I follow aurora coin from the beginning. I still hold a big amount of coins in cold wallet. I am wondering what went so wrong with this coin and the price is going lower and lower... Huh

Basically a number of things are going on:
- Cryptos are in downtrend after the rally last year.
- Adoption of Auroracoin in Iceland is slower than initially expected.
- The reformation of the Auroracoin foundation to a Crypto foundation probably has caused some panic among people.
- From the beginning Auroracoin has been put "on the market" wrongly. See the initial article in the Steemit link that describes this.

Hey Than Ioan,

Forget about all his arguments. This coin is as dead as can be. Nothing is happening at all, you know yourself.
Just lick your wounds and be happy about the good projects you invested in.

Besides scams like DCM and TAK, this is the worst coin I ever put my money in. After 4 years, actually nothing happened. I think best thing for crypto is the foundation and board members step down and advice bittrex and cryptopia to take down aurora from their listings. Projects like this don't really help the crypto world.

I've heard the dev is going to work full time on this project soon, is this truth? And that another dev is coming back?

Only if we manage to collect the necessary amount of donations, so that JBG does not need his job any more and spend his full time on Spectre. He said that he needs about 60k XSPEC (or the equivalent in BTC, which would be roughly 5 BTC) so he can work full time on Spectre till the end of the year. So far, we have raised 22,500 XSPEC. I will donate some more XSPEC later, but if any of you could contribute BTC or also XSPEC that would be greatly appreciated. If we raise more than 5 BTC, he will be able to work fulltime even in 2018, and maybe an additional new developer will be hired.  Cool

You can find the donation addresses here: https://spectreproject.io/donate/

He also plans to integrate a feature into the wallet so that staking rewards (or a certain percentage thereof) can be donated automatically to fund development, which is a really cool idea IMO.

Just send a BTC donation, good luck with your project!

You are just talking nonsense. I bought for about 20 btc all xspec coins from 7000 sat to 15000 sat and I even never heard about deep onion or whatever you are talking about, so quit the bull shit. And in a half an hour, I am again going to buy for about 5 btc up to 15000, so you can see I am telling the truth.

is this coin pump and dump?
if the dev is not working full time on this coin, how does it plan on competing with monero, zcash and others?

Are you kidding me? It wasn't until this week when this coin received more volume then a 24 hour McDonald's.
We're talking directly to the dev full time over slack, transparent and consistent.
We dont need to compete with Monero and Zcash.
XSPEC = Monero + Zcash + POS + OBFS4 + Equality.
We're already in a different league everywhere else aside from Market-cap.
Any future update is just a bonus.

I will keep repeating for those who choose to listen, just hold on to your coins and as deep onion coin grows, spectrecoin will inveitably tag along. the only reason this coin has has grown the the past few days is due to the pump experienced by deep onion, due to the similar proposed tech. So a smart man will realize that deep onion coin still has multiple air drops and hold according. Hold on you will be  Cry later

I have corrected your post below:

due to having obsolete tech to Spectrecoin, having not run on TOR blocked networks, a poor and stupid man will realize that deep onion coin still has multiple air drops and hold according and then shill on every fourm possible with no supporting facts to support their argument.

Now YOU and YOUR little deep onion peasants can stop shilling your shitcoin in our thread. Have some respect for this community. I do not appear in your thread. Your tech argument is wrong, you are wrong, your buddies are wrong. Go away.

Mods, do your job and screen posts relevant to signatures. Content is absolutely garbage coming from these Deep Onion Characters. We have a standard here.

Dude, i bought a bunch of this coin at $0.2 and whether you like it or not, i am doing you a favor. I shilled(yes I shilled) on the previous thread that immediately deep onion experiences a growth, spectre coin will experience one, and it happened exactly as I said. Whether you admit it to yourself or not, the price has been dormant till deep onion experienced the pump last week. do you think that's just a coincidence.
Anyway, am not going to argue tech with you, everyone has a right to their opinion. (Window based product outsold Mac based product for a long time, and some swore that mac had the better tech) but the fact remains that though deep onion might not be truly air-dropped, the marketing campaign is unbelievable.  Well funded ICO"s hve yet to achieve such publicity. So if I were you, I will quit bitching and count myself lucky that my investment is associated with such a highly publicized coin.
I know both coins are in competition, but any publicity is good publicity, and since it's undeniable that the current price surge is due to deep onion experiencing a price surge. A smart investor will fall in line and help ride that wave.

Hi guys,
I bought a ton of IOTA bitfinex, first made a withdrawel of 1000 IOTA which went through. I says now 1 Gi in my wallet, I guess this right.
But the I tried a really big withdrawel and the coins never arrived, but my bitfinex account said "completed".
After looking in the permalink I saw that I put in exact the right address, but when I look at TXID I see the last 9 characters from the recieving address disappeared.
Later I tried another withdrawel and the same thing happened. Bitfinex didn't answer my mails for more than 24 hours now.
Any of you guys an idea what is going on here?

The last 9 digits is the checksum which is added by the wallet side. The real address is the first 81 chars. You are fine. You also can reattach your transaction to speed up the confirmation if your transaction from Bitfinex is not confirmed yet. Go to your wallet and go to Histroy and click the bundle under the pending transaction and click the Reattach. You will see a duplicate transaction showed up. Don't worry only one of them will get confirmed eventually.if you don't see the pending transaction, it means Bitfinex has not sent the transaction yet.

The transaction was confirmed. First withdrawel to my new deposit I made was a test for 1000 IOTA, now my wallet says 1 transaction and 1 Gi. But the later 2 bigger transactions that bitfinex confirmed are not in the wallet I guess. No idea what the situation is now, maybe you can tell me.
Thanks in advance

I restarted the wallet, they all arrived. Thanks for helping.

Hi guys,
Not much news spreaded around here last 12 months, are we dying slowly?

To be transparent, things are slow going on our end right now.  Everyone is pretty busy with life at the moment.  2 members of the team are building houses(myself being one), one is doing a lot of freelance work which keeps him away from steady development during the week, and we're trying to connect when we can connect to get things done, though.

We're currently working on a merchant only version of the Android app, and some merchant friendly tweaks need to be made to that.  We've purchased tablets to provide to merchants as an AUR POS system, and we're testing that out and getting documentation ready for a push to get more merchants onboard.  A lot of the efforts right now are grass roots word of mouth by team members in Iceland.  The blockchain is functioning properly right now, and for the most part the price has been relatively stable, so technical developments are on the back burner in favor of code cleanup and maintenance.

We're also talking about revamping our server structure.  Currently, different members of the team run the various servers that are used for the blockchain.  We're looking to consolidate servers to one hosting provider(with multiple hosting locations), so that we can all maintain all the servers instead of individually maintaining our own servers.  I know that's common sense, but we just all spun up servers as needed until now.  Organizational structure is kind of the easiest solution to tackle at the moment without the need to get the entire team involved.  This process will most likely happen gradually over the next couple months.  We will also be discussing the maintenance fee upkeep for these servers, as the individual team members have been fronting the costs for the last 2 years.  This may or may not be paid out with the M1 funds going forward, but we have yet to formally discuss this in a proper meeting.  If we do decide to go this route with the funding, the community will be notified and made aware of our intentions.

I can report that there have been a considerable amount of Android app installs in the last couple months.  There have also been a number of uninstalls, but that is expected.

We'll keep everyone posted when we have news.  I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Fuse

Thanks a lot for the extensive update
