Re: [Guide] Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup

After running the blades for 2-3 weeks, they both started to slow down to like 1-4 GHS. I don't know how or why. I tried resetting the PSU but it didn't help. The blades heatsinks are pretty cool not like before. So I decided to factory reset one of them and see if it will fix it. I shorted 2 and 3 with a screwdriver and then the green LED start to blink. Then I tried to go to the config page http://192.168.1.254:8000 but it didn't work. Then I realized that the blade is not turning on anymore. I tried turning off the PSU and switching different calbe, it didn't help.
Please help me out here.
PS. I have the other one running, but it's still slow.

Is the fuse blown?

How can I check?

You will need a multimeter to check it.  You can take it out of the socket and measure resistance across it - if it's open, it's blown.  Or alternatively you could leave it in circuit and powered, and measure the voltage on both ends of the fuse.  You should see the same voltage on both ends.  If you don't see any voltage on one end, it's blown.

I checked it and it's blown. I need to replace it, do you know store like radioshack or walmart sell fuses that I need to replace it?

I doubt RS or Walmart will have surface mount fuses.  Places like Digikey and Mouser carry them.  Someone posted this a couple of pages back:

So do I need 10 or 8 amp/125V? In the previous post one user bought 10 amp from local store and then another user posted that he bought it from this link: http://www.te.com/catalog/pn/en/RF1952-000

What could cause the blade to slow down after couple of weeks? I factory reset my other blade and it's working fine. At one point it bounced up to 7GHS but now its down to 1-4GHS average again.

I have a 4 module running at default settings with 300 frequency. The temperatures are 15 42 34. Should I up the frequency with stock psu? It's running at average 95 ghs. Thanks for any suggestions.

In your pictures...

Provide connectors 1 and 2 with 8 pin PCIe power. Connectors 3 and 4 are 8 pin (or 2x4 pin) CPU power. They are pinned and keyed differently so you can plug them in the wrong sockets by mistake.

I only have 1 8 pin CPU connector and 1 4 pin CPU connector. So, can I use a 4 to 8 pin adapter to make it work? Or I can just use the 4 pins and it's fine.

Hey guys, I posted my problem yesterday but no replies.  Sad
Today my power supply came along with 1 6pins to 8pins adapter. It's a 850w PSU.
So basically I think my avalon mini is still functioning after i screwed up the PSU, so I am attempting to power it up with a new power supply.
Here are the images I took and please help me out on how to connect them. Let me know if I anything else or this PSU will not work with the avalon mini.

Recently I purchased a avalon mini and I kinda screwed up the PSU. What happened was I opened up the machine to check what PSU I have, but then a screw when into the PSU and I didn't know. Without screwing everything back in, I tried to start the machine. I tried it twice and it switched off my fuse panel. So I opened the PSU later and tried to figure out what happened, then I bought the screw stuck in between 2 circuit wires. My question is did I damage my machine or just the PSU? I have an new PSU coming in and I want to know what is the chance that I screwed up the whole avalon mini.

Once it took a couple of hours to update a sending transaction so Electrum was showing more BTC than i really had. Other than that it is fine.

So time solves that issue I guess?

If you are newbie(s) and you are using Electrum as wallet client. Please let me know your experience. I just downloaded it and start using it. So I am pretty new to it.
So far I think it's one of the best wallet clients out there.
