Why would you open a company, struck it off the register, open a new company, change name/ address all under same director? in matter of months? hm...

One of the reasons for 29/12 may be that he wrote his full name instead.

I just got bit info about them... not sure what are they capable to deliver but I asked some people in Manchester and there is a company with that name on the address they provided and it's there for years. So, at least, that part is legit.
Do you say that Alpha Technology were at that place for many years now? I personally thought that they were new, at least under one year old..

is anyone planning on doing a more thorough background check? Come on btctalk hax0rs.  Also, a form of escrow for down payments would show some buyer protection.  Reputable escrow por favor?  Paypal only provides protection for x amount of time, not indefinitely.

There is a lot of info on the Dextel. There was an article in "The Hindu" which was written by its owner. What I think will be really useful if knowing people take a look at their scrypt asic design and tell if it looks real and if its really is an ASIC. https://alpha-t.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Scrypt_ASIC_Prototyping_Design_Document.pdf

~2000$=5mhs=1btc every two weeks
~9000$=25mhs=1btc every two days
calculations based on coinwarz

price seems low or am i wrong?

Don't forget the difficulty increase  Grin

2000$ for 5mhs with a single purpose chip is not cheap.
I can build a 2mhs rig under 1200$.

The 5mhs asic miner can not be used for other purposes or be sold, after mining is no longer profitable -> selling computer parts is easy

You get about 3 times the hashpower compared to normal hardware. Not bad, but definitly not cheap.

Biggest problem:
Shipping date! Same problem had BFL... delay = mining loss!

dont forget that these will be shipped in a long time from now. Big chance the new radeons will get u a similar hashrate by that time, for cheaper.

Just sayin.

edit: oh and just forget about mining btc with these. The new jupiters will be out before that so the difficulty of btc will skyrocket.

AMD won't release the new cards in a year (they never do it so often). But yeah, the mining loss is really big with those release dates.. and think about the competitors that will come shortly.

I'm looking forward to VIPER.  I hope Alpha Technology (AT) will consider doing something no other mining hardware manufacturer (that I know of) is doing - provide the option to purchase pre-orders through an escrow service.

This may require seeking venture capital or paying out-of-pocket to fund first batch manufacturing, but the benefits (in my opinion) would far outweigh those costs for legitimate businesses.  By offering a purchase through escrow option, AT could:
- guarantee buyers a full refund if products/services are not delivered as promised.  This should alleviate at least some concerns for potential buyers who are 'on the fence' and/or have been 'burned before' by companies that were either scams to begin with or just fell apart
- protect themselves from fraudulent chargebacks
- set a new gold standard for how mining manufacturers handle pre-orders

Everybody wins.

Going one step further, if AT offers a full one-year warranty (unlike Cointerra's 30 day warranty) and price reduction protection (several companies do this), that would seal the deal.

Fingers crossed.

They offer paypal paying options for pre-orders, if this may be of an interest.

Dump every day. Market order. As low as necessairy to sell all coins.

The fun is over, when there are only a few coins to mine. With the actual hashrate, we will soon have mined 75% of all coins.
Why not over 500? Because this coin is only fun and useless. Selling pressure is very high due to all the multipools. I would not advice to buy dogecoins with "big" coins like bitcoin or litecoin. Just use other fun coins.

If you have mined more than 200k, sell some % and keep the rest.

Don't listen to him! DOGE to the moon!!!

Expect DOGE to be at something like 0.0003 BTC for 1K, or 0.0000003 BTC per DOGE to be in line profitability wise with other lucrative alt currencies.

Not at the beginning of course, but in 24/48H it shouldn't be surprising.
Can you tell us why you think so? :-)

How many confirmations before your coins show up on cryptsy?

WOW WOW  Shocked MUCH CONFIRMATIONS  Shocked STILL NO MONEY = NO RICH
I think it's not about the confirmations but how much time it takes cryptsy to get it through its own system.

Was quick enough to send my doge from coinedup to cryptsy! I am sure about it because the cryptsy wallet now has balance (on dogechain). So just waiting doge to appear on cryptsy  Grin

Is dropbox considered a good option, or easily hackable? Let's say that the wallet is encrypted (talking about export feature in bitcoin-qt).
