Sorry about that. The Asiccoin client has recently started having issues with larger payments so I have restricted single outgoing payments for Asiccoin to 50000. Payments of 50000 will be made every 5 minutes until your balance has been withdrawn.

I think they're a liability, but a tolerable one, all things considered.
I find it unlikely that they'll ever be spent. It's clear from Satoshi's writings that his motivation was primarily intellectual/political/principled, and further, his decision, from the start, to remain anonymous indicates an understanding that bitcoin shouldn't be about its origin or any individual. Coming back to bitcoin, either by letting his identity be known, or by moving coins, would be damaging to the entire effort (not fatal, but damaging) since it would re-associate bitcoin with him in the present.

)Makes sense enough, so many new coins coming out it there's no incentive to stick around. And the staggering amount of existing coin out there, basically insures that there will never be rarity value.

Pre Aug 1 I would have said Goldcoin 100% (just hit the 45k block which reduced the reward significantly - however the difficulty is still quite low so you'll make out pretty well), but today I would say Worldcoin, Digitalcoin & Goldcoin.
Litecoin and Feathercoin are favorites, but they are pretty well mined out for beginners.
[Maybe Megacoin as well? Don't know anything about it, just going from http://www.coinchoose.com/ .. There are plenty of alt coins out there and I'm sure they all have some bit of merit, but quite a few of them are also.. meh. Can't really take them seriously and don't see them as something w/ long term potential.]
Also check out primecoin. As it's cpu based you can mine it along w/ whatever you gpu mine. Still fairly early in the game as well.

Hit block 44050, and just as we all really started hammering away to get the coins before the 45000 split/mess/notworthit, the whole pool goes down. Network MH has been 105+ today, was 50+ yesterday.

Digitalcoin/DGC wasn't premined or instamined afaik, probably contributing in part to it's popularity in the alt-coin poll.
