Re: Kid already making $32k monthly through ethtereum

That's really amazing, not to think that they are only 14 and 9, and they only know about cryptocurrency because of their father. I guess if i'm still 14, not to mention 9, i won't care about cryptocurrency, let alone trying to learn about that and invest in it, since cryptocurrency is quite hard and complicated to understand. But their interest and dedication is really in another level. Knowing how to mine from youtube, they sure is smart, and hardworking as well to be able to achieve $32k. They really motivated me and inspired me.

Re: Bitcoin adoption and increase in crime rate, how correlated are they?.
by
nightxglow
on 19/08/2021, 11:23:51 UTC
Well there might be a correlation to the increase in crime rate with bitcoin, because we can't deny that bitcoin anonymity is such a great thing for the criminals. It'll be really hard to track them, and the value is high too, really worth for them. I heard so many criminal cases about bitcoin, scams, money laundering, illegal buying using bitcoin and such. Of course, with bitcoin coming, they have something easy and useful for their crime. But is it bitcoin fault? No it's not. Although it might be upsetting for us to hear bad news or talks about bitcoin, but well they sure have correlation, although the increase of crime rates won't necessarily because of bitcoin, even if there's no bitcoin, those criminals will still find other way for their crimes.

Re: Bitcoin Youtube Scam?
by

If you see lots of accounts with repeated same comments, then I guess it's a scam. Although it is already so obvious that it's a scam, but some desperate people, or those who're quite naive and don't know much might get interested in those comments. I suggest that you should never believe in those kind of things, since I can guarantee that those are fake. Even if you contact them and they ask you money, as long as you don't give it it's fine though. Or maybe they're asking for your wallet and such, if you don't give them anything, you won't be scammed. But if you believe and give or do what they want, you will get scammed for sure.

Re: Crypto vs Stocks
by
nightxglow
on 18/08/2021, 15:45:28 UTC
They are pretty similar as an investment but I think the main difference is like you said, with stocks, we can have a share or proportion of the company, meanwhile if it's crypto, we don't have such thing. We just have the coin, but it's not tangible so we can't really see or feel it. Other than that, crypto is more regulated, not too much out of control, and has less risk too. Meanwhile crypto has higher risk, but of course bigger profits in return as well. None of them is really better than each other, it's all depend on the person, whether they like crypto more or stocks more. All will have different opinion. Although i myself prefer crypto for a long term investment, especially bitcoin, meanwhile stocks is more suitable for trading for me.

Re: Only young and naive guy believe in high risk high return
by

on 18/08/2021, 15:39:04 UTC
First of all, it's war. What's the return for war? It's not high risk high return I guess, it's high risk zero return. Nothing can be gained from war, only sadness, misery and nightmares. Meanwhile, I believed in high risk high return in an investment. There are also a lot of articles and journals regarding that thing too, so are you saying that those scientific researches are wrong? If there's low risk high return, of course many people want that. But life is not a paradise, it's not that easy. There might be something low risk high return for the elites, but it's only for those with privilege, and for the one who don't have? they have to take the risk of course in order to gain something big in return.

Re: Why FOMO when a coin is pumping
by
nightxglow
on 17/08/2021, 16:01:26 UTC
Maybe since they thought that the pump will continue for some more time, so even if they buy at that pump time, they can still gain profits for a bit, although not as much as when they buy it in the low price. However it's surely kinda risky though, since when the coin is pumping already, the chance that it'll go down will surely be high, when the coin is expensive, of course lots of people want to sell it and gain profits, thus the price will decline. but not many will understand it, or maybe they just like to take the risk. But I agree that FOMO is really scary sometimes. You can experience lots of loss because of that.

