Bitcoin armory is pretty much the same as Bitcoin core. Any SPV wallet would be nearly as safe if installed on a online computer while taking less time to sync, if you are in a hurry, you can just import it on blockchain.info or any other SPV client.

Its not im in a hurry it just keeps crashing my computer, driving me mad!

import it?

Hi, For some reason just after bitcoin core has done its checking on the first app page it completely shuts down my laptop.

This is after leaving on all night to download the database
Cheers, James

Are you sure it has the full database?  One night seems pretty quick if you downloaded the whole thing.
Last night "Bitcoin Armory" downloaded the bootstrap.dat which is now in roaming and 26.9gb big

No because "Bitcoin Armory" is shutting it down too when its loading the database.

Think its a bad block ive downloaded, ive made a coin request and sent the coins over, there not showing up yet.

So my question is Will i lose the transaction if i start re-installing bitcoin core or delete the blocks?
