Re: ▉ANN▉ MTNC ▉▉▉▉░ Masternodecoin ░▉▉▉ Multiple Privacy Center Platform

on 24/04/2018, 08:42:21 UTC
Made all the instructions mentioned above and lost 85% of my MTNC that was in the wallet long before. Currently, it shows only coins, that I`ve got for the March and April 2018(((
What I`ve done wrong and how I can restore my MTNC?

Thanks for helping in advance.

P.S. In the History column all old transactions are mentioned but only that not minted are green and in the balances they are not visible(((

Have you checked your balance on blockchain explorer? What it shows?

Block Explorer 1 from the OP shows the correct amount of    2265.0906 MTNC)
Block Explorer 2 doesn`t show me any result - it seems that search doesn`t work properly there.

So, what have I to do to get the right number of the MTNC in wallet balances?

Would anyone help me to restore my MTNC in the new wallet? They are shown in the explorer but I can`t see them in the wallet(

I have MTNC. please do they have telegram group? Or discord channel? My mtnc is still on cryptopia. I need to transfer it. I need someone to ask some questions. Please I need some real help from the community. Thanks.

Re: TMAN'S guide to getting merit.
by

thanks for sending over the merit hunters, you dick.

Just kidding.

Thanks for the kudos and the plug, sir! Cheesy

I don't mind taking in the bounty and merit hunters. I spend a lot of time critiquing their posts, and I really hope that they do take the criticism well and apply it.

For everyone reading this, TMAN is right. Although I've done it in the past, I rarely merit [non-technical] posts that are poorly constructed. While a lot of people complain that it's not fair that non-native English speakers have a disadvantage here, you have to remember that this forum is an English-speaking forum. No one is forcing them to be here, and there are no "rights" as a member here. Simply stated, you have to adhere to the rules and policies of the forums, not the other way around. Bitcointalk does not have to cater to you. Being here is a privilege, not a right. Same with bounties and campaigns.

So it's only fair that many OG members of the forums here are going to frown upon third-world posters who make very little effort to "fit in". Fitting in is definitely possible, as I have made friends with a few users here that caught me by surprise when I learned that English was not their first language.

With that, moving to and living in a third-world country myself, I have encountered a lot of ESL people. They ask me to help teach them proper English, and for the ones with smart phones and computers, I point them towards duolingo. They make it EXTREMELY easy to start learning English for 5 minutes a day. I think that 5 minutes is a minor investment of time to make in order to brush up your skills.

Give them a shot. It's free.

https://www.duolingo.com/course/en/ar/Learn-English-Online

Thanks for posting this, TMAN.

It's hard handing out merits to total unknowns, the worst are the ones who use far too many words thinking that makes it a quality post.

Mate good luck with your project hope it takes off man

I'm now very confused. How does ranking now work?  Is it by merits and no longer activities? I really need to know this please.

TMAN if you wouldn't mind, please I'll like to have a private chat with you. Thanks.

Re: Merit & new rank requirements
by

I think merit should be removed, and default red trusting restored to people like Lauda, ATH, ThePharmacist etc.

There are countless posts made everywhere, especially topics tens of pages long, that are good quality and are not merited. The system of meriting every good quality post is an impossible one.

Rather, once a shitposter is identified, they can have their account permanently flagged as was the case before. I found the former system to be much more effective. Putting EVERYTHING the way it was before will just generally be better for everyone, and still discourage shitposting due to the "one time red flag" nature of things.

ThePharmacist already said that he will review his negative trust based on "shitposter" tag, even theymos stated that giving negative trust based on other's low capabilities on talking english is kinda wrong and you want to against the flow now? If the system is back to the past system, then it would be hard to tag the shitposter because of theymos' statement, but with merit, shitposter can not rank up and they tend to cheat the merit system thus if they are identified cheating, they will be tagged. In my opinion this system is better in discouraging shitposting.

You see, with the old system a lot of the Hero/Legendary accounts now that are bought/sold and are owned by teams of shitposters in sweatshops will never be flagged. The old system flagged them. It's discouraging for a lot of people to put in the effort when you can see a lot of low quality high rank accounts that are obviously bought/sold that never would have gained the free grandfathered merit naturally. If ranking up is going to be this difficult, then let's make it so for everyone.

Sometimes, some new rules are made to favour some people. I prefer the old system though it has its own flaws. We all know early birds are the luckiest in everything. The newbies and those working their way up have to be more strict. What if this merits are given to people who don't merit it?

Re: Merit - internal currency of bitcointalk.org forum

Thank you. yes this is good system but not for a forum in such condition. This system had to be like this from very start. And now it is circus when youngsters who entered forum 6 months before me teach me how to live because they are Hercules Members.

I highlighted and will answer the only part written in a form of English that is understandable.

It would have been good if this system was implemented from the start but it wasn't needed then as this forum was used by Bitcoin enthusiasts to meet and discuss relevant issues. Over the years there has been an influx of people that have heard they can make money from posting here. They mostly have no interest in Bitcoin and have nothing to discuss about it. Merit has effectively closed the door for more of these people to come here and pollute this forum. Your only resentment is that you arrived too late.

Maybe we all should read the white paper as to why this forum was created. I haven't visited here for a while and I was surprised to see the Merit added to my profile.

If the merits is to root-out spammers, then it is a welcome development. Steem is trying so hard to fight spammers too, but they are still there. I hope this works, even though I'm still trying to fully understand what This Merits fully represent.