Re: Bitcoin should be taxed
by
nightxglow
on 17/08/2021, 15:49:51 UTC
In my country there is no tax regulation regarding bitcoin yet, but although I kinda don't like having to get my profits taxed, I guess it is important to tax bitcoin. Why? Because for my experience, before, I can get a lot of money, $1000 or even $2000 without needing it to be cut with tax. Crazy right? Meanwhile in my country, if you're single and your salary is around $320 a month, you need to pay tax for your income. While that time, I can get all of my money. I think taxing bitcoin will be beneficial for the governments as well, and we as citizen should be willing to get taxed for our income, so I don't really mind. Especially if after having any tax regulation, the government might think positively to bitcoin, supporting it and even legalized it, then it will be really great. Just make sure the tax won't be so high and backwards to us instead, it'll be quite upseting if so.

Re: Don't give your bitcoins to scammers
by

on 17/08/2021, 15:12:50 UTC
Everything that seems to good to be true is probably fake, or scams. Not surprised, but hopefully people will realize it and avoid them. I guess you shouldn't believe anything if you need to handover your bitcoin. It'll be okay if you just need to do something and gain bitcoin instead. Actually, just in case you don't know yet, there are a lot of cryptocurrency give away right now in twitter. Although it seems really fake and too good to be true, but it's 100% legit. They are giving starting from $1, $100 or even $1000 worth of cryptocurrency coins freely. Not really free, but most of the time you just need to follow the twitter account, join their telegram, or vote for the coins. Everything is easy. Although there are some scams account as well which never give out the reward, there are tons that are legit, my friend has got $100, while I haven't got that much but I once win $10 of BNB though, it's good enough without needing to do anything hard or spend any money.

Re: What is the legal status of Bitcoin in your country?
by
nightxglow
on 17/08/2021, 14:48:01 UTC
In my country, Indonesia, the legality of bitcoin is still quite confusing. But one thing for sure, bitcoin is not considered as a legal currency in my country since the legal currency that can be used in Indonesia is the one that is officially issued by the government, which is Rupiah. So, bitcoin is not a legal currency yet, maybe we can considered it illegal. However, it's not like government banning everything related to bitcoin. Even, Bitcoin is legalized by the Ministry of Commerce through the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency. So i guess it's legal as a trading commodity, however not as a currency.

Re: Bitcoin will be more effective in the future
by
nightxglow
on 17/08/2021, 14:42:57 UTC
It will surely be effective, even now I guess most of young generations prefer cashless transaction using e-money or digital wallet, at least in my country, that's the case. Especially there are a lot of e-money giving lots of promotion and such in my country, so people rarely use cash since they want discount and such. Although bitcoin doesn't give discount or something, but bitcoin surely is valuable and worth high, so i know that if bitcoin is becoming more common, more merchants accept bitcoin, there might be a lot of people going to use bitcoin later on. Even now, i never bring any cash anymore and only use e-money or digital wallet, although not bitcoin since it's not accepted in my country. But once it's accepted, i might use it as well.

Re: Incredible stories of Bitcoin millionaires
by

on 16/08/2021, 14:03:21 UTC
I was looking at https://blockchain.info/address/1Fd8RuZqJNG4v56rPD1v6rgYptwnHeJRWs Stefan Molyneux's bitcoin adress :

Total Received   652.94530317 BTC

Final Balance   521.24590891 BTC

He accumulated quite a lot of bitcoins through donations, it will eventually buy a lot in a few years and it is incredible. Do you have other stories of people accumulating large amount of bitcoins without investing any fiat ?
Yes i have, recently I saw so many crypto promotor in social media such as twitter, so it's basically like someone with a huge followers and engagement that is promoting your crypto projects, or altcoins, bitcoin and such. I once came upon this girl who said that she once some coins from her client or the sponsor, I don't know what coins she get since she doesn't spill it, at first, the one who has the project sent her coins worth of $300. However later on, the coin is now worth $40k, which is insanely an amazing amount! She didn't spend any money on that, she got it freely from the project team, and now she profited hella lot of money from that. It might be because she's so patient as well. Imagine if the first time she got it she just sold it since it's still a 'nobody' coin, however she kept them and now, look at her. Got a fortune from it. Lucky for sure.

