@Droopy
Introducing Paycoinable - Offering Gift Cards for XPY
Quote
As the owner of Paycoinable, I wanted to open this thread to explain my project, and to allow everyone a way to ask me questions, and provide us with feedback. You can check it out here: https:/paycoinable.com

First off, let me apologize to everyone living outside the US. Unfortunately, we are not currently shipping outside the US. Gift cards are specialized to the region. Most gift cards that are purchased in the US can only be used in the US, and those merchants with more liberal policies still leave it up to the individual stores in other regions whether or not to accept a gift card. So paycoinable is US-only to begin with.

Paycoinable is a XPY-only store that offers a painless way to purchase gift cards for yourself or others. We offer physical gift cards from many popular merchants.

Our initial offering:

Restaurants - Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, SubWay and others
Coffee - Starbucks
Retailers - Best Buy, Lowe's
Entertainment - Regal Cinemas (and UA Theatres)
Yes it is modest, but I already have more brands and more gift cards on the way. Hopefully there will be something for everybody really soon.

If you happen to do the math, you may notice that your paycoins have been given a little boost. This 5% boost is designed to generate a little demand for paycoins, and maybe for us as well.

So, how does paycoinable work?

Add your gift cards to the shopping cart
At the end of the checkout process, send your paycoins through coinpayments gateway
Your order will be processed and shipped usually within 24 hours
USPS will deliver your order in approximately 3 - 10 business days
Finally, thank you to all of you who have offered up encouragement and suggestions, and also to all of those who have already visited our store.

Cheers,
Jonathan

any chance you could unlock mine please? user cronnof. thanks for the btclend warning btw, luckily i didnt link to coinbase, ugh.

Unlocked.

i just logged into my zencloud account to see my negative balance and was greeted with a message stating an update or change log or something like that had taken place. so is someone actually maintaining zencloud or is someone just giving people access and these messages are like the twitter thanks for buying a hashlet ghost messages?

It is being "maintained" clearly as the 2FA was changed from Authy to Google Auth when authy ceased working (likely due to non-payment).  Why do you have a negative balance?
so is the "maintainer" doing updates as the message implies? the update just mentioned about the market not 2fa.

I have no idea.  I have not seen whatever message you are talking about so I also have no point of reference.

Could you please unlock nssminer, thanks in advance.

On the Account Details Page, you could make "Unconfirmed" a link to an "Unconfirmed Stats/Ledger Page" that contained:

[Block Number] [Date & Time] [Your GH/TH/s] [Your Shares] [Your Score] [Your Payout] [Confirmed On] [Next Block Payout]

Have it like the other ledgers so that you can view "BTC", "NMC" and "Both".

The instant payout feature, for this info, no, it is for instant "pay" not instant "knowledge". I can wait for the coin and am glad to. But when calculating future hardware purchases/rentals on a shift/spot basis I need to know what my last drop made me and now. All the above stats are already on the systems, shouldn't be to big a stretch to make a page that displays them.

I'm with Fahlcor on this too, I miss the "expected payout", again this data is on the system, and in real time, or how the heck would the system know what to pay us per block concerning the last 10 shifts.

                                            [Next Block Payout]
{This is what you done the last 10 shifts, so this is what to expect} and it updates every shift.

A big thanks to everyone who posted their thoughts on page contents! If you have any more, keep them coming.

I wasn't sure if there would be much response, so this was totally awesome to see. It's a big motivation to keep improving the pool.

That's a lot of useful feedback. I'll be re-reading it and thinking about it for a bit.

The critical issue I need to fix first is the shifts page. A question mark lead some miners to believe the pool was broken. "Being paid now" had a lot of people believing payouts were taken place at that moment. And I still have to explain to two people (on average) per day that coins come in when we find blocks, and the latest 10 shifts are special because that's where those coins land.

I'm considering replacing the text on the 10 latest shifts with one of these:
  • searching for blocks
  • still eligible for pay
  • (your idea here)

I think maybe "searching for blocks" could convey both that blocks are where coins come from and that this shift could still earn more coins.

Any thoughts?

I'm considering replacing the text on the 10 latest shifts with one of these:

    searching for blocks
    still eligible for pay
    (your idea here)       "Still Open"
(For the paid shifts)  "Closed: 0.00118732"

Wow...

catching up on this drama makes me feel better TripleHeXXX got out before accusations started flying our way.

TripleHeXXX were developing a multipool for CAC for FREE as it seemed like a coin with a good community, based on posts I could see it looked like I was not doing it fast enough for them (even though I stated we were really busy due to the release of the TripleHeXXX exchange) and they had found some one else, I asked many times if this was the case and was just ignored.

Not to mention how rude they were about the official pool, TripleHeXXX also setup the official CAC pool for them for FREE even though it would be in direct competition to our own pool, then they start posting shit like "Mine on the official pool and use TripleHeXXX as a backup" WTF steal all our users after all the work I have done for CAC, just rude

Our company is made up of more than me and I have been under pressure form my colleagues though all this, but I was trying to assure them its going to be good, But I can no longer convince them on the viability of CAC.

