on a mac it crashed so, quit client then:
bash-3.2$ cd Library/Application\ Support/Archcoin/
bash-3.2$ cp wallet.dat ~
bash-3.2$ rm *
bash-3.2$ cp ~/wallet.dat .

hope that bash shell you're working in has been patched Cheesy

wallet is very very clean. great stuff so far man!!

No official statement yet. My guess is there will be one either soon or sometime tomorrow, since tomorrow was actually the planned release date.

Ok, does an unofficial statement exist? I'm not currently an investor, but should I consider becoming one, this release is DOA imo and would need quite a lot of work before I would buy.

Can someone direct me to any official KeyOS statements about the purpose and extent of security measures the OS is supposed to provide/achieve?

Just doing a quick security audit and I see several things which need to be addressed before I would even think about using KeyOS outside of testing purposes.

TIA

Thanks for your responses guys. Ya I don't know whats going on. Originally the Win32 and Win64 wallet would not sync. Typed in the stuff above and sync'd in like a minute or so (i forget).

Went to Genesis where I have exceeded the withdraw limit of 500 (dont know if this fkd things up). Made a full withdraw and my wallet has ZERO transactions? Never had this prob before so idk .

did your coins ever make it or are you still waiting on the 500?

Had a few of them however now only seems to get to 4 connections. Must be not enough nodes or people using this coin enough for more nodes online.

As long as you have the 'max-connections' set to something more than the default (which either 6 or 8 IIRC), you should be able to connect to as many as possible via that setting. I currently have only the 2 mentioned in the OP in my config but have discovered the others via the network. I'll post my complete config below just as reference.

Are the default ones that it ships with not working?

The 2 listed in the OP should be enough to get you going. Here's a complete copy of my instantcoin.conf file (also make sure the file uses a lowercase 'i' in instantcoin.conf as it is case sensitive). DNS seeds are also being worked on so that the 'addnode' statements are not needed to find nodes on the network but that work has not been completed.

Also the node that I run 207.29.218.6 is on somewhat older hardware and will be upgraded probably this weekend. Put the 207.29.221.125 node first just to be safe.

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=*
daemon=1
server=1
maxconnections=100
gen=0
testnet=0
listen=1

addnode=207.29.221.125
addnode=207.29.218.6

* This config is for a full node meaning you want others to use you connection as a way to connect to other nodes and sync the blockchain. If you want to only connect to the network and download the blockchain as a client the below config should work for you instead. If it gives you any problems, try adding the other statements above until it connects (rpcallowip=* and listen=1 may be needed although I haven't tested it without these tbh).

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password

addnode=207.29.221.125
addnode=207.29.218.6

Here's a list of what my wallet on my desktop is connected to so try adding these to your instantcoin.conf file and see if it improves.

addnode=207.29.221.125
addnode=207.29.218.6
addnode=207.68.220.150
addnode=195.12.60.154
addnode=67.230.217.242
addnode=92.222.8.163
addnode=76.219.197.62
addnode=71.89.21.18

from what I see, I don't even trust to download the wallet. I don't know what goodies are hidden in there.

what would make you say you don't trust the wallet? source code is available on github Smiley

it's a nice wallet if you ask me (or not ask me lol).

dev did a pretty good job as it's very clean and sending coins across the network is well 'instant' Smiley