Re: The recent surge in Covid-19 is making vaccine makers to have a rethink
by
nightxglow
on 16/08/2021, 13:51:31 UTC
It's probably because most of the world aren't ready to face a global pandemic that is easily transmitted like Covid-19 yet. Before, maybe the transmission of the virus can be stopped since mobility is still limited, however now, it's really easy to go everywhere, and most people are still ignorant, not wearing mask or social distancing, making it easier for people to get infected. People complaining wanting their old lives back, but the step that can be taken now sure only is vaccination, at least it will prevent some cases although not all, and won't make them severe. But the vaccination rate is still low, and not that effective, so actually it's great for vaccine makers to think how to improve it and make the better version of the vaccine, we need to cooperate to of course, willing to get vaccinated and follow all of the health protocol.

Re: "Crypto is no longer in the early adoption stage"
by
nightxglow
on 16/08/2021, 13:44:13 UTC
Is that so? well i do think that we're not that early, but still it's still not considered a lot though. Like for example, for sure now bitcoin is more popular, it's more mainstream than it used to be, a lot people using it already whether as currency or as investment. However if we compared the total number of people with the number of people involved in cryptocurrency, I believed that the ratio is still so small. Even not many countries adopt it yet, although there are some that already took the first step, but there are still many that ban bitcoin, or just don't give a care about bitcoin at all. So I guess we still have such a long way to go though.

Re: Doesn't it teach, BTC Price will never go down if we won't force it to go down?
by
nightxglow
on 16/08/2021, 13:35:23 UTC
I guess what elon said, or what Chinda did surely made an impact for bitcoin, even for a bit. For those who don't really understand bitcoin, and only buying it because of those crypto influencer, they will follow what elon musk said and sold their bitcoin, thinking that when elon said something bad, the price will fall again and they will lose their money. Thus, since we can't deny that there are quite many people getting into this cryptocurrency world because of the influencers, of course if they all sold their bitcoin at the same time, the price will fall. Some people might get affected with China banning bitcoin as well. But, there are people who take this as opportunity as well, when the price decreases or when it's low, people believing in bitcoin will take the chance to buy btc when it's cheap and add up their investment, as long as the demand is still there, the price will still go up. Especially when the price is low, many people want to buy bitcoin, so in the end it will go up again.

Re: The use of Bitcoin as a local currency!
by
nightxglow
on 16/08/2021, 13:22:21 UTC
I don't think all countries will use bitcoin as a currency, not because bitcoin is bad or anything, it's just that not all countries are ready for adopting it yet. There are so many countries that lack of internet services in some areas, and of course internet is so important if we want to use bitcoin as a currency. Although there are so many great advantages that bitcoin has, but I think it will be hard. I guess it might be great though, like we all have only one currency, so we shouldn't be confused, or stressed over rates, and other things if we only have one currency. However the implementation won't be that easy.

Re: The more popular Bitcoin is, the more valuable it is?

Recently, there as been a lot of discussion about using Bitcoin to pay or employers to pay salaries using Bitcoin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5351973.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5352233.new#new

(All forum threads, there will be many similar views)

There is a lot of hype among Amazon, Apple, and Tesla about accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. Many of them say that the adoption is better, but if the company converts a large amount of Bitcoin paid by customers into legal tender, it will give Bitcoin. The currency brings a lot of selling pressure.
Bitcoin is limited. Everyone uses Bitcoin for payment and daily transactions. Bitcoin is becoming more and more popular. Many people know that Bitcoin also has countries that set Bitcoin as legal tender. If Bitcoin is used to pay salaries, is it necessary to collect taxes?
Bitcoin is becoming more and more common for daily payments. If it is more convenient for everyone to buy bitcoins and use bitcoins for daily payments, will the price of bitcoins get lower and lower?
But now the legal currency has depreciated. For example, if you are rich, then you will not let your money just be stored in the bank, and will invest it in cryptocurrencies, houses, stocks, and others.
If conditions permit, I would be happy to use Bitcoin for daily payments, but some people have said that they will not sell their own Bitcoins and have been waiting for the price of Bitcoin to rise.
Do you think Bitcoin will be devalued in the future?
I guess if bitcoin is becoming more and more common and people started to use it as daily transaction currency, the value won't be as high as it is now. Why? because most people now rarely use their bitcoin and use it as their asset, so they save bitcoin until the value is high. However, if people use it as currency, less people will hold it so I guess the value won't be as high as it is now, but It will be more stable though since it's being used daily, we need to maintain the price not to increase or decrease drastically. However, the value of something is still based on the supply and demand, as long as the supply is still lower than the demand, i think bitcoin will still have a high value even in the future. But if vice versa, then we shouldn't be surprised if the price started to decline or the value is decreasing.

