they can and will coexist for some time.
this is all very dynamic, so we can see a complete turnover to other coins, even not LTC

if there is to create a plan to make the BTC price stable, I think it's doable (or with other coins).
but like this, in wich a dDos atack can lower the price that easily, i don't think it's possible

it has to coexist, both currencies.

you have to pay taxes in "real money", so in that time you have to convert math based coins to that.
it is of limited use.

However, governments can think of this as an improvement for their representation of coins, in the future.

also, ripple for example allows all the coins to co-exist.
