I am using BitCurex since few months. Its generally safe SO FAR. Servers are often overload but in 2 days from today they migrate to much bigger servers so problems should be gone.

A stranger buy a ticket, fly across the globe, make pictures and NOW he needs to ask for permission to publish it. So why they allow you to make them in the first place? BTW - if all of them portraits some strangers, resistors and fans laying on desks and some weirdo with an iron and oscilloscope - spare our time and dont publish it.  Grin

I am encountering issues with BTCChina.

After a long run STB stop to correctly set price position. IE I have BTC on account but it constantly change it to sold. Even after forcefull change it to bought. Then STB make some trade (like 0.0002 trade) and set position again to sold. Now Ive restarted STB again and for now its ok.

I am not sure its a STB fault. It seems like BTCChina API have some flaws too.

I made a small adjustment to the BTCChina API in my code. It still works for me and maybe it will work for more people, maybe it was my code.

I have updated the download to version 0.9.0.5 beta, is there somebody willing to give it a try?

I did a test with 0.9.0.5 and BTCChina returned 401 again in the first try.

So I made a deposit in BTCChina and traded once. I then waited about half an hour, tried again and guess what.. it worked!
After that I did a test with 0.9.0.4 and it was working too!

Whoever did not get BTCChina working yet, try making a deposit and a trade, it might do the API activation trick for you as well.

Did You set transaction password? Maybe theres a problem with that. Ive made deposit and made buy/sell but still I cant sucessfully connect to BTCChina althou I can see wallet amount...

Actually, I'd like some comments from you...

- Would you like a USB miner or are you happy with standalone RasPi controlled unit?
- Do you feel modular design is important, or would you prefer a nice tidy box?
- What about form factor: free or rack?
- What dB level are you comfortable with?
- Internal custom PSU or ATX?

- stand-alone with Ethernet. Its the most convenient way. No PC/Laptop but self sustainable mashine.
- any
- any
- dont care
- any

Stephan -
Do You intend to add BitCurex to available exchangers?
Its growing bigger and bigger. It would be nice to have it.

Price graph dont update.
Uninstaled and installed 903 on two computers (Vista and Win7). Only one exchange -  BitStamp configured.

Graphs dont work. Current price is not shown below graphs

If I open dropdown "Exchange website" list and choose again Bitstamp - current price (buy/sell) is shown but still no graph.

Opening Benchmark and I see pricegraph but not on the main screen.

True, it is not possible to start the software more times and work at the same exchange. You are flooding the exchange right now. Stop this before your IP gets banned.

I use two separate computers with two separate internet connections in separate locations. One small laptop which I intend to run 24/7 .
Second is my personal computer where STB is started from time to time just to check and verify for bugs like these above.

Theres no way to saturate Exchange but this assures me that STB have issues. Like not refreshing price graphs.

Additionally - I found that after restarting STB theres no info about connected exchanges - footer dont show anything except "-".
I need to open settings and save already stored information and then STB shows me exchanges conncted. Not before.

I  would propose as a feature -

ZOOM of price graph and scrolling left right.
Now with time the graph is more and more compressed. After two days it start to become unusable.

New STB 0902 dont update BitStamp currency data.
BitStamp is properly configured.
Graph is not showing any data. Ive disabled firewall to check if this is the problem. Uninstalled previous version before installed new one.

UPDATE: Graphs start to work when I configured second bot and pointed to the same bitstamp and same currency.

Is there any way to limit trades to only the amounts specified in the "Trade Amount" box?

I've noticed that if I only want to trade with 10Btc (say), if I have a total of 30 in my wallet, and the Drop-loss level is hit, it's possible that all 30 would be sold in 10 + 10 + 10 increments (presumably assuming there are 3 ticks all below my drop loss?  Is that how it works?)

Is the mechanism to create another wallet and put all the coins I don't want traded into there?

Isnt it suppose to switch currency position after transaction has been made thus blocking 10+10+10 selling/buying concurrent transactions?

If not its a wrong behaviour in my opinion too.

@nowywbitcoinowymswiecie:
Sorry, but i will never rush a release or do a pre-release. Sometimes i will do a Alpha release, but that is for big changes to the trade-engine only. I can understand people may want this version already, but if it does not work as expected or if it makes wrong trades then i will get a lot of complains. I can better avoid that and make sure first everything works first.

Sure! Completely understandable. But changes look great.

Hi Stephan,

Good stuff! The chances of going out of scope now are much slimmer.

Maybe another double-check on MACD:
- Set Short EMA to 12 (Can be variably set by User)
- Set Long EMA to 26 (Can be variably set by User)
- Calculate divergence between them (Short - Long) (This is the MACD)
- Calculate a 9 Period EMA on the divergence (This is the smoothed signal line) (Can be variably set by User)
- MACD Crossover = MACD - Smoothed Signal Line
- If the result of the MACD Crossover is positive -> Buy signal
- If the result of the MACD Crossover is negative -> Sell signal

Is this how your implementation works as well? (The calculation of the smoothed signal line is an important step!)

Couple more feature requests:
- Add transaction fees to the benchmark tool calculations
- Keep transaction fees up to date (bitstamp has changing transaction fees based on your volume)
- Option to pull historical data from exchanges to easily benchmark on one year historical data for example.
- Trailing Stop-Loss (http://www.wikinvest.com/wiki/Trailing_Stop_Order)

Regards,
San1ty
Definitely, San1ty changes are much apprecitated!
But- Stephan - relese what You have so far. Present issues are a little annoying and screen Youve just posted looks like HUGE improvement!

I am still evaluating the update/crash issue but need to ask for one feature (important in my opinion):

Please add a function to import historical currency data.
It shouldn be any legal problem as this are publicly available.

For users like me which dont run STB for 24h/day it would be much help. (I am not arguing - I know that trading robot should run 24/7 but in given circumstances lack of historical data is PITA).

It is possible - I found BTC trading bot for Chrome browser which initialize itself and download historical data from MtGox.

I also encountered the update issue. I had the next situation happen to me just now:

- Had Bot 1 active trading BTC/USD for several hours. Bot 2 was simply capturing BTC/USD data with a different update timer (doing some benchmarks there).

- Changed Bot 2 to LTC/USD since I saw some interesting movements. The graph did not update, it still displayed BTC/USD with the previous data. Changed timers and nothing changed aswell. Bot 1 was not touched at all during all this period. Some time later (don't know exactly, but more than 20sec. I'd make a wild guess at 1-3min) I find BOTH bots' data reset, which was quite annoying. Bot 2 started displaying the proper graph obviously, but at the cost of resetting Bot 1 when it shouldn't have had. I didn't do the Settings trick to refresh when I changed bot 2 precisely because I didn't want to lose data on Bot 1, so it happened by itself. Hopefully you can reproduce it with this explanation.

Ive reported the same situation (PM to Stephan224). What I can advise - uninstall STB and install again. In my case it helped - I am checking it for whole day and its ok now.
