spent quite a while on google, cant seem to find much domestic (cyprus) media on Neo & Bee, considering they're 1st location supposedly already "soft-launched" there really nothing i could find, in contrast you can't even put up a bitcoin ATM most places without it making the front page of reddit, never mind opening a bitcoin bank. does anybody know how to say bitcoin in greek?

...This has been working for 2 months now and just continues to roll on.

Got to give credit where credit's due.  The guy knows his crowd and his endgame is awesome to watch.

way to attack me to confuse the point, but the fact remains that posting a picture of a bunch of cut out newspaper articles spread out on the floor might be considered good PR for a lemonade stand, but is surely damaging to investor confidence in this thread.

We ask for news about our investment, and the CEO shows us a bunch of news paper cutouts spread out on the floor!?? and he seemed to show up out of nowhere too, Danny either you are too busy getting ready for NeoBee branch 1, easyco.in and everything else but you have time to lurk around your thread and when prodded for updates this is the what we get? This company has like 9 mil worth of bitcoins it raised and this is the best it can do with OUR investments? how are we supposed to have confidence that a company that does stuff like this is supposedly going to be able to navigate federal banking regulations and run a bank? seriously, only in bitcoinland.

I think it safe to assume that companies don't typically get this kind of press without having some legitimacy.

Exactly.  But if Danny had sent his schedule/minutes of meetings with regulators etc the criticism would have been..."where's the publicity".

But the mention of 'federal' suggests pastfarian is in the US....and of course Europe is the same as the US Wink ...and everyone should do everything the ways Americans do...they have such a successful economy/banking system....Wink

We may be quiet on here, however locally where our attention is entirely focused we are being extremely public, below is some of the print coverage we have received across December and today alone we had an intimate meeting with in excess of 50 journalists. This image naturally doesn't include any of the exposure we have received from the television and radio stations. When time permits we will upload every recording and copies of each article.

Thank you! A small sigh of relief on my part.

But please, keep it in someone's diary to release small updates to your investors on at least a weekly basis until you've returned your share price to IPO levels.

Cheers!

Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It

On the other hand, did any other bitcoin asic company consider broadening their scope, like AM revealed in their last update?

bitcoin asics is a once in a lifetime opportunity. being able to develop a chip so simple it takes only a few engineers a few weeks to design and selling tens of millions of dollars worth of them at 10x or 100x intels margins, I've never seen that before  and don't expect I will  ever see it again.

+1

I can't imagine how these distractions with immersion cooling and 50 port usb hubs is even worth there time with everything at risk and to gain from ASICs, i mean hey, immersion cooling is super cool (pun intended), and it can potentially be a critical piece of the puzzle but to see that getting mentioned in press releases while competition is shipping 28nm, man it makes me nervous that i hope they didn't get sidetracked and forget the reason why people invested in them (ASICs).

Probably because it isn't online yet, i'm sure if it was they would send to found blocks to their mining address so everybody can see, which is conceivably why they send the franchise payments there.. you can't see it because it hasn't happened.

Network hashrate has risen to 2300TH.Who's driving this boom?Bitfury,KNC or, the 500TH of AM?

Don't know if http://erpao.info is official, but it still reports 47 TH/s (in solo mining).

It is the unofficial but accurate record.

It seems the hash rate in the new data center, which should increase 3-5TH daily according to friedcat, is not included in this stat yet?

I have been holding btc and alt coins since Q1 2013 and reading about BTC more or less daily since late 2012, I am not a developer, but in the physical world I am good at what i do. I started reading bitcoin securities and bought some shares a couple months ago. I am disgusted by the way the securities community acts in the bitcoin "world". and more over i fear for its future unless asset issuers and holders have a mechanism to seamlessly transfer ownership and allow for price discovery unhindered by bullshit nanny states and super sketchy exchanges. The bitcoin business industry needs the ability to offer shares and IPO's in order to generate funding for projects from within, thereby providing a mechanism to build momentum and weaken the cryptocurrency pair with fiat (I know that's a long way off if ever but i digress). there are projects that I would invest in today that i wont because I am just not prepared to get involved with A) exchanges and B) assets being issued without cryptographic proof of ownership. We need colored coins. Besides throwing coins at it and name dropping "colored coins" everywhere, I'd like to help.

If it adds up now, he must have purchased to fix it after his announcement.

So let me get this straight: Ukyo was fractioning his AM shares, got margin called (or however you want to put it), had to buy the shares at market, and now is MIA? How many shares are we talking about here?

Friedcat said the profit margin would be one digit next year. It's friedcat saying it, not me.

I think the majority of people have misinterpreted this comment, if you read it more clearly it has the opposite connotation, AM is preparing itself so that Gen2 will be competitive even if the ASIC manufacturing industry is faced with single digit % profits. do you see the difference? They will produce Gen2 at a low enough cost that they can chase the margin down to single digits to squeeze the competition. I think the interpretation that GEN2 will be produced and out of the gate only see single digit % profits... i find it laughable that anybody could have made this assumption. my 2 cents.

In a mature industry margins are squeezed to zero. The only exceptions are brands, which command a premium. ASICs are becoming commodity hardware and over the whole industry, at the margin, the margins will be driven to zero. In this sense the bears are right.

Asicminer has both early mover advantage, which is short term, and the advantage of having personal relationships with manufacturers in Shenzen to produce hardware at cost. The latter is 'invincible' and it is this you are investing in when buying shares in Asicminer as a mining company. In addition, friedcat has proven adaptable and an astute strategist. There is also a hope therefore he can create new value opportunities as a businessman.

Others' advantages could be hosting costs/power. The franchising model hopefully can marry this with friedcat's manufacturing advantage.

I agree with the part about the mature industry, but what the time frames that i am talking about are the next 2-6 months (rest of this year to say end of Q1 2014) we are still going to be in double digit returns territory, even in bitcoin that seems where time seems to move like dog years, we won't mature that fast. But this is all besides the point, what i was referring to is the interpretation of the message from FC, I don't think they are predicting single digit returns, I think they are forward thinking, again to the "invincible" manufacturing costs.

Lets look at it this way, and i'm not saying this is the only way, but lets try and see if we can get an eye into the mind of some of these different ASIC competitors, one of the reasons I like AM is that they are going for "invincible" manufacturing costs, they aren't trying to produce a 10 Th chip the size of a playing card, instead they are using smaller chips with, and this is a guess, lower $/th production costs, meanwhile all the competition is talking about their gen2 products being monster chips, i have a feeling AM is going to break this trend and will come out with a smaller chip and an ultimately lower cost/unit and cost/Th. In a year or two, when ASIC manufacturing start to approach "mature" industry status, it will be the cost/Th of the units that come out in the next couple months that determines who will be a viable player, and who will not.

"This place is not rainbows and butterflies."

Hey, longtime lurker on bitcointalk.org and i've been watching bitcoin pretty closely for about 8 months now, I created an account because i want to buy some asicminer shares in the /auctions, so while while i appreciate your friendly warning, it's also kind of hilarious that at this point in the age of the internet that anybody still has to be warned not to take any wooden nickles, I might be a 'newbie' on this forum but i'm not a newbie in life ( i know, famous last words as i go try to buy some asicminer shares). Anyway, that's my introduction and my two cents.

thanks
