I reverted back to 1.3, all after 2.x.x have not been connecting for at least a week so far.
I cant make any sense of it, google hinted that sometimes Polo API does not play well with some keys after some time.

I'm waiting for Gunthar to see my PM, we'll see how it goes.

is anyone having issues with poloniex connections?

the bot never connects for the past week or so, it just gives an error saying "The connection with the exchange timed out. Arming gunbot again"

I cant connect with versions 5.0.5, 5.0.4, 5.0.3, 4.0.5, 4.0.4, 3.3, 3.3.2, 3.2, all of them are connected to the same key

Version 1 works, which is connected to a previous API key, as does manual JSON requests.
I have already pm'ed Gunthar and am waiting for his response, but maybe someone else has had this issue and solved it somehow?

Hey there, first off all, don't panic.

Assuming that your copy is licenced and your internet connection is not too bad, look in your config file for any extra spaces that might have been pasted before or after your API key, or your secret.

If you used copy/paste to enter those values, i'd say it is more than certain that this would be your problem.





The bot runs natively on linux, without GUI. Use multiple terminals (i have 6 virtual desktops with 4 terminals on each.) I also fnd yakuake drop-down terminal to be very useful.

Others have suggested using a programm like pm2, or screen, these allow you to create terminals that will not kill processes that are rinning, if you close the terminal window.

I prefer running them in virtual desktops, because it is easier for me to maintain control over them, YMMV

This is great news, thanks Gunther. I've downloaded and run all versions since Russian Roulette as a test drive, i kept running 1.3 since i bought the bot, i love that strategy.

Having it back in ver 2.xx is great news, downloading and running it ASAP.

i still am running the 1.3 Russian Roulette, along the 2.0.2 that was released a couple of weeks ago. I find it so much fun, sometimes it buys up all my btc in an alt and it gives me the creeps, but i freaking love the outcomes all the time!

I prefer the 1000trades strategy, for its steady flow, not sure if it still works in the new releases, or it is supergun only.

Gunthar, i know you said many times that there's a support group on Telegram, but there;s a lot of us who dont do Telegram.

I for one, dont like all those apps that want to have my phone number, and Telegram is one of those.
Would you consider setting up a suppport thread, if you dont want to fill this one with support requests? Or maybe an IRC channel?

On topic, i downloaded the bot on march 3rd and funded its account with BTC0.99. Today it is march 16th and this screenshot is the outcome.

Keep in mind, there was a lot of downtime those twelve days. Still the bot paid back what i spent to acquire it, and now is making profits.
I had it running mostly on 1000trades, and my settings were the default, with the exception on MAX GAIN that i had set to 1.8, LAST TRADES were set to 350.

I can upload the trade history if any data cruncher wants to analyze it and tell us more.

i have it running in VM now, but on my laptop that a i also use at work, so i need to shut it down on my way to/from work.
I already own a netbook that is not being used and this is a chance to actually put it to work.

I would need to connect to it remotely every now and then, to see if all is well, and it can be running 24/7

The android idea is just for fun. I used Linux Deploy to load a xubuntu setup, if the bot is not generating too much traffic(to mess with the mobile data limit) i think it would be neat to just have a droid trading
