It is not, but I think there are no important objections.

Daniel Kraft, what the fuck is this supposed to mean?

All objections are significant, especially given that you and Jeremy Rand control the namecoin.org domain as well as the GitHub repository where you are both happy censoring "objections" using the Namecoin username.

They claim to be advocates for "free speech," but they completely delete objections, ban users, and so on.

Daniel Kraft and Jeremy Rand's mere existence is an insult to our intelligence!

We need to get rid of these rotten apples and start working on Namecoin without these scumbags!

They just merging from upstream Bitcoin Core some improvements into Namecoin "Core" and pretending to be "Namecoin developers".

They are scam artists and criminals who beg for money under the guise of working on Namecoin.

Daniel Kraft, you should focus on Xaya and ignore the Namecoin community because you and Jeremy Rand bring nothing but toxicity here.

Speaking of namecoin.org, it is hosted in Europe's sole dictatorship, Hungary.

Code:
;; QUESTION SECTION:
;namecoin.org. IN A

;; ANSWER SECTION:
namecoin.org. 3600 IN A 91.219.237.223

Code:
{
  "ip": "91.219.237.223",
  "hostname": "sa1541.serverastra.com",
  "city": "Budapest",
  "region": "Budapest",
  "country": "HU",
  "loc": "47.4984,19.0404",
  "org": "AS56322 ServerAstra Kft.",
  "postal": "1066",
  "timezone": "Europe/Budapest",
}

It is appears that Jeremy Rand in fact working with Eastern European secret services, he does operating "DNS seeds" in Slovakia as well which he and Daniel Kraft hard coded into Namecoin "Core".

Hungary has been ruled by a fascist dictator, Viktor Orban, for well over a decade, with secret services kidnapping people from their homes, foreign organizations effectively banned, media completely censored if not dissolved by the government, and the country well-known for torturing and brutally beating refugees, women, men, children, and the elderly, among other things.  Not to mention the electrified 520+ km long NATO razor fences along the southern border.

At this point, I propose that namecoin.org be shut down and the GitHub repository archived so that others can work on Namecoin without being centralized and controlled by idiots who host the website in a fascist dictatorship in Hungary and the DNS seeds in Slovakia, which intentionally sends fighter jets to neo-nazis in Ukraine to start a third world war.

I demand that namecoin.org be shut down, as well as the Twitter channel @namecoin, which should be deleted along with all tweets, and that the GitHub repository be closed as archived, and that Jeremy Rand and Daniel Kraft stop begging for money while censoring, defaming, doxxing, and threatening Namecoin users, as well as leaking information to Eastern European secret services about the users.

What about having a WNMC a wrapped Namecoin. Then people can exchange it in Uniswap and the likes.

Dev update from yanmaani on improving the UX of the "name_firstupdate" and "name_update" RPC methods by making the values optional:

https://www.namecoin.org/2020/12/04/namecoin-core-name-firstupdate-name-update-default-values.html

And another dev update on the name renewal GUI:

https://www.namecoin.org/2020/12/05/namecoin-core-name-renew-gui.html

Nice. Got a link to PR on github where this is being done? Might attract some testers, reviewers, etc.

The name renewal GUI is at https://github.com/namecoin/namecoin-core/pull/376 .  Reviewers and testers are welcome.

Meanwhile, here are the video and slides of my Namecoin presentation at the Grayhat 2020 Monero Village:

thank you for your hardwork  Kiss

My biggest mistak was to fully verify myself at Bitstamp, where my mistake isn't specifically targeted at Bitstamp, but just the general fact that people I don't know have access to very precious personal information. I sent Bitstamp an email a while ago, asking whether or not it was possible to have all my details be erased from their system, including my account, but the answer was that they were legally not allowed to do so. In other words, my personal information is stored on their servers for ever, and I am now forced to pay tax because there is no way to move around it. I promised myself to never ever make the same mistake again, and I will stick to that.

They are based in the EU. What happened to GDPR? Maybe try sending a legal request asking them to remove your details.

For tax purposes, if you are american, maybe they are required to send your details by FATCA.