This is why TripleHeXXX will have nothing to do with CAC in the future, the way the devs of the coin are treating people trying to help is appalling.

I'm not here to try derail the thread or coin, just letting everyone know TripleHeXXX's position to the unfolding situation

Good luck with the coin.

Right If one I trust then it is this man here from triple.
I can't get hold of DEV and with all this crap going on I decided to pull from this coin.
Which means:
1.) I will stop funding the server
2.) As of tomorrow the pool I will have shut down. For this I will contact the service provider where the pool is hosted.
3.) My offer stands on those who have coins stuck on the pool. Let me know and i personally fund your coins. For this i have already pulled a list from the server but there are still a few people who have not send me a PM with username and CAC address.

so...
Server is shut down now.
I still have not heard from DEV

nsminer you had a little over 1500CAC stuc on pool so 2000 send

I still see a few more on the list so PM me

Thank you!

It's just the recent luck;

I follow a pool that has only 800-900T/h and they have tapped 5 coins in the last 3 days, with that said my equipment is mining on bitminter. Why? over the months I have been tracking both sites, bitminter pays me more then the mentioned above pool.

I'll take the extra shares for now  Grin

Got my Air Drop coins and after a chit-chat with the DEV on Skype every thing checks out and I promised him I would ditch the negative attitude and begin constructive criticism. Lets start with a CAC/LTC market since there seems to be a 1SAT sell wall on SWISSCEX. Maybe increasing the bounties to get more pool owners drawn in to run CAC on there servers.

Another notch at strengthening my faith in this coin. It's been slow going...but it's going. As I have stated before, long term. The 1 sat wall will eventually fall; personally this months surplus went to hardware, adding 4 ANT S1's to line up, or I would own most of that 240mil sitting on SWISSCEX  Cool

Give it time all, and stay active by doing what you can, what ever that may be? Write an article, post in blogs, tell your neighbor....

The coin needs a bit of money....it takes coin, to make a coin.....LOL...California is introducing legislation concerning Crypt-Currencies. It might be a good idea to find out whom in office, (specially from your local office), is supporting the movement and write them letters shedding some light on CAC. It may open up some opportunities, I feel this is would be extremely worth while for Californians and the CAC community as a whole in terms of exposure.

Make it easy....copy and paste

I feel the adoption of Crypt-Currencies such as California Coin to California’s economy, can and will be a very beneficial decision for all who participate.

I'm getting a wallet corrupt salvage failed error and need help to fix it I will offer a 10k bounty to whoever gets the wallet fixed and running for me i spent alot of time mining california coins because i believe in them and invested in the voting at swisscex so please someone help me

I am not a pro with wallets by any means but I found this to try and manually salvage your wallet:

Quote
You need to run the client with the -salvagewallet command-line option which moves any existing wallet.dat to wallet.[timestamp].dat and then attempts to salvage public/private keys and master encryption keys (if the wallet is encrypted) into a new wallet.dat. Once you have your keys in place you can import them into a fresh copy of bitcoin and recover your balance.

If you are running windows you can create a shortcut to your wallet, go to the shortcut's properties: in the Target line add a space to the end of the line and then add -salvagewallet

Then run the wallet via the shortcut....

This might help also:
https://github.com/jackjack-jj/pywallet
If this is the only copy, the last alternative is to use pywallet to scan the file for any private keys. A command line may be:

python pywallet.py --recover --recov_device C:\badwallet.dat --recov_size 10MB --recov_outputdir C:\foundkeys

Hope this helps.....if it does keep your coins....no bounty needed.....Please just post your results (what finally worked) in detail, to help out anyone else that may run into this issue.

Selling all my coins for 1 Satoshi each. If anyone wants it let me know otherwise I'll put them up on Swiss for easy pickings.

why sell now?
keep them for later

Because he's an idiot and doesn't realize this is just the beginning of a long successful coin.

Hell if he wants to sell cheap lets encourage it I'll buy up your coins & hold them for six months I bet you he will feel like an idiot later.

Once the profit-switching-multipool is here this coin will skyrocket into the tippy top. How long will it stay is the question, but there's gonna be good money to be made off this one for SURE I wouldn't have invested 1 BTC if I didn't feel that way.

The thing about coins is they all start off as failures no merchants no exchanges with time but mainly with the support of a solid community which we happen to have, progress is made, and success is right around the corner.

Again continue to sell you coins for keep I'll gobble them up already bought 50,000,000+ PM me with your silly offers any day.

Calling me an idiot is a bit unnecessary. This coin has so far provided no innovation. The thread is mostly "KEEP VOTING, VOTE OR DIE" posts and has a much smaller community then I think you would like to believe. There is no marketing hype for this coin nor is there any real point to it. Of course I will dump what I can when I can. If i can make .1 BTC off of this then I come out ahead in the mining game.

