Re: Hero member onnz423 Stole From Btcpop.co

The truth is I used to share that account with several close friends, one of which is responsible for taking those loans out, since then that friend has since vanished and I have no means to recover the debt. As far as I'm concerned I am not responsible for paying these loans, as I simply did not take these loans out myself.

Now, thanks to the -trust of the DT members, you can be sure you will not be getting that money. I have been itching for a way to leave this site for a long time now, and the negative trust I just received has given me adequate cause to do so. You should have verified my identity on here before lending. I have never, and will never scam anybody.

Re: Differenciate of Token and Coins ?
by

According to the current nomenclature, a coin is a cryptocurrency that is currently running on its own blockchain, for example NEO, ETH and BTC are all coins because they run on their own network. A token is something that piggybacks on another negwork, e.g. ERC-20 or ERC-223 tokens, these are not full fledged cryptocurrencies, but many plan to make the jump to a proprietary network at some point.

Re: Really! Where is the fun at?
by

You are correct that the atmosphere in a physical casino is much more appealing. And something such as planning a trip to Las Vegas is an event the entire family can go to. None of this is possible at an online casino.

The online gambling isn't only geared towards gambling addicts. For many people like myself I just play because I find it more appealing compared to video games and I usually only play to kill time.

Other people like hardcore gamers they play Counterstrike all day and playing dice is no different. You control your risk so you can bet like 1 Satoshi per bet and you are doing it purely out of fun.

Also there are gambling addicts that frequent casinos also, its not only an online thing. Pretty sure there are more physical casino addicts than a online casino.

I don't think people expect that kind of atmosphere at an online casino though. Both online and offline casinos have their benefits, if you wanted the full experience you would of course visit a real brick and mortar place, but sometimes that's either not possible due to living in a remote location or other reason, or you simply don't want the hassle and expense of doing so.

Re: More and more Scam projects
by

I wouldn't say there are an increasing number of scam projects, but it is clear that a significant portion of projects are failing to reach their funding requirements now, probably because the market is saturated with average projects, and the money is being sucked out by the truly stellar ones. It's probably just best to only invest in those that are backed by big names, that way your money is safer.

Re: Unpaid bounty
by

Most bounties don't really take up too much time, it's very unlikely that you would have spent more than around 10-15 minutes per day on the bounty, even that is unrealistic, probably 5 minutes per day for the most part. There is nothing you can do, a lot of ICOs simply fail, and hence will not pay out their bounty, or if they turn out to be a scam, nothing you can do either. That's why you should be participating in multiple high quality bounties at once, so it's unlikely they will all fail.

Quite a useful website, thanks for the link.

It's crazy to see that NXT has seen a 15 million multiplication in value, that's unbelievable. That must be one of the highest ROIs of any investment EVER, and I mean ever.

Re: Gambling in E-Sports
by
onnz423
on 27/06/2018, 18:54:39 UTC
The problem is that both cryptocurrency gambling, and E-sports gaming are both niche areas, which means that you're looking for a niche within a niche, and when one of those niches is quite small (crypto-gambling) then you're really unlikely to find anywhere with massive selection or quality as it's still a nascent market. Once Crypto reaches prime-time, you can be sure this is where the market will be heading though.

Re: FIAT rewards for bounty hunters.

One of the major issues would be you would need to provide your financial payment details to these ICOs, and would you really trust them with this? Also, the payment processing fees would be quite considerable, particularly when summing the IBAN fees or Paypal fees that would be necessary for this, and the time cost for manually sending all of these payments. Also, the major reason is they simply don't want to pay real money, hence why they offer their tokens.

Re: Bitcoin and the event called the “halvening”?
by
onnz423
on 27/06/2018, 18:13:14 UTC
The block reward halves approximately every 4 years, this increases the scarcity of Bitcoin over time as newly minted bitcoins will not enter circulation as quickly as previous years, this also means that after the halving, it is likely that the value of bitcoin will rise because older bitcoins inherit additional rarity due to this change. When you combine this with the gradually increasing block difficulty, it's clear why BTC is deflationary, and self-sustains its own growth.

