Heh - I checked it a day or two back, marveled at its elegance, and then forgot all about it. Looking at it again now I saw it reporting "status ENABLED" while the wallet was syncing, then "WATCHDOG EXPIRED" once it synced. I pressed the "Start Alias" button (hey, this is way easier than doing it with console commands) and got a message that the MN had started. My earlier attempts through the console had all reported failure to start. The "WATCHDOG EXPIRED" status is still on (needs a mouseover explanation?) and the masternode.me stats still say don't say 12.1 a few minutes and refreshes later, but I think things may be OK. I'll keep an eye on it. Now to do my other 100 MNs (I wish).

I'm assuming you mean Feb. Anyway, if you are seeing it on DRK.MN and you are grepping 1 on the masternode list for your IP, it's being seen by the network.

Well, I'm still getting more coins. All network should be updated, it isn't enough to just commit a fix.
Money is not my motivation anyway. Probably will donate this to some open source project.

I don’t like the word hype as for me it implies exaggeration or positive misrepresentation and that is not what Darkcoin is about. I do think we should announce a proper launch date and give people time to prepare, especially if older clients will be kicked off the network. I run several masternodes for example, and will be traveling soon for a few days, I would like to know when RC5 is coming out to be prepared. Also whether we have enforcement or not pools need some time to update and if there is any form of enforcement then it wouldn’t be professional at all to do a ninja launch.  So giving some heads up is just basic courtesy and doing things right.

Having said that, there is also nothing wrong about creating awareness about our new release and letting the media know, that is just good business, but lets just stay grounded and keep the expectations realistic, focus on the innovations and what it means for the crypto world, not the price.
