Exactly, it would be foolish to buy Zcash for such a high price, while a better version of it with highly active development (ZEN cash) and soon marketing is available.

Take your time for research but basically: ZEN cash is the cheaper and further advanced version of Zcash.

The ZCash price has dropped a lot recently. So it might be good time to buy some.

Hello,

Just want to know how I can put a minus value on core voltage. I know that core voltage is set by using -cvddc

Quote
-cvddc set target GPU core voltage, multiplied by 1000. For example, "-cvddc 1050" means 1.05V

If I want to put -96mv, how do I calculate this ?

Thank you

Just use msi afterburner or asus strixx, setting overclock on claymore is buggy sometimes.

I only use the voltage setting on the afterburner, it is much more reliable.

Re: Will ETH mining difficulty come down?

Hi guys,

I have been lurking for a while now and thought I would make an account! I just got a mining rig, 7 GTX 1070's and am planning to mine ETH and see how it goes for a month. I have been concerned with the mining difficulty and feel like I can always switch to ZEC if ETH's difficulty goes up to a level that is unsustainable. I was thinking about just mining ZEC and buying another rig for ETH but hell it is so hard to get GPU's nowadays.

Check profitability on whattomine or some such - ZEC has been more profitable for 1070 cards most of the last 2-3 months than ETH has been, though it's been close some of that time.

If you dual mine, it might be more profitable to do ETH.

I think that most people don't realize just how bad Zcash's inflation is. 100+% per year is absurdly high. That's a serious disadvantage compared to coins like Bitcoin, Monero, Litecoin, Ethereum, and many others which have far, far lower inflation. Holding a coin that will more than double its supply in just one year is a huge risk.

Or ZENCash if you like the technology of ZEC ..

What is the main difference between ZENCash and ZCash?

Zcash has huge inflation (over 100% yearly), so I'd say the price is only going to continue moving downwards.

The high inflation now. In 10 years, the inflation will be low.

In the long term, the inflation rate will be the same as the bitcoin or litecoin.

Zcash inflation is how high this year? Around 200%?
How much money needs to flow into Zcash every month to just even hold this price? I am not speaking about a price rise.

Every day, there are 7,200 ZEC created. If the price is 200 each, that is 1.4 million dollar per day to support the price.

New version will be released within 24 hours.
Good speedup in dual mode for AMD RX460/560 cards.
Good speedup in dual mode for Nvidia cards, some speedup in ETH-only mode for some cards.

Will there be speed up for AMD R9 390?

For the 1 millionth time.

NO HASHRATE DOESN'T DROP EVERY NEW DAG. IT ONLY DROPS ON OLD GPUS LIKE 270X / 280X / 7970.
You are absolutely wrong.
Hashrate is dropping heavily for polaris cards 0.1-0.2 mhs every new epoch. This is stared 2 epochs ago. With epoch 199 you'll get only 17mhs with rx480. Just use --benchmark 199 option of claymore miner.

From my claymore logs

This is epoch #127

04:42:23:683   15cc   ETH - Total Speed: 83.277 Mh/s, Total Shares: 119, Rejected: 0, Time: 01:36
04:42:23:683   15cc   ETH: GPU0 28.012 Mh/s, GPU1 27.981 Mh/s, GPU2 27.839 Mh/s

Current epoch #129

13:40:17:925   708   ETH - Total Speed: 83.535 Mh/s, Total Shares: 76, Rejected: 0, Time: 01:09
13:40:17:926   708   ETH: GPU0 27.865 Mh/s, GPU1 27.900 Mh/s, GPU2 27.771 Mh/s

So it looks like it dropped about 0.05MH/s per epoch. So I retract what I wrote before.

However this isn't as bad as it was for Tahiti. Tahiti was like 0.15MH/s per epoch.

I only use Tahiti for ZEC mining.

