Did these things go from $300 to $799 ?

Yes but the hashrate is double. The fan is bigger, it draws a bit more power. It's a double the machine for double + premium the price.

I did talk to them tonight and although I wasn't really too satisfied with the answers I got I have a slightly better indication of what is going on now. I believe, based on me pressing him pretty hard, that there will be a new batch that is available for us to purchase. That being said don't quote me on that since he was still rather vague. He said that they literally cannot keep up with the demand for the units due to the explosion of the price of Dash. As far as building a GPU rig and comparing it to the Baikal Mini.... That is like comparing apples to oranges. Different algorithms and currencies hash at drastically different rates and also GPU rigs are far more difficult than the plug and play nature of ASICS.

Thx for reply...I was just trying to get a rough idea...would I need 10 of the higher end gpu's to achieve 150 mg/h. I know it likely sounds nuts what I'm asking...nevertheless I'm searching and reading as I'm posting this.

You could build a 5-6 GPU system that would get you 150mh/s mining on the Ethereum network. X11 isn't as efficient on GPU as Digger Hashimoto, you'd be much better off mining ETH and converting through NH an exchange to get your Dash. Keep in mind that system may run ~1200w, a far cry from Baikal's amazing wattage.

Patience, nobody wants to hear that, but you don't pop out miners like toasters unless you somehow anticipated this massive run up in the price of the coins that are mined.  I am sure Baikal is caught just as flat footed on this as everyone else.

I am sure they are scrambling trying to get more miners built and in a large enough volume to meet the demand.  And at the same time they have to worry that if they place a massive order to only have the price of the coins to collapse and then they are left holding the bag for miners they cannot sell.  This is a tough spot to be in if you think about it.

I agree. The conspiracy theories are getting ridiculous. They JUST had some in stock about 2 weeks ago, I ordered at the end of February and received in March., They ran out, they are producing more. Baikal has done nothing so far to lower confidence in them. They are obviously overwhelmed.

Have patience. The FOMO you guys have is ridiculous.

The key is adding value in your market. What is something that you and your customers may need the most in the placeyou are at. Take advantage of that need and you shall succeed.

Ethereum has a use in the market as a platform for building from, so it is a "thing" for a lot of people. If you're building a platform off the technology of blockchain, it seems a good place to start. For the next big thing, I would look at up and comers that are doing something new.

They cornered the market on Google search results, so it's a shame they're not in stock on miners. They should be more clear about what's in stock.

I ordered directly from Baikal and got it in less than a week, faster than some eBay orders I placed! I recommend just ordering by emailing them if you're looking for X11.

Re: baikalminer.com or www.baikalminer.com 2 sites?

So I wanted to buy the baikal ASIC miner to mine Dash, but I don't think I can really trust this site/company because they have 2 identical sites with the same URL... wtf?!
Try typing baikalminer.com and www.baikalminer.com 2 different sites and you get what I'm saying. Wherein the 1st link I can't even create an account to buy the miner but in the 2nd I can't buy the miner without even creating an account.
This seems pretty sketchy to me...
Any feedback from this/these sites?

the first one is their old site, the new one where you should order is http://www.baikalminer.com/.

But I can't order from that site since It won't let me login or create a new account.

Successfully registered from the site http://www.baikalminer.com/register.asp?action=yes with Chrome. Don't know what is your problem.

I can register... what I can't do is log in after I registered, I'm also using chrome. I tried registering another account and still don't receive any confirmation email from baikalminer part.

Same thing for me, unable to login after I've created an account . Getting no emails for sign up or recovery. I've contacted their email address for help.

You can easily order from them via e-mail or skype. You dont need to register at their website. I had a long conversation with them via e-mail and ordered everything there. Just say how many units you want and they will help you. Shipping adress and payment goes via mail aswell. You can ask them anything you want related to their hardware and they will reply in an orderly fashion. They are the most helpful mining hardware selling company out there...

Would like to note for everyone that though I was not able to use their website, they wee able to help me very promptly by the email listed on their site. They do not have any Quadruple Miners in stock at the moment, but I was able to order an A900 Giant. They mentioned it would ship within 3 business days.