I have more than 200 followers, but I'm not receiving any upvotes and views. Question is - are more follower bots?
The problem is not in followers but in you, you can find me as clixmoney on steemit, I have more than 4000 followers, but I still receive less than $1 upvotes, but never 0, you know why ? because I am active in the community, I reply everyone, I comment a lot, I do contests and giveaways, I record video, I invite people to steemit, I came with ideas very useful to steemit, you just have to do the same and don't forget about other social media, when I write a post I always share it in facebook, twitter, and reddit and even likendin. So just be active, you can also join communities and we have a lot of them, for example I have also a big community and you can join it, we care about resteems and also give upvotes. So just keep steeming, never give up and everything will be ok. ☺

That is it. Steemit will somehow find hard work and reward it. Just that some people don't have enough patience to work their way up. Steemit is not too easy, but it is worth it. I love steemit.

Re: Urgent Reply pls. Bittrex & Blockchain.info will they support the upcoming Fork?
by

I have my bitcoin both on bittrex and blockchain.info, will they support the upcoming forks and give me the free coins? If they would not, where would you suggest I move my coins to?  Thanks as you respond.

Blockchain.info will inderectly give you an option to have "free coins" from any future fork. Blockchain.info give you the option to export your private keys (this is done by giving you some random words - mnemonic seed). With this seed you can generate your private keys afterwoeds with private keys you can claim any future split/fork if it occurs. But please read first about private keys and understand the risk when you play with them, try to do it on an offline enviroment - if you ask me I'd chose some live CD OS in an offline mode for security.

Honestly I don't know about bittrex but it is not ADVISED TO KEEP YOUR COINS ON EXCHANGES - keep in mind this. Why you ask? Simply because you don't have the right to your private keys which means coins are not yours.

Also depends if any wallet provider will add support to forks. I know about coinomi that they supported all hard forks till now (can read even their posts on medium about claiming them if you used coinomi https://medium.com/@coinomi) although they are only available for android.

Another widley used wallet - exodus for instace don't support bitcoin gold now, although since you have your private keys with exodus you can extract them and import to one wallet that supports bitcoin gold same applies to another popular multi coin wallet jaxx...

So yeah just use an wallet that provides you with private keys, I personally love electrum for bitcoin as it provides many features and gives me the ability to see my private keys so I can in future, if needed, to "claim free coins from hard forks" if they ever happen.

Thank you very much for this reply. I will try to generate my private keys from blockchain.info. I never knew they give private keys.

I was previously trading on Bitterex until they brought up the verification issue. But I still recommend them as the best exchangers for trading. I'm looking out for some decentralized exchanges good enough for trading. However, you must know that all exchanging sites are risky.

Re: Russia, India & China prepare to BAN bitcoin?
by
ogoowinner
on 14/11/2017, 01:47:35 UTC
Last few month, there a rumors these 3 countries prepare to ban bitcoin.
Someone told me they started to suppress bitcoin and other cryptocurrency to let their citizen know and start selling bitcoin to avoid bigger lost.
They started with ban exchanges, ICO and other strict rule...

I have believe in bitcoin but with recent development, i'm really worried if this countries ban bitcoin.
Lot small countries already ban bitcoin.
Even CME Futures plan to launch bitcoin product, it almost impossible if SEC will allow CME. They definitely will not allow it happen.

What do you think? How long until bitcoin fully banned?

The Chinese are wise and I don't think they will completely ban Bitcoin. They may impose some restrictions, but not a total ban. As for Russia and India, I don't know what their decision may be. However, Bitcoin has come to say and will not be totally banned all over the world. More companies are beginning to accept it as a means of payment.

Re: How I can make money with cryptocurrencies?

on 17/10/2017, 01:36:32 UTC
Hello guys,
How are you everybody?
I am very interested to know about how to make real money with cryptocurrencies. Can anyone help me please?

Thanks

I am fine, And you?
It's good to interest about cryptocurrencies. If you want to make money from cryptocurrency so you can do the trade. Trading is the best way for making money from cryptocurrency. Trading is an investment. You can get a lot of resources from this forum.

If you dont have enough experience, feel ready to be victim of professinal traders. Trading is something requires experience without any additional news checking or reading order book. Professional traders only need naked chart and moving averages to predict future price Wink

The easiest way to make money with cryptocurrency is to join steemit and earn free steem there. Everything I own in the crypto world was gotten through steemit. I have Bitcoin today is because of steemit. When you but steem and power it up, you feel earn more steem when you upvote posts. It's a very interesting place. Trading is another good but risky way of earning cryptocurrency.

What is bitcoin for you? Is it a chance or a scheme to get rich? Or is it actually to keep your wealth to yourself.
What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?

To me, Bitcoin is a source of income, a medium of exchange, payment and money transfer. Paypal has a lot of restrictions for people from my country, so Bitcoin feels in that gap for us very well.

Re: How do you keep your bitcoins?
by
ogoowinner
on 17/10/2017, 01:23:52 UTC
I would not trust an online storage site or an exchange with a large amount of money. I would only put money on an exchange for trading and I would keep some stored separately in a secure location. So the question is what is a secure location? Most people would say an offline paper wallet is the most secure. If you know that no one has the private key, then that probably is the most secure. You would need to make sure you keep the wallet address and private key where you can get to them but they are secure like in a safe deposit box or a safe.  As long as you do that, you should be fine.

Then the problem is what happens if you die and you want a beneficiary to have access to the coins. For this situation, you may need to leave instructions on what to do with the keys in a will or in the safe. I have heard of people keeping the public and private keys on a thumb drive, but I have heard that the data may not last forever on those, so a paper wallet is probably best.

I keep my BTC in an online wallet. I want to invest more on Bitcoin too, Please would you kindly tell me how to get the paper wallet? Thank you.
