to hold or to sell.
I think Ethereum operates similarly to Bitcoin, based on a Blockchain, you can exploit it, exchange it, trade it through the Ether currency. Accordingly, in some respects Ethereum can be considered as a useful application
Ethereum itself is a great coin but when you have people like this above comparing it to Bitcoin it makes me wanna rip my eyes out. Bitcoin isn't Ethereum and vice versa. Bitcoin is a payment system. Ethereum is used for ICOs and DAPPs. Two polar opposite funcitons, and the quicker people realize it the better.

Re: Do you believe John McAfee is right about Bitcoin hitting $500,000 in 3 years?

Guys a crack head tbh. His analogy makes sense but doesnt mean anything about price increase.
Not a crack head, a smart head buddy. And he upped his prediction which to me didn't make any sense. If you felt confident in 500k, and your fundamentals made you think 1 million now, stay with 500k as a safe bet! That part to me was "cracked out" but other than that, it is entirely possible and I look forward to finding out whether or not it will come to fruition.

I don't have an idea with most of your tokens. The only coin that I know is TenX. Because of it's debit card that makes TenX as a good coin to hold for a longer time.
Same I would say hold on to TenX as they are the most legitimate of projects on that list. Investfeed has a neat idea too and if they can execute it, having a crypto twitter like that could be big. Obviously not the first one in wins, but Investfeed has a good chance as only Steemit really rivals it at the moment.

Re: what are the best exchange sites?
by

on 05/06/2018, 15:28:03 UTC
Any exchange that lets you be anonymous yet and there aren't many of those left. I worry that moving ahead in 2019 and onwards that we will have even less % of anonymous exchanges, which will make crypto not what it was when it started. Thank goodness for the development of decentralized exchanges, those in my mind will save crypto from the KYC AML disaster.

Re: why some ico failed
by
nightmanisrightman
on 05/06/2018, 02:49:14 UTC
The main problem I find with ICOs in late last year and this year is that they are greedy in the sense they don't plan to use all the funds but still ask for them anyways. These projects a lot of them could be funded with less than 50% of what they are asking, and it is a travesty that the average investor (us) gets fleeced in order to make these projects go. I want as many projects to be funded as possible, so we can find many solutions, but not at the expense of investors.

Re: New to Crypto, Any Advice?
by

Seeing how you are in Canada I would take advantage of the mining game. Mining a Bitcoin may be too expensive and difficult but with reduced energy electricity costs due to the cold, you can surely find a profitable coin to mine year round. Mining Bitcoin can range from $500 to 26k and if I remember that map correctly it cost roughly 4k to mine Bitcoin in Canada. This goes to show that mining in Canada can be good, if you are setup in the right location of course.

God no otherwise I would go crazy and lose my mind. I do check gainers and losers list on coinmarketcap to make sure my coins aren't mooning or dying. Aside from that I don't care terribly right now as all the fundamentals are still in place.

Re: Currently 1,610 coins/tokens...how are you finding good coins?
by
nightmanisrightman

Honestly with the amount of coins coming out everyday it would be impossible to know about them all. That is why I am currently only in the cryptos that I understand and know from last year. Also if you wanted to know the scope of all the coins in this space, it would be beyond a full time job. You would need a team to give you notes and most people don't have this luxury available.

Always have been fascinated with the technology but of course I would be lying if I wasn't here for the money. If I had to put a number on it I would say 60 40 in favor of technology but money is certainly a big driving force here too.

Social engineering scams are getting more clever every day, it is sad we must warn against them now. Just the other day my dad got a call from scammers saying if he didn't pay his taxes they would throw him in jail. Thankfully he laughed it off because he knew he paid, but if it was an older person who forgotten somehow, god damn I hate these scamming individuals Angry.

Re: Bounty with ETH giveaway?
by
nightmanisrightman
on 21/05/2018, 18:45:34 UTC
There are a few campaigns that give away ETH although like others said they are few of them. The last one bounty campaign I saw giving away ETH was CrowdMachine but that one completed couple months ago. Look for campaigns that are getting bigger raises, I feel like they are more likely to give away ETH although nothing is 100%.

i have 2 tx of around 80 gigabb lost in limbo

What are the circumstances of these losses? What does the DAG explorer say about the transactions? Can you provide the sending and receiving addresses of those transactions?
of cource i can....fuck this shit...i have sended from YHDUFGB5TRXTGCHTBCFEJ7YVAP5AKXBR to FPNWUYTGPJ3FGPE4MSSXLAKV27XY4JEU
You don't get angry at the people who are trying to help you. Yes you are frustrated your tx didn't go through but come on getting angry doesn't help the cause at all. Glad it worked out for you, but watch your attitude bud.
