Well if you read my post you would know this is for practice before I buy a mining PC. Second you did not answer any of my questions and I find your post both invalid and a wast of everybody's time.
I am sorry to say this, but he is sort of correct, for SHA-256 coins at least.
Your best bet would be to give up on bitcoin and mine a scrypt based crypto-currency, like litecoin. There are some good flags at https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison#NVIDIA
You will either need guiminer scrypt or cudaminer

I have found that after every use I have to unplug and plug it back in again or disable and re-enable in device manager.
Cgminer is reporting 404 khash/s with 950mhz clock. It got to 424 on 1000mhz but I just figured that I'd let it run at 950mhz because its probably more stable at that speed (although I haven't had any hardware errors yet). I don't have a good way of measuring the temperature, but it isn't all that warm to the touch.
I can try and answer any questions about setting it up

What OS are you using? I'm on Win 7 64bit. Zadig installs ok, I just get an error saying no device detected.
When I install Zadig is shows up as a STM com port, not "CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller" as mentioned on the blog. Not sure this really makes a difference.
I'll try again tomorrow, I'd like to get GPU and ASIC's mining happily with one CMD window open.
Is your error in Zadig or Cgminer?
Did you try just disabling and re-enabling the virtual port in device manager? That seems to fix the no device detected error in cgminer for me

If you want a method without using scripts, you can just paste the following function into a cell

[ANN] LTC/Gift Card Google Docs Exchange (Got any gift cards to get rid of?)
Hello,
I was thinking about how it is so hard to buy crypto currencies with credit/debit/paypal and I decided that having the ability to exchange a gift card code (irreversibly) might make buying and selling a bit for USD a bit easier. I made a Google document exchange for converting any type of gift card into LTC to test this.

Right now, there is only the option to sell gift cards for LTC, as having an area for buy orders could get messy because of people wanting gift cards to different stores, however I could add one if a ubiquitous gift card store was chosen (maybe amazon?). Also, this is only for digital gift card codes which can be added to an account balance instead of being spent over time, so as to be able to confirm validity instantly.
Anyway, if you want to add an order to sell a gift card, please comment or request access to edit the document if you want to help.