Good luck holding onto your CAC. I hope for your sake it does skyrocket in value and you can sell it and be RICH, but let's be honest; that is NOT going to happen. (In any case, if it does I will be rich because I still have millions... millions... and millions.)

I agree, Idiot is strong...people invest and reap their personal rewards as they see fit, selling CAC so early may end up being foolish, but "coming out ahead" anyway you look at it is a plus. I bought National Tire in the 90's as penny stock, happy as hell to sell at $1.68, "came out way ahead"......only to watch it grow to $24.87 in the next 18mo before being absorbed by a larger recycling company.

I also agree that there is a lot of "Keep Voting" posts and after looking, I also have to agree that the community action here in this forum gives a bit of a "larger than life feel"....for the time being. Out of all the coins I have mined, this is the third, maybe fourth, "coin forum" I have posted in. Forum population is not a great feeler, goal orientated activity being more so (forum related or otherwise), and CAC has it. Early on I watch the diff and the DEV and CAC's diff ramp has been a very nice, steady slope, at quick glance it does not equal (not even close) the forum population ramp...Which leaves me to feel people are learning of CAC by other means than this forum. The recent ramp increase (bouncing in the 30's) due to the exposure on SwissCEX. As I don't see new population in this forum to account for it?

When it comes to the "this thread is mostly this....or mostly that" ....it falls on results, and the result was success, the population was pushing towards a goal and they achieved it...To add weight to the 30 some pages of the "vote or die campaign", the Dev put his/her BTC were his/her mouth is to back the communities goals. In this day of "pick the daily coin, which DEV will be there tomorrow"?, that says a bit. Also momentum has moved on to ask, what is next? All of the above being, in my opinion, a plus for CAC.

Reasons that keep me highly interested in CAC are not beaches, sunny weather and good cannabis, though Cali has all of that and then some. I am Senior Lead Field Engineer in the POS/Vault/ATM/MoneyGram (Point of Sale) industry. New city every week, haven't worked my home state in two years. In the last 16 years, if it was used to transfer funds between consumer and retail/wholesale/bank, I've pretty much played with it, in one way or another. I have been involved with pilot runs for about 11 years, (literally name the company) and I've probably set up POS for them.

California is always included in "New Tech Pilot Runs", if the company has Cali locations. They will host pilots in other states (specially headquarter states), but companies really like to test the waters with new POS tech in Cali. Even over NYC (NYC and L.A. are the largest retailers in the U.S.), why do they want to test in Cali? Cali has an astounding Currency Adaption Rate, so says NCR the largest POS company in the world. If it makes sense, if it works, and security is "good enough/FIAT Currencies" or better, Californians will run it. Therefore I see "consumer crypt currency keys" being the norm in Cali sooner than other states.

The California Government also has crypt-currencies on the legalization docket. Lets stop right there, pause and think..........Yep, sorry Cali, taxes. Denmark, no taxes on crypt-currencies, The Den Gov stated "crypt-currencies are not real currency, hence no taxes". Well California intends to make them very real....LOL. Though taxes are hell, its good for CAC. What does this mean, some might say with legalization with come taxation. With taxation comes infrastructure, with infrastructure comes dependability and trust. Whatever the case, the California Government is intending some kind of future with crypt-currencies and with that we have this lil' thing that's already in the works called California Coin that can introduce a 16b point (points will be as the may) tax base to the state of Cali with little to no effort. This guarantees nothing for CAC I understand, but none of it is bad for CAC either.

Last but not least, the people of Cali make stuff happen, they just do. With the last six years of spending the better part of the year in Cali, I do not at all underestimate the pride of Californians. They have a coin and I have faith the people will see it prosper. It is going to take time to get merchants, but I believe they will come.

Back to the coin, the DEV is working, it takes time and money. The forum has haters, but no true "red flag" complaints and it feels fairly positive. See, some have had the taste of turnkey coin success, nice trading value and a place to trade, merchants to purchase goods, games, gambling, fancy apps.....you name it....oh lets not forget the 8mo crash and burn(good while it lasted coins). CAC, when successful, will be a grassroots, bottom-up, started in the garage with a loan from granny coin, which if you know Cali is about as fitting as it gets. A very long term coin for me, I am in mine/buy mode so who ever has been selling those CAC for a sat....Thanks!

1 satoshi... lol

lol that's how everything starts out look @ Dogecoin in december
Dogecoin was never at 1 satoshi, not even close. Starting at 1 satoshi is a bad sign.

Not to mention there's only 0.0001 BTC of buy orders at 1 satoshi, so you could argue that California Coin is actually worthless at this point. Too much of it was given out for free.

Yes, but DogeCoin has done nothing but fall from it's open...How far off is doge from it's .00000170 open? It's worth less then a third of what it opened at......DogeCoin was a Miners success at the gates open...but continues to fall...not much incentive to hold.....maybe it's just me but......I like my coins to grow in value....
