a couple pages back, after the hack, slush actually said it was still over 7 thash...

That's not too bad. I am glad many of us are sticking arround. I haven't been doing this for long but from what I have seen Slush is doing more than 1 man should be expected to do on his own in such a short amount of time.

Yeah p2pool is a nice fallback seeing how one of it's goals is to help prevent ddos. Just started using it today. if it's not too much of a network hog to keep the p2pool service running then it may be even a good long term failover pool to keep in the miners config.

It's not a crime to use another pool while you wait for a fix. HHTT allows you to mine without having to register an account or I'm currently quite liking p2pool.

biskup that is a very unpleasant scenario but as long as a large portion of miners are divers machines (different os, patched versions, etc.) then the attack surface is rather difficult to gain a large portion at one time before the miner operators notice (no more coin being delivered for work, etc.)

Why thank you both. It's nice to see 2 replys in 2min. I am also intrested in the mining of BTC. From the folks who have been doing it for a while how they go about turning the coins into cash to pay the KWH used to produce the BTC. Any automated way to get the exchange done?
