Roadmap for this year is not so impressive... Just may be Qtum Fhantom will be interesting.. but this is not something new. For example Tomochain is doing the same thing.
Phantom is interesting and much needed feature, They're also going to implement delegation system, Which probably going to appeal to a lot of people, Everyone will be able to earn interest risk free without having to run a node themselves.

But this is not new and something unique. A lot of projects have DPoS already. I meants something unique and usefull with real usecase of tokens.

Dpos is centralized, seems they plan let the smart contract be the delegator.. not a node.
also for dpos.. you can not get your reward automatically.. some times your reward based on your trust of the delegator..
i think that's the big difference.

also i think the Confidential Asset is a good feature.. just image you can release an anonymous USDT on Qtum.

What is the real usecase of Qtum right now? I dont mean node staking etc. as this has every project. I mean real usecase Qtum coins by some companies etc?

Thank you Bro, this is very valuable information. Especially if you are a developer. Are there any developers in the branch?

i think qtum have a lot of developer, but seems bitcointalk is dead now.

also they update a lot on Twitter rather than bitcointalk.

but why you say they will never add it?

remember Dark Coin (Dash coin), no one believe them when they released in 2014, but they become a huge success.

I suppose anything could happen. I just think their incentives are wrong to take a huge premine. We take a monthly payout dev fee, so we're incentivized to keep building and improving. A big premine just means they have the incentive to sell as soon as possible.

do you know dash coin devs mined more than 30% coin for themselves in the first day, and changed the algorithm to X11 the Second day?

but even it's 30% premine, DASH coin still become a huge success.

1) Pre-mine of 42,000,000 coins is not 2% of the total supply in any meaningful sense for a very long time.
In a month, you would have a total supply of 43,800,000 coins mined, giving your dev team nearly HALF of the total supply.
This is completely unreasonable for any crypto.

2) Also the confidential assets line is silly: both BitGrin and Grin core team are already working on this, and given that you haven't been part of those discussions, it seems pretty clear that you have no intent of implementing a solution.

3) There is a SERIOUS security vulnerability in your code due to the commit you started your fork from. Good luck.

4) BitGrin is already a better solution for the problem you're trying to solve. BitGrin uses the time-tested Bitcoin emission schedule and has confidential assets in the roadmap. Learn more about BitGrin here: https://bitgrin.io/

pub const DEV_FEE_TOTAL: u64 = 1_000_000; // 1M coins to match Satoshi’s Bitcoin holdings
that’s what they have 1M dev share
total coin 21M

4.76% of the total coin of bitgrin dev fees.......
