Re: Gateless Gate Sharp 1.3.2: Now with memory timing mods and CryptoNight-Heavy!

On a Sapphire Nitro ITX RX570 4G I get instant Blue screen whenever I try to run optimize or Benchmark in Ethash and I get red 0% on Eth/Pascal. All stock bios/speeds Adrenaline drivers, Windows 10 latest updates. And unless I clear the files at /users/"user"/Appdata/Roaming/GatelessGateSharp, whenever I try to reopen the miner, it remembers the last state before the blue screen, starts, optimizing and crashes windows, in an endless loop.
Any idea what's happening?

Any news on any monitoring API?
Its the only reason I am not currently use your wonderful miner. I would love to contribute to your dev fee but I am running 4 remote machines and without a monitor app, I cannot rely on pool's emails, if a rig works or not.

Yeah, probably, but next time they will mine since I attached a simple mining server to claymore's default ports!! Please hack me and make me rich!!

I had the ports open from my second router, to monitor the rigs while I was adding a new router with 4G support for redundancy, and was still configuring ports for my Personal VPN through the mobile network, when the alarm set of.
I had different attacks from China and Russia over the last week, but today was directly to the mining port, scanning and trying to reboot. Thankfully I am on a simple dynamic IP setup so I can easy change IP with a simple restart.

I just had a reboot attempt from http://211.57.159.226 from Korea.
Be very careful with your remote ports and be sure to only be read only, or protect you mining machines with a prety strong password. This http://211.57.159.226 bitch tried to reboot the machine several times. It was pretty easy though to spot him and plant a simple surprise, so he wont be trying that stuff to me anytime soon.

Are you going to implement a web monitor of some kind so we can check our rigs? Or is it already implemented and I completely missed that?
The only reason we still use claymore is the monitoring features.

Really want to start using this miner regularly and I appreciate the work, but on my Mini ITX 1060s I get less than 15-17Mhs  max on ethereum when I usually get 19.7 on ethminer and I cannot raise the threads, or I get constant errors. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
Right now I am at intensity 1000 and Local worksize at 128 with max speeds at 17.2

Edit: upped the intensity to 2000 and the Local worksize to 256 and got 18.4.

When intel APU is enabled on the system the miner crashes.
Any fix in the near future?

Your Intel APU should be ignored by GGS. Is it listed by GGS?

It's listed as Device #0 Intel HD Graphics

Got 4 of them in 2 h110 boards. They needed 1200 PSU and all summer they throttled down to 22Mhs each. 2 XFX and 2 Sapphire cards. Sapphire got better thermals but all of them got to 30Mh/s with 1090 core and 1300 memory. But... on open air rigs, they manage to melt all 4 PCI riser SATA connectors, and all of the 8pins. I was using push/pull SP120 fans on all the rads, but the cards could not stay below 72-73 at best. The 120 rad is way too small for the dissipated heat. I now kept 1 of them, watercooled with custom waterblock, added a 240 rad and the card is working grat at 56-57 max temp.

I would not recommend using risers with low AWG cabling, and for sure do not use the SATA connection. Use 6pin power for the risers.
Also cool the backplate of the cards with as cool air as you can, or else you are going to burn the 8pin power connectors in a matter of days, rendering the card almost useless, unless you want to use custom wiring soldered to the cards.

1150 socket  Asrock H81 Pro BTC 2.0
για να υποστηριξει 6 nvidia χρειαζεται cpu skylake
και οι 1150 βγαινουν μεχρι kaby lake
είναι θέμα αρχιτεκτονικης cpu

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaby_Lake
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skylake_(microarchitecture)

οσο και αν προσπαθησα με cpu kaby lake δεν ειδα πανω απο 4

trexo 3 miner me 7gpu kai ena me 6gpu 0la me skylake epexergasti

Όταν λες δεν είδες πάνω από 4 θες να μας δώσεις τα φώτα σου, για τις ρυθμίσεις που είχες στο Bios, OS, Kernel Version, Driver Versions κτλ;
Πόσο καλά καταρτισμένος είσαι στο τι είναι τα PCI Lanes και πως διαμοιράζονται από CPU και PCH μέσα από το BIOS και το OS?

Hi guys,

I have been trying to build my first rig, i am having troubles running claymore with 5 gpus, everytime i try one random gpu fails and the miner restarts....
windows 10 recognizes the 5 cards
with 4 gpus it works fine ,
any idea of what it could be?
i am running 4 rx570 BIOS mod  with windows 10 and  asrock h81 pro btcr2.0

Any idea of what it could be?

Probably PSU issue. Not related to Claymore so open another thread and give us some details on what kind of Bios Mod, if you're Dual mining, what kind of PSU, what cards etc.

Try if you want to change the memory/GPU clock from Wattman (AMD settings) and see if you see any improvement on the hashrate before you go back to any previous drivers. That way we could compare and see any improvement on the driver's DAG issue

You have output video on your cards or your internal gpu?

This is my test bench machine with 1 GPU only. The output is directly from my GPU HDMI.

So besides that AfterBurner issue, what is your experience concerning the EPOCH hashrate drop? Did they fixed that on the current driver?

I managed to overclock my card to 2000, but I haven't restarted the miner since, so I may have a lock screen on DAG generation. I cannot confirm yet since I am away and playing with teamviewer, so if the PC freezes I won't be able to restart it. Still waiting for my smartplug from Amazon. This is not bad but I do not think this is a DAG resolving release. I was at 27.3 before, I am at 27.5 now but with 50Mhz more in memory clock, that could be the only factor raising my Hashrate. I would not recommend this release yet, since without Afterburner, I cannot check the same settings and be definite about any opinion.

Claymore and Wolf0 should be the ones to really answer this question, since they have the real means to test bench this release.

New drivers screw up MSI Afterburner. Anyone tried them?

I had 27Mh/s on MSI rx470 Gaming X 4Gb, with 1100/1950.
Same settings through AMD Wattman give me 25.2Mh/s Max

Edit: I upped memory at 2000 and core at 1200 with wattman and got back to 27.3. Still AfterBurner sees nothing.

I would like to ask a question regarding R and RX version of simplemining OS. I have a rig with one 295x2 along with 7 x 470. I just saw on AMD's latest drivers that they support both generations with their latest AMDGPU-Pro driver. Isn't there a way to use both generation cards with simplemining?

Re: Radeon 295x2 Mining set up

My Rig has:
3 Sapphire rx470 Reference at 27Mh/s
1 XFX Black Edition rx470 at 26.5Mh/s
1 XFX 295x2 at 31+31.5Mh/s
on an MSI 270-A Pro with 4Gb Ram
The XFX needed a Fan on the Back for the VRMs and 2 x SP120 fans for the Radiator, Push/Pull, plugged to the motherboard and set at constant 100% Speed.
I had to undervolt through AB
Core Voltage at -70mV for GPU0 and -75mV for GPU1
Core at 1100
Memory at 1350-1400
And it still hovers around 71-72 degrees.
Next step would be to change the VRM Thermal Pads.

I have build another 3 x 295x2 rig with 1 XFX and 2 Sapphire. Same exact throttling problem, but only for the XFX, since I couldn't undervolt more than 60-65mV without crashing GPU0 every 3-4 hours. Sapphires are working like beasts at the same settings, without throttling and with -100mV

I never found any Bios for straps or Undevolt for any of them. I could surelly use one!!
