Forkdelta is totally a trash. Bancor I think is a Dex. The most popular and working Dex is idex. Binance is not a decent but is easy to use and it has its own app on mobile

Ethereum is what people call internet 3.0. Ethereum fundamentally created the practical framework of smart contracts which is what everyone are crazy about at this moment.

This is enough to pour money into it because of its prospect

I am quite reserved on this.  Personally I don't think it will last for up-to a century or more. If it does, newer elements will come up to make this current features entirely obsolete

Many are confusing the RippleNet with xrp. Ripple is a cryptocurrency but it's bashed because it contains centralized features which notably is the number of coins help by the dev or start up itself.

Ripple is a cryptocurrency

This is some good abbreviations or terminology compilation. It's good for noobs to know what they are getting into. Some of those things literally gives some people false meanings because they think it's something else

Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers

The only advice I have for you is to study more about the technology to be self reliant. You don't have to rely on anyone to give you financial advises because many are aimed to profit them. Be careful of the videos you watch on YouTube as many are paid to talk or are talking to be paid.

Below are some links in have in my clipboard. These will guide you to know more of the technology.

Re: Any signature bounty campaign for newbies ??

I have heard abouty bounty campaigns and i searched and found that you have to be a member of bitcointalk and have a good rank...but i am just a newbie..are there any good bounty campaigns which are accepting newbies in their campaign

There are some bounties that accepts newbies though they are not much.  You can try to locate them through creating a watchlist on places where bounties are posted so as to get quick notice

Re: Alternative Block Chains : be safe!
by

on 10/05/2018, 08:58:39 UTC
When I read about problems in some alternative chains I just imagine how satoshi would feel if he saw them.

It seems not many are as bright as satoshi to build a system so strong that it rarely cracks or squeal.

I havent experimented with altchains because of computer resources but I would very much try then out to see which truly makes sense.

The creator of this thread did point out some important things one has to look into.

Re: The biggest epic fail - Titanium blockchain

This is one of the loudest failures of late. I very much sympathize with the project and the holders of this coin. I also have some amount of these tokens. Sad I just have nothing to say. They took a thief and a fraudster to work, now it's just a disappointment and a frozen investment. Investors will be strong.

Who do you think has stolen the money and will the team be able to raise its project again? Or the reputation is undermined very much?

https://www.reddit.com/r/TBIS/comments/7zah5l/today_in_a_malicious_act_approximately_16mil_bar/?st=jdyh2iev&sh=e74eeb8d

I saw this ico but hadn't funds to invest in it. A guy told me to get in on it as it could rise to $50 by year end. But I just don't take people's financial advises.

But I thought they have sent the TBAR to people. It could be a coordinated plan to sell tokens n make money. This money will then b used to fork n send new tokens to others. At the end they still end up with a lot of cash

Thanks in advanced.

I don't understand your reason for creating this thread because there is no question asked here. Nor is there something worth learning as far as I am concerned.

If you wanna know about bounties independent research is preferable

Re: Do you think the markets will collapse
by

It's difficult for decentralized things to go down because you would have to do alot of things to be able to crash it which is impossible as you can't commandeer all the computers in the world.

Crypto market ain't like that but it will get there very soon.

Market is driven by sentiment. The unimaginable FUD of December till March caused alot of havoc but we are seeing that it won't work as before again.

All those When Lambo when moon kids has left and now many in the space are a big matured

Re: After ICO What do you do with your coin - HODL or Sell?
by
omozie
on 10/05/2018, 06:05:26 UTC
This is dependent on how you got your coins. If it was in ICO and it hasn't given you profit it is only sensible to leave it till it gets profit before selling. But if it's airdrop or bounties you can very much sell immediately if you don't wanna hold

The theory of strong hands VS weak hand is a very good lesson for beginners on cryptocurrencies. If you are not strong enough  you get wiped off from the face of cryptoverse.

If you stay your ground then you make much money..

Knowing More About the Blockchain Technologu
by
omozie
on 08/05/2018, 09:47:11 UTC
I started learning cryptocurrencies n Blockchain technology not long ago. I have studied the bitcoin Blockchain to access considerable extent..

* Learnt  how to start an ico

* Learnt how run bounties

* Learnt how n what it takes to be a project advisers

* Studied n learnt the fundamentals that drives the value of projects n to distinguish it from pure hypes.

* Have been studying the practical application of the tech to real life issues

* Even know there is something called permissible n non permissible Blockchain.. The one Hyperledger can present.

But I find that I still don't know much about other Blockchains such as the neo Blockchain n why it's different from others.

I know Ethereum Blockchain brought about an explosion in smart contract functionality which was first brought up by Nick Szabo.

My issue now or what i need now is a direction to get good n quality materials to study more n learn other Blockchain platforms.

Who can help?
Would really appreciate.

1,650 BTC PER DAY - 5,840,127$

This guy must have regretted creating this thread way back in 2017. How can Ethereum be a scam? The good thing is that several projects has been built on it since the time of this post to certify it's uniqueness

Re: What to do after being hacked?
by
omozie
on 21/04/2018, 22:32:38 UTC
Hi,

I see a lot of people being hacked or lost money.
I know a transaction is final but can you track them to a exchange?
So you can call the exchange and ask them to hold the wallet or something?

Or can you track them another way?

I hope there will be a good solution for this in crypto.

You can track the lost money to anywhere it goes but the truth is at the current time, even if you loose some good amount of money, you are done for. THere is no legal framework  in place to get you your money back. THis is because If i am in the far side of Asia while you are in Australia, it will be difficult for any legal authority to track me if i took your money.

The deal is we all have to be careful so as not to fall for hacks and scams.

Stay safe

It's both safe and not safe.  Depends on the project you submit to.  I don't like kyc and I try to stay away from it by all means.
