I suspect they're doing a few tests, to make sure that everything is working correctly at the moment.

Right now, yeah, but just in general, it seems like there's been more visitors recently than normal. Not necessarily people going on camera, but just visitors.

6" wafer it looks like.  Probably built in an academic fab.  It's strange that the wafers have flats on 2 sides, that isn't standard.  I have a list of all operating fabs somewhere.  I seem to remember that there isn't anything below 130 nm running on 6" wafers except for an IBM MEMs research facility in Switzerland.

Given the tiny die size, and the large transistor node I find the 2.5 GH/s implication very unlikely.

If someone has some serious photoshop skills it would be interesting to see what all the writing is on the opposite side of the tag.

Is this the list you're looking for? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_semiconductor_fabrication_plants

c'mon guys, only BTC52202 to $13370133701337.00

Even with the price and volume increase, total asks increased to BTC60183.

What does it all mean? Huh Huh Huh

In two years time the fx rate could easily be $200 based upon growth seen in the previous two years.
So, does buying at $44 look cheap to the long-term investor?

I get why new money is coming in, I don't get where/why the increased coin is coming from.

not much is coming and that is why we are flying up...

People who bought cheaply, maybe at $2 are taking a huge profit. The increased price is bringing coins out of cold storage
$46 now. It is mental!

As someone who got in at $5 10 months ago, this is true. I'm getting a bit of a kick out of this.

The CPU for a mining rig largely doesn't matter. You'll be getting(by far, most likely) most of your hash rate from the GPU's. If you have to choose between a GPU and upgrading the CPU, choose the GPU.

Bitcoin auctions mostly

I've also done some mining, but have only been able to net about .1-.15 from that(I only have a laptop, with a nVidia card in it), as well as things such as CoinWorker and the faucet(not recently, the last time I got something from the faucet was a while ago).

Yeah, the only benefit of doing this I could think of would be as a conversation peice. I mean, you may be able to get say, 500 KHashes/sec(and that's being extremely optimistic- the mining hardware page says only about 200 is to be expected), but still, that's unbelievably slow all things considered. But hey, I'm not going to stop you. It'd be entertaining in the sense of a 'screw it, we're doing this' sense.
