If you like privacy coins then Sumokoin is a good Cryptonote based coin with 12+1 mixin. They recently changed their PoW algo to CryptoNight-heavy, making is ASICs resistant and decreased the effectiveness of CPU mining(anti-botnet). Combine that with their innovative difficulty algorithm it's a great coin to mine. Added more devs, like Fireice_UK(xmr-stak dev). Just released Lite wallet and web wallet around the corner. Good project dedicated to decentralization, privacy, anonymity and fungibility.

Need some government, but only in the sense that they Facilitate infrastructure and safety to it's citizens within their own borders. Too many governments are exceeding their mandate on behalf of the few and have breached the social contract entrusted to them by their citizens. The banking system, as it is today, is another tool for the few and I sincerely mean that we need a decentralised system of payment that's not controlled by anyone.  

Sadly many fell for overhyped shitcoins and the market is still struggling with the cash they gained, because even though they are shit, they have money for listings and thus perpetuating the shit.

Nah, too many scams, that perpetuate their scams by raising money in advance, based on the fancy website and the story they tell.

ICOs are rarely, if ever, solid projects. So many of them are marketed hypetrains that promise the world and more. It's sad that real projects drowns in their hype and that these dubious ICOs gets millions and thus the funds to perpetuate their scam, trough advertising and Exchange listings.

Sounds all well and good, but the first ones out will benefit a great deal more then the late arrivals. The people that already has a lot of coins will be able to run service nodes that gives them even more?  What's the minimum now btw?

Seems like a weird setup to me, just because it's a non profit, does not mean no member of the Foundation profits. I imagine they have already set themselves up really good. The project team basically does most the work and there's a few that are the deciders.

The website is running on a continuous loading loop for me. Just as everything is in it's place, it refreshes. This does not happen on other sites.

Yes, it's normal. You download the blockchain locally to sync the GUI wallet and it's about that size. You could always try the Lite wallet so you sync with a remote node instead.

Yes, I see they have gone for a Masternode system similar to Dash. Do you think that's a good thing? Not that many are capable of running a masternode and will give the few a very nice RoI.  

Very interesting setup of governance. If the Project team is the face of the coin, who are in the Foundation and how are they selected?

The Loki website is in a infinite loop... and what about them incentivized service nodes aka masternodes? How does that fit with decentralization?
