I have no doubt this will get back up to at least $14 in the coming months. I just bought back in on the latest dump and did not catch the bottom too well. I got in around 12.30 and 11.80. I'm still happy about that...

Re: Are persons from USA banned for participating in any ICO?
by

I get absolutely maddened when I have to deal with this. All it does it make the rich richer and keep the poor poor. Look at the data on ICOs. Nearly ALL of them profit insane amounts after release. The SEC banning people is not to protect them. If they cared they would allow people to invest and get ahead because there is VERY little risk that you will loose money in an ICO if do minimal research. Penny stocks are FAR more dangerous than crypto. They allow anyone to participate in penny stocks? The SEC does not give a F#$% about you losing money. They care about you making money. Hence, why they get involved only when the numbers start to get big --growth numbers not loss numbers.

Prl will be worth like 20$ end of this year and thats the lowest prediction i am giving
I agree. Pretty conservative number
yeah and my 2005 lexus will be worth $100k, if were throwing around random numbers
If it does, I will buy a nice flat. It's not too good to be true?
Not random. 64 gb is minimum. Possibly 512gb You can estimate a price for that. Still speculative though for sure
$20 is a 20bil market cap, assuming the market even recovers by then, thats stretching it, regardless of peg price. 90% of people who will buy it wont even care about the peg price, they will just be buying it because of shills

$20 is 1.4b market cap.

Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) Crowdfunding, Lending and Payments Platform
by
pbody
on 27/01/2018, 22:38:46 UTC
Anyone else think ELIX is trying to do too much? I think it should either be a crowd funding platform or a loan platform but not both. Its either a lending tree or a kickstarter. I think it should be just a loan platform.

I disagree, a loan is a loan, and ideally we want the crowd funding platform - lets say a business wants a loan but their bank offers a 2% interest rate, Elixir with its crowdfunding feature can offer a loan at 1.5-1.8% (For example) - So a bunch of Elixians crowdfund - the business is happy, Elixians are happy, the Bank on the other hand might not be too happy -- flash forward a few months and banks want to buy and hodl Elixir to distribute cheaper loans to each other.

things that do 2 things are awesome
example, Ethereum is blockchain + smart contracts.
google was a search engine, now makes phones, email, cloud storage, etc.
Amazon - 2 day shipping, video streaming, cloud storage, marketplace

i could go on but you get the picture

When I hear the term crowdfunding I think of kickstarter. Its more of a group of people liking a project and contributing. A loan requires some metrics of the person asking for the loan. Currently we have FICO scores, which need a lot of improvement... So they are actually two very different things. While a loan organization can easily also offer crowd funding, doing this will limit itssuccess. A company needs to be focused on one area to succeed. Facebook could not succeed at business social media and personal social media, which is why linkedin came into the picture. I think what is going to hold ELIX back is its slightly broad focus.

Is there any reason why price is dropping so fast?
lol just look al almost every coin listed on kucoin. All these coins were gaining so much so fast past week, just a normal correction. We cannot go straight up. We need fuel for the next run Smiley

Its just a low market cap coin. It does not take much for it to drop hard. Always expect low market caps to be extremely volatile. Important thing is not to be an amateur and panic sell. Through experience this is always a bad idea! Even if it takes a bit to recover, in the long term you are always better off just holding. ELIX will shoot back up just as quickly as it shot down. Wait til they release something.

Forget about it for now and take the time to read some whitepapers and educate yourself.

What are the most promising low market cap coins that are still under $1?
Don't invest in Deep Onion or NXT, if you want to make money then invest in a coin with a high daily volume so you can actually cash your money out when you make the money.

What your saying makes zero sense. The volume is low because the market cap is low... if it raises the volume will increase...

I think you should take it if it can be found at a reasonable price in the stock market, you can think of it as a medium-long term investment, but this is not an investment recommendation. Oracles is still not listed on the stock market, their networks will be activated before the 15th of the month ..

ummmm. POA is going to be on the stock market? What are you guys talking about? I feel like I just landed on another planet.

seems shady if it is backed by mark cuban i highly doubt u would need money from us regular joe soaps

Why are you on this thread? Just curious. Isn't the fact that it is backed by MC more of a reason to buy and sell at a profit? --participating in the pump and dumps.

What happened with this one? I had it on my ICO list as one to watch... Solid team who seems to be moving things forward and communicating here and on reddit --though not a lot of conversation happening. What am I missing? Seems like some people got screwed in the ICO? Similar to ENG? And others...

With the recent news and low market cap this seems like an incredible buy? The 'mainstream' argument does not hold up. Stellar is with IBM and Dragonchain with Disney and both are skyrocketing. What am I missing?

Disclosure: potential buyer.

What the hell just happened to NEM value?? 150% up?!?!?!!?

Is this caused by the overload in Ethereum?? Are people moving to NEM?
Was some news released? Any milestone reached?

Sorry, but I'm a bit absent from NEM topics. Just a long term holder that got really surprised.

Considering the amount of STR that is yet to be distributed, this shit is not going anywhere but down for the foreseeable future.

Read the whitepaper! They are only adding at 1% a year... I use to think exactly what you think here which is what kept.me.from.initially investing. Truth is that the 1% addition each year will have minimal effect on price.

IBM seems ahead of the game. They recognize the benefits of this sort of tech and aren't afraid to be the first to stick their nose out there. I think this is going to pay off for them (and us) big time.

IBM is always ahead of the game. They were making computers in the 1930s...