Is there any way to have claymore dual ignore the intergrated grapics (a10 with intergrated r7 gpu)

I want to use the intergrated as a display and not mine with it, and only mine with the 4x rx 470s I have in there. I no other miners have options to disable mining of certain gpus.. any help would be grouse

Can you try the -di?

Guys.. my GPUs are working on ethermine.org pool, I have 3% of stale shares.

Is that normal? Can I reduce the number of stale shares?

Or that is a problem with the pool? For example: the pool gives the same job for multiple users/workers?

That is normal. I have 2-5% stale.

Thanks. But.. that means 2-5% of my hashrate/GPUs are working for nothing?! That's a very huge number!

Everybody has that kind of rate, so you  are not losing.

Zcash- 2019- 600 $   Cheesy
BTC will be more than 3000$ at 2019. SO i think ZEC will hit 1000$.
 Grin

So you think ZEC should be 0.3 bitcoin?

ZEC is the only coin iam very much afraid of...price is hugely manipulated by big players..i dnt afford to take risk on this

I think it is still early days, big players have not accumulated enough.

Now the ZCash's price is going to come back to the lows. The founder burnt some of those 20% fee funds and now not going to back it up for some time. While in the mean time, miners are going to simply mine more and more ZCash and trade them up.

I do not think the price will go back to the $30 range. It will be above that level for some time.

volume support for this coin was pretty good especially on poloniex but for now on probably there will be no big jump for the price i think because most people has concern to another altcoins such as ETH

I think the whales are still accumulating. So it will take several more months for it to be pumped.

Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022?
by
patricken
on 04/03/2017, 16:46:58 UTC
It is said that bitcoin will destroy the fiat system but i believe that if this happens the world will change completly because banks and a lot of things will go out of market.

I would find it very hard to believe that by the year 2022 everyone will be using bitcoin.  but i also would not be surprised to be wrong, given the remarkable pace at which bitcoin has already advanced.  I would say that by 2030 all governments in the world will be holding bitcoin and lightening networks will still allow everyday transactions also.
I think it would be very difficult for bitcoin to have users all over the world in the very near future, I doubt even though 10 years to come. bitcoin development takes a long time #IMO

There may be Bitcoin users in many parts of the world right now but the actual number of people is probably low. Bitcoin is still not very well known and it's going to take a long time for it to really catch on in a big way.

I believe there are fewer than 500,000 people using bitcoin. So it has great potential.

Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies?
by
patricken
on 05/01/2017, 08:42:32 UTC
I think Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies
because it is designed to be fluctuating price. Theres
no walls not supports that it is should be at the limit
price. Everyday its fluctuating than traditional currencies.

Your point is right, bitcoin is simply created to have no absolute value at all and because of its limitation to its supply. The value of bitcoin is changing every time the market of crypto's are in massive buy bulk orders. And every time the price of bitcoin is decreasing then that's because many are selling bitcoins at the same time.
to me i think still the main reason is that people re accepting bitcoin in a large scale, therefore there is always a big fluctuation in the price of bitocin. i think once the price of bicoin become stable then the price of bitcoin will also change and tazeyat.

I think not many people are using the bitccoin, it is still a speculation tool.

I have 2 6x280X rigs. They paid for themselves mining Ethereum back in the Spring (I was a little late to that party but still made decent money) and am now mining ZCash with $0 hardware costs and $0 electricity costs because I run my rigs at work Smiley

Can you run the 2 6x280X rigs without being noticed by your colleague? If so, you can run the 390 rigs. You can earn more.

I think my mining is complete free
rigs are paid back themselves years ago and every W they generate will be part of winter heating Cheesy

Yes, with Winter coming the effective rate for power is even cheaper if you can use mining heat to offset your normal heating bill. Unfortunately, I usually have a surplus of heat, even in the Winter, so electricity is still a "cost" for me. I need to figure out a way to harness all this heat for other useful purposes, like heating my water.

For me, the heat from the miners are good in the winter. Otherwise, I have burn the gas to heat my house.