Re: Reasons for newbies loss in bitcoin
by
nightxglow
on 14/08/2021, 16:40:36 UTC
beginners often lose bitcoin because of point 1. I think this is because beginners only see the movement of the bitcoin increase chart in a short time without thinking about the long term. so it's easy to get stuck in the opinion phase, get rich quick. this is wrong, because in crypto everything requires a process and there is no instant rich
But disregarding that reason, I think it's more of the impatience that causes them to loss money, they panic when the prices are going down which ends up with them having to sell their bitcoin at a lower price because they're scared that it will only go down to that point. Plus, there's the short-term mentality of the newbie, they don't exactly think at the grand scheme because they're scared that it's all a scam at the end.

lack of knowledge about bitcoin. people will loss their fund because of their reckless to respond what if that state come to them. newbie need guidance from expert to do the next move. most of them will panic if bitcoin price fall.
and im not sure if people will follow unknow people to decide something important.
Right, the lack of knowledge regarding bitcoin sure is what made them experience loss, mostly. They might not understand much about bitcoin situation, the trend, the volatility and such, and for those people, they are being so afraid even if the price fall only a little, or fall quite much for short time. They will be panic and then most of them will panic selling, which will make the price decline even more, and more people will complain about their loss and such. Only if they understand that bitcoin can be really volatile, trust it enough and never sell in panic, of course decline won't happen, and the price will slowly increases back again. Really, people need to learn more before investing though, to avoid making mistakes that can be prevented.

Re: Argentine President sees no reason to oppose Bitcoin adoption
by

on 14/08/2021, 16:30:25 UTC
What the president said is true though, there's no reason for them to oppose bitcoin adoption, since bitcoin surely has many advantages that can help the country. Even if there will surely be some minor problems, but if the country is ready and want to adopt it, they will make sure to prevent any trouble heading and prepare the best for it right? It's good enough if the country shows an interest in bitcoin adoption, if then the plan is carried out, then it will be a great step for bitcoin acceptance in the world.

Re: Getting paid in Bitcoin vs getting paid in Fiat
by
nightxglow
on 12/08/2021, 13:43:05 UTC
I guess there's no better one, since it's all depends on the person, based on their own perspective. People who involved in cryptocurrency might want to get paid in bitcoin, since they know its value, how to manage or use it, and such. However, those who are not familiar with bitcoin might not want to be paid in bitcoin and prefer fiat instead. They will not understand bitcoin, and think why should they get paid in bitcoin. It'll be a lot dangerous too if after the company paid certain amount of bitcoin, then bitcoin price fell, those people will have the amount of money less than they should have, and since they don't understand they'll come out for protest. Both are fine and work well for the one who like them, each of them has their own advantages and disadvantages, but if the price of bitcoin is in bearish situation or trend, maybe I'll prefer to be paid with fiat instead of btc, and vice versa.

Re: Reasons to Invest in Bitcoin??
by
nightxglow
on 12/08/2021, 13:38:37 UTC
Those are good reasons you stated, but it's not all I guess. Another factor that really really make people want to invest in bitcoin is because its value and price. We have heard many people getting rich because of bitcoin, and don't tell me that I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure a lot of new investors came to this cryptocurrency world because they want to experience the same thing. Because they've heard that many people get rich from bitcoin, and that bitcoin is such a good investment. People want that profit as well, and bitcoin sure is such a great investment choice, so why not?
