@jox
Just as a sidenote, since you appear to be confused about that. It doesn't really matter when the staking transaction happens. Your reward size will be adjusted proportionally to match any days "lost" in-between start and end of the process.
You can check how that works by adjusting "Age of transaction (days)" in the calculator I linked.

each of  my biggest two ballances have 17.871% probability.
that mean, that should be chosen to be minted in average approximatedly every 5.6 days.
That's certainly not how it works. You can use http://peercoin.github.io/peercoin-POSCalculator/ for example to calculate percentages properly.

so I think, someone don't want to reward me or others to have big and frequent reward, but only small reward.
The entire network is trying to do the exact same thing you are doing at the moment: generate blocks to get the block reward. Read: You're competing against a volume of ~100 million coins worth of valid transactions each day. Transactions that have been actively staking for months at a time.
And there's only about 150-170 blocks that can be generated on any given day.

Before you change that POS logic in that one specific update for wallet, reward was no problem.
Can you point out which exact update you are talking about? Because the PoS algo hasn't been touched in years.

To summarise:
Either combine your transactions and turn off stake splitting if you can't deal with sporadic-every-now-and-then rewards, be more patient, or get more coins to stake for you.

transaction with highest probability don't have highest probability.
By that logic we should be seeing a lot of small time transactions, near 100 coins or lower, minting blocks left and right. That is not the case.

Are you, per chance, keeping your larger transactions in a secondary wallet?

after a month none of them was minted.

now in 90days mint probability:

2 of them 263 days age, 99.999% mint probability
2 of them 257 days age, 99.981% mint probability
2 of them 229 days age, 99.978% mint probability

can someone explain the formula or logic how the transaction for POS is selected? Why the highest probability no longer has priority over lower probability. It is pure random or how it work?
And of course I have latest wallet version.

>can someone explain the formula or logic how the transaction for POS is selected?
99% 90 days mint probability means you are required to run your wallet 90 days at a time (read: 2160 hours) to get a probability of 99% (read: very likely).
This doesn't mean you cannot mint anywhere in-between 1 second and 90 days of runtime. It's just more likely to happen towards the 90 day marker.

"263 days age" doesn't factor into the above outside of accumulating transaction weight up to the 90 day mark.

>Why the highest probability no longer has priority over lower probability.
The selection process is not stack based. It's based on probability.
If you were to flip a coin, where each side has a probability of 50%, would you end up being surprised about getting head over tails on any given flip?

Hello, I'm not sure how this coin stakes.  It was staking nicely for me and then it seems all deposits to the wallet matured and now hasn't staked for about six months.  Is something wrong on my end or is this normal?

Nothing changed in terms of functionality, but you're now looking at a way increased network difficulty compared to 6 months ago. Meaning transactions carrying a similar amount of coins would now take longer to find a block.

If you would like me to check, whether everything is in order, you could PM me a screenshot of your wallet with the minting tab open.

Thank you. It might take a day or two.  It's on a Mac that I'm not using that much.

Low uptime certainly would be a factor as well. In an ideal case you would be staking on machine that is running 24/7.

Staking is messed up. No way that coins with highest mint probability was not still minted after wallet update. The higher amount coins, the lower mint probability, despite what I see in mint probability column. Can't be that big chunk of coins never minted after update, it was 230 days 30x bigger probability and nothing. Look's like bigger amount are forbidden from staking.

This https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/#!extraction page would like to disagree.

"The higher amount coins, the lower mint probability"

If that was indeed the case, why not set up a lot of transactions containing only a single coin, and see where that leads?

A new mandatory release is now available.
This release focusses on removing the timestamp field from individual transactions in an effort to make transactions more compatible with upstream style transactions, meaning it will become easier to develop third-party software related to pandacoin in the future.

The full rollout is scheduled to happen on Mon 1 Aug 12:00:00 UTC 2022 so please make sure you have your node(s) upgraded by then.

The new release can be downloaded from the release page https://gitlab.com/pandacoin/pandacoin/-/releases/v4.11.7pnd or from our regular homepage https://pandacoin.tech/wallet.

Can someone update the exchanges on the website?

I believe the list is updated. Which ones are you missing?

When I posted Altlilly was there and Unnamed was not.

Which site are you looking at exactly? Altlilly is not listed on https://pandacoin.tech/resources#exchanges

As for unnamed, the post below yours should be self-explanatory.

how to stop staking / minting in new PND wallet. guide me.

It's no different than using the old one. Keep your coins in your wallet, your wallet running and unlocked.

I'm looking for testers for the release candidate of the next core client upgrade:
https://github.com/DigitalPandacoin/pandacoin/releases/tag/v4.9.1.pnd.rc1

Do note that this is a pre-release. Do not download this if you value stability.

I would love it to take less than 4 days to deposit coins (need 100 confirmations). How could I mine, and help speed that up?

thanks,

PTDbaU8ppj9oP57F9cddbrGDKkSRbSZrW2

More people mining will not help speed up your transaction, as there is only so many PoW blocks that are allowed to be generated in a given time frame.

If you're unhappy with the amount of confirmations it takes for the receiver of your transaction to verify it, you should ask them to lower that amount.

Right now there is no updated guides I can offer. You should be able to find a pool with one of the more recent posts we have put out on medium. Keep in mind still that there are no payouts being processed by it currently.