I ended up having a verification on Poloniex and buying there (right before the crypto pump, but i bought with BTC so it'd have been a better rate after).

It's really surprising that namecoin doesn't attract much attention.

That's the spirit. You can't expect people to do the work for you. If you want a great community you have to start yourself. As for me, I put another few hundreds dollars in Namecoin today. Total stack is 2000NMC. Only 1/3 to my accumulation target.

I bought around 3500NMC last year when it was sub $1. I sold them on the bull market as I needed money. Now I'm re-buying (1500nmc at the moment) and looking to reach 5000-6000NMC.

I think the probability of namecoin going into a bull market is weak. Especially if you consider the state of despair on the crypto market. However, the upside is laughable.

nmc could go to 100$+ prices easily if some whales mass market it. most people are unaware that nmc will lose lots of its supply once people starts to register domains as they burn the registration fee (0.01nmc currently). That with the people who already lost their coins due to inattention and negligence.

So how does everyone feel about the chances of getting your tokens bought out by wex? Still tempting to double your btc, but with the whole FBI deal, payment issues and so on, it sure is a gamble. Thoughts?

doubling your money without risk? no kidding.

Exchange is a scam. I'm havent gotten tech support for my account for 4 months now.

Exchange is not a scam but they are going through some rough times. I did pick some debt token and might pick more if it dips further.

remember that they could have simply "run away" and just left us with this page: btc-e.com

IF THEY AREN'T A SCAM THEN WHY ARE THEY GIVING THE THE PEOPLE THE RUN AROUND WHEN THEY HAVE ALL THE INFO TO LET BLOCK ACCOUNTS BACK

LOOK AT LINK

IT'S A $10,000 USD CASH REWARD OR CRYPO CURRENCY OF  YOUR CHOICE

You are screwed

https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@thejamesfund/usd10-000-reward-bounty-or-split-among-individual-s-in-helping-me-blasting-btc-e-aka-wex-nz-info-below

i got my money back. I assume there will be always people in particular situations.

Re: Advcash is gone too. Important Advanced Cash Card Program Update

WageCan[1] is only of the few card that is not issued by Wave Crest nor Mychoice - which means that it will work worldwide. The only problem is that the card costs $162 (don't really know why).
My other choice would be the TenX card, which can be loaded with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and will support other cryptocurrencies in the future.

[1] https://wagecan.com/Pricing

wagecan's cards are way too expensive for the average Joes, in my opinion.

Advcash wasn't really a bitcoin debit card, since you needed to have their native USD currency on Advcash to actually get it(even though you can indirectly fund your account with bitcoin). Apart from Wagecan, Tenx and Centra, I think that wirex are still offering bitcoin debit cards.

Pretty sure that they are worldwide. Have stopped using wirex a month back because of this, but i've received emails about it.

is wagecan trustworthy?

3% withdrawal fee for advcash now. getting more reasonable.

They've also lowered the withdrawal fee to 2% for PerfectMoney. Definitely an improvement. Good thing, because the only way these markets are viable is if people believe they can get their money out. The temporary 10% withdrawal fees looked very scary, because they looked like they were intended to prevent a bank run. And in that situation, one has to wonder how solvent WEX is in regards to fiat funds held.

I'd still like to see more volume, but the situation looks better than it did some weeks ago.

2% now. Premium for bitcoin is also down. Interestingly the price for their token is also down. I might pick some.

Are you saying they are running fractional right now?
Hell yeah on fiat for sure.
Seems to be fine on crypto reserves.

I wouldn't assume either way. It's certainly possible that they are insolvent. But they debited 39-45% of peoples' funds from their accounts to account for that shortfall. It's very possible that the admins were selling coins OTC to rebuild their fiat reserves.

We also don't know how much of their fiat reserves were actually frozen and how much was sufficiently unaffiliated with BTC-E. I think their bigger problem is inability to easily move fiat, which is no surprise. We know none of Mayzus' companies will work with WEX now. Tongue

they seem to be re-establishing fiat tunnels now. I assume they "somehow" own/run advcash. But now they have tether too and a handful of other options I don't know.

What a world we are living in.