Re: TETHER 'PRINTED' 250,000,000 USD, WILL BITCOIN PRICE RISE?
by
onnz423
on 27/06/2018, 16:07:11 UTC
It really doesn't matter how many USDT there are in existence, the price is just pegged to $1 regardless. I guess this was due to the micro-fluctuations people were seeing leading to 1 USDT being worth slightly more or less than 1 USD, which is completely against the concept of Tether to begin with.

Decentralized exchanges just have low volume, otherwise they would completely smash centralised ones, which would be perfect as they tend to get hacked on a regular basis. That being said, I truly believe that the first solution to incorporate an automated matching system with a well known, well used decentralized exchange will take over the market.

Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers
by

Now it's for risk takers for sure, you definitely need to have some balls to invest a significant amount of money in the market right now, when the future isn't as certain as it once was. Investing $1k when the last 3 months have been green, and investing $1k when the last 3 months have been red are different levels of risk.

It doesn't matter whether or not these terms are defined within the dictionary, some of the most common words in current everyday language are not in the dictionary, or have only recently been added, including several acronyms. Fewer people are starting to consider the dictionary definition of words, or even word lists to be accurate anymore, as people no longer unanimously agree the meaning of dozens of words.

Re: our steps to deal with bitcoin conditions?
by
onnz423
on 27/06/2018, 15:12:37 UTC
There's nothing we can do to "deal" with these conditions, it's simply caused by changes in user sentiment. A few people reading here on Bitcointalk are unlikely to have enough sway to significantly change the value of the coin. The only way to sustainably change the value of the coin is to give it a reason to grow, such as corporate or government adoption, progressive regulations etc.

Re: Journey to a FULLY AUTOMATED BETTING SYSTEM - Free Picks Every Day
by

If it really is betting on 50/50 events, then you can expect that over the long run you will have approximately the same amount of money as you started with, so what is the point of the system in the first place, when you just end up with approximately the same amount you started with. Also, though your system shows positive results now, the sample size is very small, so it should even out eventually.

Re: What are some unique advantages of online gambling ?
by
onnz423
on 27/06/2018, 14:44:39 UTC
The convenience aspect of online gambling easily makes it much more efficient than playing at a regular establishment. For non social games such as slots and dice, there's really no reason to travel all the way to your nearest casino, which could be several miles away. Also, even social games are often better playing online as finding a game is much easier, especially when playing at the higher stake limits.

Re: Has anyone hit any Major Jackpots on any Crypto Casino's?

I've won a decent amount on a few NetEnt slots, probably won a couple of grand a few times, but overall I'm still down more than I put in as most slots have horrible odds. I mostly play when there are free spin offers, or special bonuses that make winning a lot easier, you definitely stand a much better chance at winning when you're using a bunch of free spins at 10 casinos at one  Wink

Re: Company Starts Paying Salary In Bitcoin ?
by
onnz423
on 24/06/2018, 14:38:22 UTC
Several companies actually pay their employees in Bitcoin or some other cryptocurrency. In fact, as far as I'm aware almost all ICOs have a crypto part to their salary, and many of the employees are working entirely for crypto. Right now, it's becoming less and less desirable as the market delves deeper into the red. However, for promising projects, it's certainly a reasonable payment option, the problem is even trash projects think it's acceptable to pay in their trash coins.

Re: How to deal with multiple accounts and abusing faucet?
by
onnz423
on 22/06/2018, 18:55:38 UTC
Every website that offers free faucet has to deal with this issue, it's normally wise to implement security measures before launching a faucet so you don't have the headache later. But there are a few simple tricks you can do that make it harder;

1. Prevent sign ups from temporarily email domains
2. Block all VPNS/Tor/Sock5
3. Restrict accounts to 1 per IP address, but don't make this rule public knowledge otherwise it will be circumvented.
