near future. btc is worth a boatload of money. a group of robbers discovers that hall finney had some btc stored in a brain wallet before he was cryopreserved. they plan a heist to steal his frozen body and extract the passphrase from his brain.

how does that sound?

I'm probably back.

Sorry about the cert, it's gonna be updated today.

I'll post more replies later, regarding counter at the bottom of the page, please don't trust it too much. The reason I don't have graph of it over time is because I keep getting some problems with the module that handles live updates, and sometimes subscribers stop being counted, while sometimes there seem to be some hanging and it will go down like 20% after restarting servers.
i expect to see a response to my accusations on the previous page

hello. i am a computer science student and i will be writing a thesis this semester. im considering implementing smart property in this thesis. my main inspiration was bitcoin wiki page titled Smart Property. but i also heard about coloured coins and it seems they can be used for this purpose. my question is do you know about any similar technologies or already existing implementations of this concept?

Has anybody else noticed that the depth chart has been quirky/wrong for the last few days?

Yes seeing the same thing here. Market depth has been quite broken the past few days. Like it's missing data or something.
it looks like a deliberate attempt to affect market price. it works like this: site owner chooses if he wants to drive the price up or down. if he chooses up, then some fake buy orders are placed near current price and real sell order near current price are gradually removed.

yesterday it was set to drive up, now its set to drive down. here is a screenshot picturing removal of real orders (the flat green line, the step around 613 is a fresh order and it was removed a few seconds after taking this screenshot):

now bitcoinwisdom.com for comparison:

next time i see fake orders im gonna take a screenshot too.
