I have done this myself using BIP39 HD Wallets.
I wrote the code in C# using SQL Server for the database.

It was very hard work as most of what is out there uses non-enterprise level code such as JavaScript, GO or PHP.
Any databases they used were open source and had no consideration for security or scale.

SQL Server has built in always on encryption with enterprise level security, so a good foundation.
The way you build your API can restrict access to only the accounts that they need to access so I do not see this as an issue as far as system wide security goes.
It is only a risk to the funds of the developer holding the API key so it becomes their responsibility to look after their own keys.

Hope this gives you some clues as to where to start but HD Wallets are the future for this type of application.

Checked out Gitter, posted a message, message got deleted.
Guessing they don't want to be distracted from their important works.

I have to stress that this is paid employment @ a great company.

After a Vyper smart contract developer.

Hi all,

Quick shout out to anyone currently using Vyper for smart contracts or who knows any developers that are using/thinking of using Vyper? This is particularly with either API or UX design ability.
I know of a company that is desperately looking for one. They are an established UK marketing company who I am sure could offer a great springboard for anyone wishing to take their development experience to the next level.

Please let me know and I can pass on your details.

Thanks

Cheers for responding Fatunad. You may say that it appears an obvious scam yet they are sending out link requests to some well respected actors in the community who have accepted the links. Perhaps they just accept anyone without a thought that by association they give respectability to these people.
I also wanted to put it out there in case others are not so cautious.

Cryptomoneyhouse - Scam?
by

on 10/05/2018, 14:35:05 UTC
Hi guys,

Just got this LinkedIn request from some joker called Lewis from Cryptomoneyhouse.
Got some big claims about being "One of the largest OTC traders in London. Cash, B2B, Wire. Big and small quantities."
Says they are Private Equity owned (Worth Billions.)

Did a few basic checks, they were incorporated last month and their website is a Go Daddy piece of crap.

He refuses to answer any of my questions seriously and only wants to know if I trade BTC and how much.

Anyone have dealings with this company?

Do I need to ask if Scam?

Try to create a small soundproof room just for your S9. In that way, noise will be minimized. There are many tutorials in youtube on how to create a soundproof room.
still, even with this homemade soundproof box its about 55DB

Dude, that's about as loud as normal conversation or about the same as a typical AC.
The db scale is logarithmic so 55db is quite a decrease from the 80db they normally are.

I would imagine people are anticipating the release of  bitcoin cash on coinbase come the 1st of january. If coinbase is going through the effort to allow there to be a wallet for bch on their site, Why not just enable it for fiat trading. Then it should explode.

Excellent point.

Could be. Though must admit I am doing kind of the same thing only on a much, much smaller scale.
Agree, BTC tx fees are ridiculous nowadays so if your doing a lot of transactions you might as well make use of BCH then settle your position in BTC. Also, there are days when even though BTC is so high, it is sometimes more plofitable mining BCH as the difficulty has remained fairly stable.

Re: An 8MB Block Found on the Bitcoin Cash
by

on 15/12/2017, 09:57:33 UTC
Bigger blocks take more space so essentially the size of the blockchain will get bigger and bigger day by day. As the blockchain size increases less number people can run full nodes and it would lead to massive Centralisation of Bitcoin. Increasing blocksize is just a temporary adjustment. You can't scale it to millions of transactions.

Totally disagree. Yes, there will be some bigger blocks but you need that it there are lots of transactions.
Equally, if volumes diminish then there could be smaller blocks.
Database size should only grow with number of transactions (as it should.)
You only need to store the transactions over a ten minute period in each block.

Essentially, if there are no transactions over that period you would just be storing the header and footer.
So blocks should be able to shrink and grow according to transaction volume.
You don't store white space to pad a block to a fixed size.

An 8MB Block Found on the Bitcoin Cash

An 8MB Block Found on the Bitcoin Cash Blockchain Clears 37K Transactions

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-cash-8mb-block-479469-clears-over-37000-transactions/

Yet there are currently 137904 unconfirmed transactions waiting to clear off the bitcoin (NOT CASH) blockchain and some folk who can't afford ridiculous transaction fees are waiting for days for their transactions to clear.  Roll Eyes

This is why something needs to be done about the monopoly of a certain few over how the blockchain is utilised.  Angry

Desperately seeking answers as to why the status quo might be a good thing - e.g. perhaps the transaction delay stops run-away speculation? Or the miners who do find a block profit more? Rarity or un-obtainability increases value?

What are your thoughts?

There is a big movement toward solar power and renewables.
In particular there are a lot of videos on YouTube on how to build your own DIY Powerwalls like Tesla.

If you can get a reliable and inexpensive supply of 18650 batteries then you could put together your own brand of Powerwall.

They are really easy to make with minimal soldering skills required it just takes time and energy.
If initial outlay is a problem you could start with small units and build up.

This may be good also for the Indian market where I understand that electricity is expensive and intermittent.

There are some pretty good YouTube videos on how to make an "antminer silencer box."

These are basically either a cool box or thick cardboard box with 5" (125cm) curved AC ducting at either end.

I have tried this on my S9 and it does do a good job of noise reduction.
As a side benefit as my miner is outside in a freezing shed it upped the hash rate slightly as it warmed it up a bit.
