Why Cryptocurrency Will Not Die and the group that will power the next push will

Wall Street and the so-called professionals like Jamie Dimon and Warren Buffet keep saying things that present to the mainstream that crypto is a bubble, a fad, a sham etc. And the more they keep that path, the more crypto will grow. The reason is that these guys live in their own bubble and have no idea of what’s going on the ground. If they were to venture out and go to emerging markets, they’d see how wrong they are...

BLZ Token Sale Date Set Jan 18. Details attached
by
pavelbains
on 24/12/2017, 08:38:15 UTC
Token Sale Date
https://blog.bluzelle.com/bluzelle-token-sale-date-announcement-ccc6fb2a1c9f

The Bluzelle token sale will take place on:

January 18 starting at 10 AM SGT (2 AM UTC). It will run for fifteen days, ending on February 2 9:59 AM SGT (1:59 AM UTC).

Registration Overview
To participate in the Bluzelle token sale, you must be fully registered. That is a two step process, where you must:

Have been accepted onto our whitelist
Complete our KYC (Know Your Customer)
Only those who made the whitelist are able to go through the KYC process. You are on the whitelist if you received a confirmation email from us. Please check your spam folder if you are unsure. With 10,000+ people in our Telegram group, we ask you to check that yourself because it would be too much time for our team to do so for so many people. To save our diligent community managers a massive migraine, please do not direct-message them to check for you.

Those that make it through the KYC process will get a notice and then be able to participate on the day of the sale.

Registration Period
The registration period will run from:

January 4, 10 AM SGT (2 AM UTC) to January 11, 9:59 AM SGT (1:59 AM UTC).

On January 2, we will post more details about the process so that you can be prepared. As mentioned, this includes fulfilling our KYC requirements as we do background checks to ensure nobody from banned countries registers nor anybody found on watch-lists.

To prepare you for January 4th, here are items we will be asking for and checking:

Email (this must be the one you used to whitelist and cannot be changed)
First Name
Last Name
Nationality
Country of Residence
Date of Birth
Gender
Passport/National ID/Driving License Doc (a picture will be required for us to check)
Selfie picture
You will also need to put in your Ether wallet address. This does not have to be the one you whitelisted with. You can put a new one in. But it must be from services such as MyEtherWallet, imToken; and hardware wallets such as Ledger, Trezor. Do not use an Ether wallet from an exchange. Also, be sure this is the correct address you use because you cannot change it after this. This will be the only address used on the sale date and it must be controlled by you (that is, you have the private keys). We will only accept ETH from you from this address and ONLY send you your BLZ tokens back to this same address.

Flash Whitelist and Regular Whitelist
We are placing our registrations into two distinct groups. Those that successfully joined our 24-hour Flash Whitelist and those that came to the regular whitelist from Dec 8–18.

There will be individual caps per person. Those that made it to the Flash Whitelist will have a higher cap. The cap amounts are yet to be determined as we need to see final numbers after registration.

We will send reminders about the registration details through email and through Telegram.

Ethereum Core Developer and Original Ripple Creator Join Bluzelle Advisory Board
by
pavelbains
on 11/12/2017, 13:08:49 UTC
A couple of months ago, we introduced you to our first group of advisors. Each was selected for a specific role:

From left to right: Brian Fox, Prashant Malik & Gil Penchina
Brian Fox — CTO of Orchid and Creator of GNU Bash. He helps us define our open-source plans.
Prashant Malik — former Facebook engineer and creator of the popular database Cassandra. He helps us solve key challenges in databases.
Gil Penchina — former eBay and super angel investor in LinkedIn, PayPal, Ripple. He helps us with marketing and business strategies.

Now I’d like to present our next members.

First up is Alex Leverington. Alex is a former core developer of Ethereum having worked on it from the beginning. Alex is a widely respected engineer, whose expertise is valuable as he has a deep understanding of decentralized infrastructure and crypto-technologies. Alex’s feedback will be a great benefit as we develop a technical roadmap and get our first wave of use cases and customers.

“I am delighted to have the chance to provide feedback to the impressive Bluzelle team. The infrastructure of peer-to-peer technology has always been important for me and I am fascinated to see how Bluzelle develops its solutions in this vital area.” Alex Leverington, core Ethereum developer.

Second is Ryan Fugger, the original creator of Ripple who designed and implemented a multi-hop payment network into several online communities. It was then sold to Chris Larsen and Jed McCaleb who implemented the concept on top of their consensus ledger transaction system. Ryan’s expertise building decentralized networks will be beneficial to Bluzelle.

- how nodes interact in a swarm
- sharing messages and displaying the total lifecycle of each node
- the lifecycle of the swarm itself (nodes come and go, but the swarm lives on)

In the webinar you will have the chance to see all these interactions as well as the amount of space each node has and the relative age of each node.
We are having two events, one to accommodate each hemisphere. We hope one of these two events will time well for you.

