Hi Chrithu, I did a Google search on them for results about their website (across the web, with the exception of their own website) and couldn't find any information there. They could be brand new or in very early stages otherwise. Hope this helps.

Hi there, welcome to the Forum. You could make money mining but, in my opinion, speculating on the rise of Bitcoin versus the US Dollar is the better option. You could turn to an exchange like Mt. Gox to swap USD for Bitcoins (and own the currency), or trade a Contract for Difference (CFD) on the Bitcoin to USD exchange rate. With a CFD, you don't take ownership of the underlying asset. You speculate and trade on differences in price.

Hey, welcome to the Forum. How much did you buy your mining rig for?

By the way, regardless of what exchange you use, I would never store a large amount of money (BTC or EUR or USD) with them. Always keep it in a safe wallet that you control. Why taking any risk when it's unnecessary.

Thanks, that makes sense especially in light of the attacks.

Litecoin.org and PPCoin.org are 2 alternatives to Bitcoin. As others mentioned above, they are easier to mine, have faster approvals times with merchants but may be harder to spend.

How safe do you find Mt.Gox? And do you feeling comfortable using it despite the attacks? Or do you feel like we really have a choice in the first place?

I find it pretty amazing to see how far Bitcoin has come. People had barely heard about it months ago and now it's almost mainstream!

I do see value in enforcing rules like those to avoid spam. If 4 hours and 5 posts sounds tough, try other some other forums with tougher rules!
