Re: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency?
by
noxezzhd
on 14/01/2019, 07:08:29 UTC
In any market, there are never tough times for those willing to trade both sides. That being said, I don't consider myself a pro at margin trading. I have known thanks to my research and deep disgust of present financial system that crypto is the future. Back when I invested, I put in a very small amount of fiat which I was always willing to lose. I've also been lucky in the sense that I didn't time my entry into the market but even in the worst of the bear markets, I was never under water so it has always been a numbers game for me without emotions coming into play.

Re: How to make money with bitcoin price dropping?
by

on 14/01/2019, 06:54:17 UTC
That's simple.

You can make money on Bitcoin crashing by shorting it.One way is to “borrow” someones bitcoin and sell it today. You get to keep the money and when the price drops you buy bitcoin at a lower price than you sold it. You then give the person you borrowed the bitcoin from the bitcoin back. You keep the difference the price.

Hodl which basically means hold on for dear life. Most investors bail out by selling their coins and actually suffer the lost. Correction is normal after huge surge in coin price. If you stay calm, you investment will return to normal and perhaps double. Diversifying is key to avoid mistakes. Study the coins and the team behind it and invest rationally

I am sure this is really a good sign, such people don't invest money without 100 % assurance, that they can make a profit on it.

Stragedies wide-used by traders.  Read and enjoy:
- Buy low, sell high.
- No one can win in 100% of cases, so sometimes is ok to lose. - Use mistakes as lessons.
- Fundamental analyses suggest what to buy, and technical analyses show when to buy.
- Don’t trade with only one cryptocurrency.
- Be impartial and consider the market like numbers and not money.
- Start trading with high time-frame and small volumes of trading position to test your strategy

Here are the Top 7 mistakes that I have seen people make over the last years. If you don’t make these mistakes you are already better than 99% of all crypto traders
Being emotional.
Not buying low and selling high.
Making all or nothing buys.
Putting all of their eggs in 1 basket.
Invest more that they can afford to lose.
I am sure after reading this article you will start to try to avoid such mistakes.

I’d suggest looking into Bittrex, Binance and Bitfinex - depending on what alt coin you are selling.

EOS is an interesting project.  Personally, I still believe in the huge potential and importance of EOS for the development of digital society. Therefore, I regularly invest part of my money in the purchase of EOS, while prices remain at a minimum.

Five full time years of hard and smart work, learning the ins and outs, the systems, the ways to approach the problems, the consequences of the decisions, and all of the technical stuff that goes into the process.

Some professions take twice that long. Some professions take half that long.

A lot of it depends on the quality of the instruction, the dedication to the study, and the variety of the experiences that will allow you some perspective.

Re: Stop comparing ETH with BTC!!!!!!!!

Bitcoin was born as a digital currency, to buy goods, but now it appears to be more of a digital asset, like gold is for example.
Ethereum was built as a platform where developers can make applications that utilize the blockchain. Think of it as Wordpress, if you are familiar with it.

I hope that it is now clear that the technology behind Ethereum will have a real world use and change how business operates entirely. Ethereum is also vastly quicker than BTC, average block time being 15 seconds for Ethereum opposed to 10 minutes for BTC. Wink Wink

As I see it, now is a great time to buy bitcoin! or Ethereum or any of the other good cryptos. Bitcoin may even fall a little more.. better still..you will get it for less! When you consider that only between 1 and 2 percent of the world’s population know about and/or use bitcoin, and it is already sitting at $4000!! - that’s pretty amazing. It took 100 years for gold to go from $20 to $1200 an ounce… Bitcoin has only been around for over 7 years.

I see that cryptocurrency market moves in cycles and if you can  understand these cycles it is the key of profiting and managing risk. As Buffet said:" There are two major ways of investing and gaining profit from it. Firstly, Hold more of the things that rise and less of the things that fall. Secondly, try to have more risk exposure when markets rise and less when they fall." So if you want to win in this game try to expand your horizons and knowledge in this realm.

I recommend a few rules for the newbies: 1. study the law of supply and demand, 2. read some articles about when to buy and sell. 3. before buying  a certain coin, make sure that you know about their whipaper, developers and roadmap. 4. follow successful traders on crypto market. 5. read a lot on this forum

I will agree with the rules of the author, but want to add that if you want to earn on it. You should invest a lot of your time and money. Only after these losses, you will have an oppurtunity to make profit!