November 30, 9AM PT for Western Hemisphere
Register at: https://primetime.bluejeans.com/a2m/register/dtvxqykq

December 1, 5PM China Time for Eastern Hemisphere

Bluzelle Token Sale Update #2
by
pavelbains
on 17/11/2017, 15:49:29 UTC
Most of you have been asking about our ICO details and we love the support and enthusiasm for Bluzelle. We realize that in the last few months companies want to release details quickly right before their ICO. They publish their white paper and rush everything in a short time frame. But Neeraj and I have been working on Bluzelle for a long time and come from the development world where you build a strong core foundation through product, team, advisors and community.
We like what the earlier ICOs did where they released their white papers, got feedback and made themselves stronger to create long term value. Hence the reason we put our white paper out early and have taken our time talking to people and creating the right token model for the public. This is important as there is a lot to consider when doing so. Key questions come up like:

What if the ETH price increases and we hit our cap before all the tokens are sold? What do we do with them?
What is the right BLZ:ETH rate that protects the downside of an ETH price drop but still gives good value to token buyers?
How do we plan out distribution of the tokens for developer community building and open-source collaborators?

Given all that, here I’ll address a number of questions that come up that should provide guidance to the coming weeks when we officially publish our token details. Here is our latest thinking on what we will do:

We plan to NOT be doing a massive +$30 M raise.

There will be a hard cap.

We will be doing a KYC and Whitelisting. We are using the same firm as Kyber. They were well recommended from the Kyber team.

There will be a pre-sale bonus. Those that whitelisted before in our Flash Whitelist will get special access.

Those who weren’t part of the last whitelist, need not be worried, we will have another.

We also plan to reward the early supporters of Bluzelle so they also get special access in the Presale.

We plan to to have caps on token buyers. Having wide distribution of our token is important as we are a decentralized service that customers will need to easily obtain to use.

We are working on delivering the right model and business for everyone. In the next coming weeks we will be announcing our partnerships and the most recent additions to our team. As you know with our other members like Brian Fox, Prashant Malik and Gil Penchina, we have been assembling a top notch group to guide us to success.

Additionally you’ve read about our product advancements with a release (called Lovelace) coming next month.

Thanks for all your support. Let’s keep building the swarm.

Why Cities Should Have Their Own Crypto-Currency
by

I was just reading on Coindesk about Citigroup CEO saying Bitcoin will give rise to state cryptocurrencies. 6 months ago Coindesk published my article on this same topic.

Would love to get your thoughts on this.

Re: [ANN] Bluzelle - A Decentralized Database Service For The World's dApps

There are some some competitors already in the market would you like to share the comparison chart what are advantages to use this platform and how users will get maximum benefits in future. This is nice idea and there big room of growth so it will be more interesting platform in future.

Hi there. A common question asked is how we stack up against Filecoin, Storj etc. This blog post answers that.

https://blog.bluzelle.com/how-is-bluzelle-different-from-ipfs-filecoin-storj-sia-and-ethereums-swarm-1d1d792658f8

Another comparison is to BigChainDB.

BigChainDB's current product is a technology where you either have to get your own nodes and run your own network that is built around MongoDB, but decentralized. This is fine if you want to manage your own nodes and have your own IT and is a far cry from anything that is ready to go and requires the developer to be actively involved in managing their own DB nodes and all upkeep. Quite different from Bluzelle. BigChainDB also has IPDB, which is a more "world database instance" kind of database. It does not appear to have any sort of swarming or crypto-economic model that guarantees decentralization and instead relies on "caretakers, which are organizations that agree to share the responsibility of managing the network. Very different from the mass-decentralization model of Bluzelle that scales on the fly and accepts farmers at will to act as resource-providers for the network, incentivized by the cryptotoken.

We are looking at OPE (order-preserving encryption) to do searches and range queries. Basically, and simply, OPE keeps the relative order of A, B, and C, so that the ciphertexts for A, B, and C are still in the same relative order. There are some challenges around this that we are working hard on.

You can do distributed searching this way despite the data being kept private, which is obviously very desirable.

[BLZ] Flash Whitelist Bluzelle Now Open
by
pavelbains
on 26/10/2017, 00:42:20 UTC
It closes at 9AM ET Thursday Oct 27

Bluzelle is a decentralized database for dApps. In the past we have provided blockchain solutions to HSBC, AIA, MUFG, OCBC. You can learn all about our product at http://blog.bluzelle.com

Why should you Whitelist now?
Those who come during this period will get advanced placement in the public pre-sale. We will be having a tiered approach, so we’ll make sure you get priority before others.

What do I need to provide?
Full name
Email address
Telegram username
Ether Wallet Address
Desired ETH Contribution

When will I find out if my whitelist registration was approved?

We’ll send you an email on October 30 whether your application was successful or not. Please note: we will not send any kind of contribution address by email. If you receive any emails mentioning a contribution address it is a SCAM.

Is this the only time to whitelist?
No. There will be another whitelisting period later. But those joining during this flash whitelist will get advanced placement in the pre-sale.

Is this also the KYC period?
No. That will come at another time.

The Flash Whitelist is easy to find on our website http://bluzelle.com
